The Design, the style and decoration, the people are so nice, the restaurant is great too. Charming place and great location

This property is beautiful!! We stayed in the superior suite and it was gorgeous from top to bottom. Very well designed with just enough space. The location was perfect and walkable to many restaurants, places to shop, and sites to see. It’s also only a 6 minute ($10 or less) ride to the Canal Zone and downtown area of Panama City. Additionally, the service was impeccable. Everyone was responsive, attentive and extremely kind. They make it so efficient because you can message the front desk from WhatsApp and receive service asap. The free breakfast was scrumptious and a great blend of traditional Panamanian foods along with American fare. We ate at the restaurant for dinner one evening and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. We never got tired of the breakfast. As for dinner, there are so many place nearby that everyday will feel like a culinary adventure.

Lovely team and charming little hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at Amarla, it was a fantastic weekend break. The breakfast was truly delicious, the specialty coffee is a must try. We enjoyed drinks in the rooftop jacuzzi and dinner at Kaandela.

The WiFi could be better, we had some issues connecting.

We loved EVERYTHING about Amarla Boutique Hotel from checkin to checkout. The property itself is absolutely beautiful with the views on the rooftop to match it. The little touches throughout were an added bonus (checkin cocktails, cool towels). The staff are very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Panamá City.

I only wish I had booked a longer stay!

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Casco viejo. Lovely decoration with local touch. The diner at Kaandela was good with very good service and attention from the staff! The staff was very friendly, provided advice on what to visit and even offered us courtesy late check out!

The only opportunities are the prices for the diner it is quite high compared to other similar restaurants around. The breakfast is limited in terms of options, would be nice to have more variety and fresh local juices.

The hotel is beautifully designed with rich woods , pretty tile work and interesting vistas through glass walls. The rooftop hangout is intimate but nicely appointed with comfortable lounge furniture and plants. The small dining room is nice. The rooms are very small. Like NYC small. The staff is excellent and communicative.

Only 2 things I didn’t love and they aren’t deal breakers- I would stay at the Amarla again. First, I do not like being charged $200 against what i MIGHT buy in incidentals such as waters and beer in the mini fridge - chocolate bars or silk robes or grass slippers. The policy inspired me to buy nothing. Second, the coffee isn’t good. And upon discovering that hoped to switch to black tea. But all they had was lemon grass and ginger. I get the concept of a highly curated boutique experience but black tea shouldn’t be too pedestrian for the Amarla.

My sister and myself had a fabulous time in Casco Viejo district and we loved everything about Amarla Botique. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly and helpful staff who were more than willing to let us know about restaurants recommendations, activities, help arrange taxis and helped us plan our day. BIG thank you to Jorge and Augusto for being awesome host, and Doyle, Jenny, and Luis the waitstaff where the service was impeccable. The breakfast was amazing and included, but you need to have dinner there as well as it was one of our best meals in Panama City. The location is perfect and the vibe/style of the hotel is chic. The rooftop area was also great to view Panama City with a night cap. Thank you Amarla Staff for an exceptional stay, will stay here whenever we come back to Panama City. Cartagena Columbia is on my travel list and Amarla Boutique has a hotel there which I will book given how amazing our stay was here. Thank you!

The hotel is right in the middle of Casco viejo, so very easy to access everything. The staff could not have been friendlier of more attentive, the food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was superb

Beautiful, boutique hotel centrally located in historic district in Panama City. Rooms are comfortable, well laid out and small. Mattresses are comfortable, restaurant is excellent and the hotel feels like a secret garden when you enter. Hotel's woodwork, architecture and decor are wonderful.

We love boutique hotels and this hotel is exactly what we always look for - great attention to detail, wonderful staff and food. If we end up going back to Panama City, we would stay in this hotel again.

The breakfast is a set menu, and the options are great. However, on our last day, half of the menu was not available - which was a huge shame. The kitchen tried to accommodate by making something different from the available options (as we didn't like any) which was kind but it wasn't as good as it normally is.
