Cute little resort, felt like family and arranged any details. Free breakfast was a lovely added bonus. Head up to the rooftop for amazing views. Perfect for couples, singles or families. Bar/restaurants all in walking distance

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Victor, the night security guard was very nice and helpful. Victor was our go to guy if we had questions about anything. Daisy made the best breakfasts. We had an issue with our shower. It took a couple days to get fixed but that was mostly due to a communication issue about what I was trying to explain what was wrong. They did fix it immediately once they fully understood what was wrong and many members of the staff asked us if it was good. We also really liked having a kitchen in our room. We felt very comfortable here.

The location was good and bad. It was very nice being able to walk to many restaurants and grocery stores. The down side would be that it is on a very busy street. Lots of commotion early in the morning and late into the night. If you are looking for quiet and relaxing this might not be the place for you. There are alot of nice shrubs and bushes to help with privacy though. The tile walkways and stairs get very slippery when wet. Almost fell a couple times.

We stayed at the Blue Tang for three nights in the King room on the first floor. The room was spacious for two people and had a full kitchen. Staff were super friendly and we felt very safe having a security guard overnight on the property (though we never felt unsafe walking in town at night here). Filtered water and the pool were right outside our room. Breakfast was different every day; we had homemade french toast, egg sandwiches, and beef empanadas plus coffee, juice, and fruit. The location was excellent! We ate at Palapa, Sandbar, and Cool Beans, all which were very close. One of the best dive shops, Chuck and Robbies, is also only a few steps away. We walked to and from the ferry terminal/airport.

The Wi-Fi was incredibly spotty. We could barely ever get our TV to work because of connectivity issues. Very few toiletries offered in the bathroom (bar soap, small shampoo). Property next door was under construction and they started every morning at 7am (not Blue Tang's fault).

The Blue Tang Inn was an incredibly beautiful place to stay for a week. Breakfast was outside under a palm frond covered roof with Janet who took such good care in preparing a beautiful and tasty continental breakfast each morning. She was so kind to every guest. Hot, fresh Coffee was made using the locally produced coffee on Ambergris Caye. There was always plenty of seasonal fresh tropical fruit like papaya, watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, mango, and honeydew melon. So good! Then, there was a varying hot item each morning like meat pies, bean, chicken, and cheese burritos, waffles, warm sweet rolls, and others. There were cold hard boiled eggs every morning along with a pitcher of orange juice and water. Toast was also available each day with peanut butter, honey and butter. The seating overlooked the beautiful Caribbean Sea! There was also a lard porch swing available to sit on to have your breakfast. It was lovely. The whole property is immaculately cleaned and worked on throughout the day. There were no bugs in the rooms!! And remember, this is a tropical island! The staff was so hospitable and sincerely friendly. Fannie, the manager, and her staff was always ready to help us from suggesting restaurants, making reservations for us to eat and go out on boats snorkeling, to renting us a golf cart when we wanted it. The pool was refreshing and a lovely spot to relax after a day on the Sea. I cannot emphasize too much how beautiful this hotel was. We had brightly colored local art work on our walls and the shower and double sink bathroom was spacious and spotless. There is a large rooftop deck with tables, chairs, and lounges above the third floor that gave one a spectacular view of the morning sunrise and San Pedro. The hotel is within walking distance to so much including grocery stores, restaurants, shops, boat excursions, … Ambergris Caye is filled with friendly people and has that small town feel. This was a fabulous stay!

Great location, nicely decorated, big well appointed room, very friendly staff. Overall a nice place with very nice staff. I would stay there again but would ask for a different room.

Bed was rock hard and not terribly comfortable. Room was on the ground floor and at the street side corner of the building. Light shone in the room all night, every golf cart that went by made it worse. Any one walking to the local bars having a semi-loud conversation could be heard clearly in the room. Was woken up multiple times until 330 am on the second night and had to get up early to dive.

Very convenient location, walkable to the water taxis, cafés, restaurants, etc. Beachfront, but they also have a pool if you prefer. Great view from the rooftop, and there are tables, chairs, and lounge chairs up there too. There are tours you can book with pickup from the property, and they offer a golf cart rental also. The room was very comfy too, with a full kitchen, and clean. Staff was very helpful, and can recommend anything you need. Overall very happy with my stay.

The WiFi wasn't very good in my room, but not a big deal. I just went to a nearby café or restaurant for that.

Loved the location, Staff, facilities, and Simplicity of Blue Tang. Daisy, who served Breakfast most mornings was wonderfully friendly and informative. Early Morning Coffee, walking the Docks, and watching the San Pedro Waterfront wake up and come alive each Morning is something I already miss. I will stay at Blue Tang again in the future.

Great Location. Awesome staff! I mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and my wife's birthday, they decorated our room with balloons and even slipped a cake in our fridge. Comfortable rooms. We booked the room with the kitchenette. It had everything! This allowed us to save a little money on dining. They had some great tour options as well. We sailed on the Serena Azul. I highly recommend that over the motorboat type tours. They can take you to the famous marine life Hol Chan National Park. We snorkeled at the end of our dock and saw Sand Ray's, eagle Rays, eels a few varieties of tropical fish and Atlantic Tarpon.

The sun comes up early like 5:25 AM and lights up the room. This makes it challenging to sleep in for me.

If you're looking to get away from the traditional hotel stay, then Blue Tang is your place. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and cozy my mini apartment was; it overlooked the pool and ocean. The location was great, easy to get around. The staff was amazing and so helpful. They also provided an overnight security guard, which was really nice since I was traveling solo. Looking forward to returning.

The breakfast that they offered could use some improvement. Not much to say about it.

The best part of this hotel was the location. It is just down the street from the boat docks. It's around the corner from the best restaurants in town. We only had to rent a golf cart one day when we went to the secret Beach. We walked everywhere else! The hotel is lovely, peaceful, right on the beach, and right near the Palapa, which is a lively bar. They even included breakfast, which was like - mostly fruit and toast. But it was great for us! And we loved our stay!

I can't think of a single bad thing about this hotel.
