good standard sofitel experience upgraded to higher floor with city view was great...pool was nice and all staff very helpful and kind

we tried the breakfast one day out of four and never returned...pastries are very good (you can buy just them and cup of coffee at downstairs coffeehouse) but other than that breakfast was totally mediocre with very limited buffet spread (eggs not included and only for additional cost from a la carte menu...) we expected much better and having experienced breakfast buffets in many other 5star hotels like W, Shangri-La or Renaissance/Marriott we were really disappointed ☹️

We recently stayed at the Sofitel for a long weekend in Mexico City. The was our first time at the Sofitel and it did not disappoint. The customer service and amenities were top tier. Every single employee we encountered was extremely pleasant, helpful and really made the experience amazing. We had a few special requests and the staff/concierge was very accommodating in making all our requests happen and go smoothly for us. The room itself was immaculate, comfortable and our view from our room of the Angel of Independencia was incredible. Even the bath/shower had a beautiful view. We also had a chance to use the indoor pool and we loved it. We didn't have a chance to use the gym but we did look around and it looked great. Don't forget to try the croi-jolota (tamal croissant) from the cafe downstairs, it was fantastic! We had one every morning! The Sofitel's location was perfect for us and very centrally located. We would stay here again in a heart-beat and can't wait to go back.

We did not have breakfast there. The staff, (especially the front desk), was wonderful… Claudia, Christina, Brenda, Katy and more. David was very helpful too.

One day, while walking back to the hotel, we had trouble getting back in because of barricades blocking most entrances. We weren’t informed ahead of time that that was going to take place. We finally found out that a protest was taking place across the street. The one time we ordered food, by way of room service, it was good, but too expensive. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Good location, nice room and good staff.

Upon landing in Mexico we called the concierge and asked to be provided with a car and driver to take us to the hotel. We were a family of 6 and had 3 cases. The car arrived after 20 minutes and took us to the hotel. The driver asked for 3900 Pesos. This is an extremely high price. The cost of Two Uber (Black) would have been 800 Pesos. The hotel charged us almost five times that sum. I protested to the hotel but they (kindly) refused to lower the cost. DO NOT ask the hotel for transportation.

it has modern and comfy design. The restaurant at the 12 floor and the bar at the top are really tasty with good service.

it is very strange the politics of the hotel: I extended my accommodation 3 times and all 3 times staff convinced me that I have to move to other room next morning because other guests will come! But I am a guest also and I occupied this room! I lived at 29 floor and I should move to the 16 floor. Of course the accommodation on 29 floor has more dramatic view to the city and more comfortable. Every morning they told me that I can keep this room. But the convinced me about moving before I packed my luggage. Than I exhausted to do it and lived with packed luggage.

It is Sofitel - so you expect great quality - and you get it. The room was very spacious with very comfortable bed. It was very clean. The staff was outstanding! It is good localization for the stay in CDMX.

Due to the fact that there is US embassy nearby, it sometimes causes problems wirh entering or leaving hotel - you need to take other entry - but it is not a big deal.

There was nothing about our stay with Sofitel that we can possibly think to criticize. The view of the Angel de Independencia from our room was absolutely astounding. The room and amenities were pristine, and the cost was more than fair. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and still can't get over how good it was (I don't know if their menu changes, but get the migas if they have them). The rooftop bar offered incredible views and the best drinks we found in the city. Above all else, Sofitel's customer service was the thing that left the best impression. Every single person we encountered was cordial and willing to help, and everyone seemed so knowledgeable about the city. We asked the concierge for several recommendations and none of them disappointed us in the least. We will be staying with Sofitel again.

You can tell this property is brand new. There was a ton of thought put into the design aspects. It is also very convenient to most attractions you’d go see by Uber. The rooftop pool is a stunner - there are skyline views, it’s actually heated, and there are jets in corners with seating, so it’s a quasi-jacuzzi. All staff were respectful and thoughtful.

The pillows are not supportive, and cleaning doesn’t appear to happen on a consistent schedule, so it’s hard to predict when the room will be taken care of or when I need to leave to make sure it happens. The food was at times excellent and at times mediocre.

Great location and spacious room. Extensive breakfast options and nice views over the city.

Limited coffee choice in the room, not enough cups (only one ristretto cup and one longo cup for two people...). For the price, the hotel also lacked character and is perhaps a better fit for business trips than vacations.

Everything. The small things and big things. -the rooms were exceptional, beds soft, tub luxurious and views amazing. -the heated indoor pool stunning -the onsite restaurants -the warm greetings everywhere you go -if you have club access you must go each day for drinks and snacks -the close attention to detail, design and color in each space is simply divine

Nothing. It was an amazing experience. We will be back.
