We stay here 4 times a year: It's perfect for a stop over as it's right off the A1. The restaurant food is excellent so we always enjoy our meals. The breakfast is equally good, with a huge range of options and high-quality ingredients. Staff are superb - helpful, well-trained, and professional. Spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms which are relaxing to stay in.

We always stay in the same room (disabled access). A couple of ongoing maintenance issues: The bathroom is spotlessly clean but smells strongly of bad drains. The basin is also cracked and needs replacing. The wall lamp appears to be faulty, causing a strobe lighting effect when the brightness is turned up.

have stayed here before and were not disappointed this time. small issue with the room was quickly resolved by the very helpful staff! lots of space to exercise the dog on site. the restaurant menu had been revised since we were here earlier in the year but still a good selection of dishes on offer. we'll be back!.

when taking the dog out for a last walk we saw youths on motorbikes and in a car driving fast and recklessly /dangerously in the hotel grounds hopefully this does not become a regular occurrence.

Room was very comfortable, clean and warm. Reception staff member who checked us in was friendly and very helpful and changed our room to accommodate my husband's mobility issues without any fuss. Room service was very good and food really tasty and freshly prepared. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice and very well presented.

The one thing was that we are light sleepers and air con units were just outside our window so did disturb us That said everything else was excellent.

This was the second time we have stayed here and the breakfast is always good.; as is the bedroom. This time we also ordered room service - also very successful.

There was a bit of a break in communications between the reception and the restaurant - we had paid for the breakfast for our length of stay - no-one from reception had updated the restaurant. To be fair, the reception was having a few problems with technical issues.

We had a premier room, and it was spacious and beautifully clean. Breakfast had a great choice, and staff were attentive and regularly topped up food, so it was always fresh. Staff from reception, cleaning, and catering were all very friendly.

Our room was a little chilly, and there were no instructions in the room. However, we were out every day until around 10 p.m., so it didn't affect us too much, and we didn't ask.

Great location close to A1 but not noisy at all. Great staff, I arrived with 5mins to kitchen closing and they sorted it without any fuss. And the classic burger is real good , and real good Belgian beer, on tap a delight after the A1 roadworks delays! Rooms are clean spacious and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is great too. Will be back!

Very very minor thing....room I had, it had no bedside lamp but had dimming standing lamp which worked well at end of the bed.

Friendly efficient staff at this well run hotel. Spacious, comfortable room was very good. Good car park. Restaurant/ lounge food was excellent, including breakfast.

Air Con kept cutting out; on the second night , the fault was resolved. Hotel/Booking.com made a mistake with the charging. I paid the accommodation cost through the booking.com website. On the day of leaving the night-staff charged me for accommodation again. Anyway, the hotel refunded the double payment within two days.

The staff here were very helpful when I arrived as a displaced rail passenger on the night of storm Babel. I was very tired and stressed and they made me very welcome and comfortable . I had to stay on for 2 more nights till the madness on the rail system calmed down. They gave me a good deal on the room, extra tea and coffee as required, and even a voucher for a glass of wine. Breakfast is good offering a wide selection of foods to set you up for the day. Evening meals were tasty and filling and reasonably priced.

Handy if you are driving, as its situated just off Junct36 on the A1. However , limited things to do on foot. Did find a nice park about a mile away, with the help.of the receptionist. Buses and taxis are available.

Staff were amazing. Travelling solo with two dogs can be difficult, but the team here made us feel very welcome at all times. We had a spacious bar area which we could go in for our meals, which was a lovely open space. Our room location was perfect for us to go out for toilet erc. Plenty of parking. Food was amazing too!

If I had wanted anything different, it would be to suggest a small mini fridge in the room. Otherwise, very happy customer.

The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The location felt safe for both me and my vehicle. It is close to the A1(M) but is very quiet. Breakfast was varied, decent quality and sufficient. The room was smart, clean and big enough. Bed was comfortable.

It’s a good mid-range hotel. If I had to say something, maybe the bathroom was showing some age but it was absolutely fine.
