This place was surreal! From the moment we arrived, we felt any stress or worries just disappear. We immediately knew our stay here was going to exceed our expectations and create unforgettable memories. First of all the staff were so accommodating, friendly, caring and just amazing. Special thank you to the manager herself and to Agus! A funny anecdote is when we had left sea shells on our exterior table, and after the room service, we came back and found they had written LOVE with our sea shells :) The location itself was absolutely mind blowing. The bungalows, infinity pool, restaurant and garden area were so beautiful and perfectly thought. The atmosphere was very peaceful and cozy. The sand warm and soft. The white sand beach was stunning! You literally have one of the best looking beach in South East Asia all to yourself. The views were incredible. Before noon, the waves are pretty strong and I wouldn't recommend swimming in it. But if you look closely enough, you will see turtles a few meters from the beach! The low tide is in the afternoon. If it's not too low and not too windy, you will find almost like a quiet lagoon right by the shore. Perfect for snorkeling! The coral is pretty and there are many colorful fishes. The hotel does have some masks, but I'd really recommend bringing ''snorkeling shoes'' not to hurt yourself on the rocks. The restaurant was absolutely delicious. And that was very important to us, as there weren't many options available around for food (secluded area). Everything about the food and presentation was spot on. Drinks as well. We kind of exploded our budget eating and drinking there for 5 nights. Worth it though! After busy weeks in Bali, Segara Lombok was an absolutely perfect stay to relax and enjoy wonderful scenery and accommodation. Oh and on some evenings, the only warung that's next to the hotel makes bonfires!

Additional information: You can rent motorbikes directly from the hotel! The roads there aren't busy at all and safe to drive on. There was absolutely nothing not to like.

beach front the staff - mixed here- a couple were amazing amidst a few who were maybe training or more shy? room- GORGEOUS outdoor bathroom [I find outdoor bathrooms to be a bit hit and miss- these were LUXE as], indoor pretty simple but had great linen/good A.C/TV/fridge and mini bar, in-room SUPER reasonably priced [for a hotel] massage; the BEST massage Ive had across >10 trips to indo she was AMAZING Pool/outdoor area with little huts/bean bags CHILL vibe/not pretentious at all [proper definition of luxe IMO] Just get the lobster grill. Enough said. Can surf right out in front, easy waves nothing too heavy before a stellar brekkie and GREAT flat white back at the hotel. Great breakfasts; al a carte.

Cant think of anything specifically to the hotel. PLEASE NOTE- DO NOT GO TO SELONG BELANAK BEACH- we went, and were bitterly dissapointed by the excessive beach rubbist [well beyond usual amount for indo] Hotel - thankfully- is a good 10 mins away and the beach the hotel is on is gorgeous, just not an easy walking beach as 'sinky sand' but stunning no rubbish, no street hawkers/sellers, just heaven and peace.

Beautiful beach resort with perfectly manicured gardens, pool and restaurant. There are many different, cosy opportunities to relax by the pool and on the beach. The food is excellent, the staff very attentive and helpful in every way. The bungalows are a dream; very well maintained, beautifully furnished and stylish with open-plan bathrooms. The location is also great; you can explore the various beaches in the south-west and you can be in Kuta in 45 minutes (which we didn't really like though). And a huge plus: you finally don't hear any mosques because the hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood! We felt very comfortable and would have loved to stay longer. Really everything TOP!!! PS: best Pina Colada ever ;-) Thank you so much for everything, dear Segara team!!!

Everything was perfect!

Segara was a little haven of paradise. Small and intimate with only 10 villas. A beautiful spot right on the beach, gorgeous pool, amazing food and wonderful, friendly & helpful staff. We loved our stay. Yes it’s a little remote but that’s part of the appeal. They include transfers to Selong Belanak and to other local resorts if you want to go somewhere else for a meal. We had 2 dinners at Segara and 4 others at local hotels and all were amazing. We also did an amazing tour to waterfalls and a local village and enjoyed lunch in the home of one of their staff. A truly unique and special experience. We hired scooters from them for 3 days and also hired a car one day to explore further afield. Plus we had amazing massages.

I loved everything.

