The location was pretty near perfect for all the main attractions in Florence and these were all easily walkable. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful we've ever experienced. Nothing was too much trouble. From booking taxi's, tickets to museums and recommending restaurants and booking tables. Everything was done with a smile and a minimum of fuss. The room was very large, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The double shower was fantastic, the air con very quiet and the bed was super comfortable. We loved the rooftop area in the evening as well. The continental style breakfast was plentiful and had a good selection.

There was nothing we didn't like.

I love the look and feel of this hotel. Every piece of decor and furniture felt well thought out and everything made the place feel more special. The elevator is small, but quick and the layout of the space feels authentic to a historical building in Florence. The breakfast service was delicious and had plenty of options and the staff was always happy to help us with anything and everything.

I wish there had been water available in the bar area throughout the day, but this didn’t impact our stay much at all.

It is an easy walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella and in a great location to explore all the major sites in Firenze. But at the same time it was very quiet and secluded, making any nearby street noise negligible. Breakfast was excellent and they had a small but varied spread of pastries, cereals, fruits, warm foods, juices, and cold cuts. The front staff were amazing and helped us book two reservations at nearby restaurants easily, one of which they suggested and it turned out to be amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean and we even had a dual rainfall shower in the bathroom, which was probably the best we had experienced in Italy. Highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay. From the lovely room decor, to the professional staff. What a gem of a location. It was located at the center of a designer label shopping neighborhood, with close access to so many lovely historic sites. We found it perfect for all of our walking adventures. The room quiet and restful. The terrace was lovely. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very helpful. From calling taxis, to recommending restaurants, to arranging laundry service, to preparing personal capuccino and coffee each day.

There is nothing we didn’t like about this hotel.

To describe Stella d’Italia as a Bed & Breakfast does it a disservice. It is an exquisite and very special boutique style hotel, with an artistic attention to detail. From artwork, frescos, velvet fabrics, fresh flowers, gentle background jazz, to in-house freshly baked cakes & tarts. In addition to the beautiful surroundings was the lovely staff. I was greeted warmly by each and every one of them, and their interest in making my stay as comfortable as possible, was most appreciated. Stella d’Italia is a perfect combination of being very central in its location to everything you would want to see in Florence, plus a place of gentle calm. Other guests who I spoke with felt the same way. I would highly recommend Stella d’Italia. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely nothing!

We really enjoyed the staff. They were so helpful and gracious The location was excellent! Particularly loved the breakfast in the lively setting. Wonderful bathroom and amenities that woman really need. Like robes and wash cloths. Bath gel and shampoo very nice also. . We will be recommending ither New Yorkers!

The main entrance on the ground floor seemed to need a sense if the hotel. Perhaps a Table with a sign of the hotel name on it. Which says Stella Italia 2nd floor. Also With a vase of flowers to warm up that rather cold foyer Other than that. Very very nice!

The rooms are amazing and give a real feel of luxury with all the fittings. As well as the grandiose bathroom, we even had a standalone bath in our room. Evidently each room has its own character. But best of all were the staff and especially Monica at reception. My wife and I got a bout of food poisoning from a restaurant in town on our last day and couldn't continue our journey on to Rome the following day. Monica went out of her way to help us extend our stay one more night and offered to help us if we needed anything.

Nothing. It was all fantastic

Even better than in the pictures. Effort in the details. It felt like it had a little «grand budapest hotel»-vibe, if you know what I mean. Good breakfast, helpfull and friendly staff. The location was in the very heart of town with short, walkable distance to everything. 10/10

We had some strugle finding the hotel/BnB. The sign outside the entrance was very small and we were confused by the adress-system of the town (red and black numbers).

It is the most amazing feeling to have a creamy cappuccino and deliciously fresh breakfast items surrounded by the original 1800s frescoes of this grand Palazzo. And then to descend the majestical staircase and fall out into THE most stylish and central Florentine avenue, via Tornabuoni, ready for Italian shopping and deeply cultural adventures, to return in order to stargaze from the very cool Roof Loggia covered terrace with views over the Florentine rooftops and hills. And then be cocooned in one of the oh all so different bedrooms, each with its own personality/look/feel. Mine was spacious and all white with a splash of fuchsia armchairs, bathing in the clawfoot bath actually in the bedroom was like being in heaven. There was a power shower in the bathroom, and I loved the 'Si' (Stellad'Italia) - yes - and 'No' (short for Numero) - no - slippers. An Italian stay to remember.

The rooms are all spread out across different levels so it's like a treasure hunt to remember where yours is but it is definitely worth it! This is an eclectic, quirky and wonderfully different place to stay in when visiting Florence.

A frequent traveller like me. It’s a gem to find people who are more than willing to assist you more than there usual day to day task. Tim who has been patient with our requests did all the tours made us feel at home greeted us going and out was just the highlight of all. He’s quirckiness and enthusiasm to guest is just what gives a smile to our face. Diana from the reception did an awesome job especially our check out assisted us towards our car pick up. thank you and we said we will be back and while reading this i am here again another night before i fly out to Paris. Nothing is more worth your money if people make you feel like its not a burden for them to be of service to you. Not just the people I mentioned but also the Manager, The assistance to thr luggage and the housekeeping did a great job too!!
