The location was lovely! It is right across the street from the waterfront park and the whole downtown area with its shops and restaurants is within easy walking distance. As guests we were able to check out a pass to get into Hunting Island State Park at no cost to us and we were able to enjoy a trip to the beach while at the park. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the lovely lady who prepared and served the food was warm, friendly and gracious! All the staff we encountered were friendly and kind. It is our second time staying at this hotel in the past 2 1/2 years and we thoroughly enjoyed both our stays.

The rooms were lovely and while there was a chair provided in the room it was not the most comfortable. I think something a little bigger/taller so guests could sit and read a book for a while would be nicer. And we wish there had been a night light in the bathroom so when we get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom we wouldn't have to worry so much about turning on the light in the very dark bathroom and disturbing others who are sleeping.

Staff was super nice. From the front desk at check in to check out they were very helpful. I forgot a jacket in the room and housekeeping gave it to the frontdesk and they called me to let me know they had it. Breakfast was Amazing!! She does a great job and everything was fresh and delicious. Eggs were soft and creamy, rosemary potatoes, amazing, bacon cooked perfect, grits delicious. Better than almost any breakfast I've had! Certainly in a long time. Hotel is nicely situated in town; Convenient to everything but it was the staff that made it extraordinary.

the hotel needs to make its filtered water dispenser available to guests 24/7. The policy now - requiring them to purchase poor quality plastic water bottles for 1.50 each beyond those in the rooms - is environmentally disastrous, not healthy, and doesn't make sense when they have a water machine already there in the breakfast room. Making guests' key card work 24/7 to access the breakfast room would work, or else install a second water dispenser in the reception area.

The room was modern, updated; comfortable. breakfast was exquisite and the staff were knowledgeable, helpful and overall delightful. The location is great because you can access the amenities and fun at the marina, but also have historic places within walking distance. Also the treats they keep at the office, are homemade by the staff in the kitchen, so equally scrumptious as what is offered at breakfast. And they have a workout room, and a small pool that does the trick for sticky summer nights.

There is definitely a distinctive taste to the water so if you are sensitive to that sort of thing, I would recommend getting bottled water for toothbrushing or drinking. ..washing/showering is fine.

The only thing that I would like is because housekeeping reported to the lobby person that we supposed to use a hot pot inside of the room and that makes me feel bad because I just bought it and I just forget to put it back in the box and that’s it and the other thing was that I find a spider under the sheets and no one expects to find a spider in the beds

The hotel was very cute and in a nice neighborhood and the walk to downtown took less than five minutes. The room was nice and clean. The pool was also super clean and nice and we were the only ones using it. The lobby of the hotel had free coffee and cookies and they offered free passes to the beach. Parking was also easy and near the room. Location, cleanliness and a nice pool are my top concerns and this place did excellent on all three.

Breakfast was really good! Delicious home-made pumpkin bread, in addition to a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, grits fruit, etc. Room was spotless and recently renovated. Perfect location, convenient to everything, right on the water, but quiet and restful.

It seemed a bit expensive, but that is probably because we were there on a peak weekend. Price seemed consistent with a somewhat more luxury and full-service (with restaurant and bar) hotel. But, given the location, friendly service, nice breakfast, it was worth it.

Location is great, within walking distance of the waterfront park, restaurants, stores and the Beaufort historic homes. There's free parking and breakfast, which was surprisingly tasty and assorted. We didn't swim in the outdoor pool since it was too cold, but it looked nice and it was open even in February.

The room was nice although there were 2 flights of stairs and no elevator - not so convenient with kids, strollers and luggage but not a deal breaker.

What a quaint and quiet inn in a great location by the water and downtown Beaufort. The free breakfast each morning was the best we have had at any hotel ever! Bobbie, who works in the dining area was a delight! She made us feel welcomed, told us the best places to visit and by the end of our stay we had a new friend! Unlike other hotels these days our room was cleaned, beds made up and towels refreshed every day.

The toilet was extremely loud when flushing.

Loved the location and the staff! We booked for one night and ended up staying for four! Bobbie, the chef, grew up in Beaufort and shared so much about history and where to go! My daughter and I had a vacation of a lifetime because of her! The staff in the front office were so awesome! We just love this hotel and would definitely use it again!

It was a little confusing to find the entrance. After we found it, no problem!