We spent 9 nights here with our 6 yr old and 2 yr old, and it totally exceeded our expectations. We had great plans of exploring from here, but we were so happy and comfortable at the resort that we left twice only for the whole stay. We were blown away by how beautiful the room and ground were. All the fine details, like the lovely stone walls, built by the French owner. The bougainvillea growing everywhere, the lovely rooms, the gorgeous decor, fresh floating flower arrangements at reception every morning, sea-green matt pool tiles with gold grout, if you like aesthetic touches you will love it here. So many reviews mentioned the coral beach, so we were surprised to find a lovely beach, with sand of a larger grain, more like uncooked quinoa. The beach is fine for swimming if you're used to being in the sea, from about mid tide it's good, and we did laps most days. At low tide our kids spent hours walking over the exposed rocks, looking for critters in pools. The food was excellent and affordable, we ate next door at Boni Beach a few times, but it was so easy and comfortable at Segara with our toddler, that we mostly ate there, and our kids nearly lived on the smoothies. When the break out front was working, there were surfers in the loungers closer to the beach, but they were also paying customers at the restaurant, so on those days we stayed by the pool, which was guest only, and we appreciated that a lot. The staff were so great, one of the highlights of our stay, they really made us feel at home, and were so generous and kind with our kids. We stayed in a superior room with the sofa bed and an extra mattress that we put down at night, which was lovely of course, but on arrival we regretted not upgrading to the beachfront rooms, because while a little smaller inside, the kids could have played on the sand out front, and the balconies are much bigger. If you're not sure, I'd say upgrade! Definitely worth it.

For the price of staying here, it exceeded our expectations.

“Segara Lombok” resort is a lovely accommodation in a secluded and remote location, set in its own beautiful gardens on the shores of the Indian ocean. It consists of only 10 comfortable huts + a restaurant & bar area + a pool deck with loungers. Saman - the man in charge - and his team are dedicated to having all guests enjoy their stay as much as they can. There’s a true feeling of warm hospitality and friendly service! The restaurant & bar both serve a nice menu of meals and drinks - throughout the day from early morning til late evening. The hotel offers complimentary transportation to the neighboring Selong Belanak beach, where you can rent loungers & umbrellas for a beachside day. All in all, I was looking for a quiet and remote hotel with fine service and ambiance… - and “Segara Lombok” just had it all!

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to swim right in front of the resort. You sink in deep into the sand, so that also beach walks are not really possible…- that’s unfortunate and not ideal. But the complimentary transfer to nearby Selong Belanak beach completely made up for that! The quality of the towels could be deeply improved, if they were to use more softener. The menu choices at the restaurant are not so big, so for a guest staying a longer period the choices are not too many and may become a bit boring. But for the majority of guests, who only stay for 3 or 4 nights, there is no issue at all.

Located at a beautiful remote beach, Segara Lombok is really a hidden gem! We spent a couple of days there and had such a great time! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the restaurant serves delicious food. The facilities are clean and very nice. We rented scooters from the resort and went to Selong Belanak, since you can’t swim in the ocean just outside the resort and that beach was absolutely beautiful (as well). We also went in to Kuta on our scooters, but soon realized we wanted to go back to the calmness at Segara Lombok! I really recommend everyone who wants a relaxing and genuine experience to stay at Segara Lombok!

We loved the location - remote, quiet, right on the beach. The staff were friendly and professional. The premises were clean and atmospheric. The food in the restaurant was delicious - above average western fare with a couple local options.

The bathroom is kind of weird (look at the pictures). It's indoors but it's outdoors. It's hard to explain. It was private, but we didn't really like it. We also would have preferred dining to nothing more than the sound of the nearby waves rather than the standard classic pop music playing in the restaurant.

What a gem!! Was beyond surprised by this resort. Have often found that the pictures are far better than the reality, in this case reality was even better than the pictures. I think they have found the perfect balance between size and exclusivity. There are 10 bungalows on this property, which means that there is little to no noise. It’s right on the beachfront and has the most beautiful gardens which allows for privacy and spaciousness. The rooms and external bathrooms are gorgeous, a great deal of detail and care. The staff all around are gentle, kind and respectful, and always meet you with big warm smiles. We came across many couples, but also some small families. If you’re looking for a party space then this is absolutely not it. Everything can be organised by the reception. We rented scooters to explore; they arranged surfing lessons at a nearby beach; we did a snorkelling tour to Pink beach (a bit of a drive to get there); a massage in the room; and more available on request. Their pool and lounging areas are spectacular, everything laid out to maximise the view and the breeze of the sea. There is a restaurant on site and meals are delicious with a good variety of food and drink.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

The best hotel where we stayed in our whole trip. It’s a hidden gem close to Selong Belanak. The hotel is very quiet but you can reach the most beautiful beaches by car or motorcycle. We took a trip to the secret Gili Islands as well, so we could discover the southeastern part of the island, which is a pure pearl. The restaurant of the hotel is just excellent, amazing food with very nice staff. We enjoyed very much our stay and we would like to thank the staff their kindness and to prepare a special dinner for us.
