Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. It is on a busy road, but easy to walk all over town. The hotel has a small pool, but I did not use it. The included breakfast is the same each day, except one day over easy eggs, next scrambled. It was ok, but nothing to write home about, but not bad. The air conditioning worked great and the grounds were much cooler (and beautiful) than outside.

I am a pillow snob, and the pillows were just a bunch of pieces of foam. The hotel is on a busy road so it can be a bit noisy at night even with all the windows/doors closed.

At first, the entrance door in the street can be creepy but when you enter in this hotel you can't imagine there is a such beautiful place in the town center. The breakfast was perfect

Jesus is fabulous. Ask him anything and you will get the information/support you require. His information made our time in Valladolid very handsome. His recommendations for local specialities (restaurants, food stalls, museums in and around the city). We liked the comfort of our room very much, including the great refreshment in the pool after a day packed of visits. Breakfast is very good but you have to like it to eat with the other guests at a long table (we do) and to have no choice (it was always good). Everything is in walking distance (if you accept distances up to 15-20 minutes - we do).

Refugio 41 is retreat in Valladolid although it doesn't look like, being at a main street (rooms are far at the back of the grounds) but unfortunately the animals in the neighbourhood can be annoying and loud (especially in the morning time). That's the (only) reason why it's not 10/10.

Beautiful property, a small green oasis in Valladolid. The staff, including Victor and Jesus were extremely nice, warm, and helpful. We loved our room, it was just so beautifully decorated and homely. The location is also decent, a 10-15 minute walk to the center of Valladolid which is amazing. Jesus gave us lots of useful information on the city and for other visits (cenotes, chicken itza). The breakfast was outstanding: nothing special, but simply beautifully homemade food (scrambled eggs, refried beans, toast, coffee, green juice). Also liked the pool although we didn’t use it.

We had a big tub in the room, but couldn’t make use of it because of very limited hot water. Basically it stayed on for 2-3 minutes and then it was only cold water. The location is on a Main Street - it wasn’t loud for us but it’s a busy road and some traffic passed by. There was a small window in the ceiling above the bed which let some light in the morning. Except the first point, all these issues are minor.

Just like everybody else, Jesus was very attentive to us too. The room was just amazing and complete for our needs. Its refreshed everyday with towels and sheets. We didn't get to use the pool but the hammocks were quite a nice touch after a full day of activities! Wifi was great and area was extremely quiet! Calle 41 is like a main road to everything so its good if you're renting a scooter to cenotes.

Toilet flush on our room was tricky and unable to refill properly after using. Maybe it was just on our unit. Other than that, everything was just perfect!

The design of the hotel is outstanding and exceptional. The rooms are extremely spacious. The staff is very very kind and supportive. I liked it so much that I kept taking pictures.

The stray dogs barking in front of the hotel made it a bit difficult to sleep in the morning without earplugs but it’s not the hotels fault. My suggestion is to add a second pillow for each guest, add anti mosquitos products and exchange bed sheets with cotton ones for increasing transpiration as Valladolid is quite hot.

Great location and easy to find. Room had plenty of space. Jesus gave us recommendations of local restaurants and things to see upon arrival, and gave us a map with all the information. He was incredibly helpful and friendly! Breakfast was toast with granola and fruit, very tasty and fresh. Due to sudden sickness, we had to stay an extra night. Jesus helped accommodate us last minute and he made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and safe. Very thankful to have had him!

The shower did not have hot water, but Jesus helped us within 20 minutes so the issue was resolved.

Everything about our stay here was fantastic. We received a very warm welcome at check in and some great local recommendation. The room was huge with a lovely bathroom and a relaxing patio. The pool area was tranquil and an ideal place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was simple but delicious.

The only improvement would be if you could purchase drinks to have on the patio/around the pool (I might have missed this though!)

Breakfast was great and at a lovely shared table in the courtyard. The bed was super comfortable, the private outdoor porch/lounge area was so relaxing. Very close to walk to to great restaurants and tourist areas. Staff was all lovely and helpful. No car or street noise.

Bedside lights would be helpful. Our room was a little dark. I didn't mind, but there are definitely roosters and dogs making noise in the yards next door.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The room was lovely designed, with own hammock on the balcony! The A/C was working fine. And there are cute animals on the property. Generally it's really amazing that the whole property is so relaxed and rather quiet, given that there is a busy road and a City Center just outside the front door! The breakfast was one of the best we had during our trip, plenty of food freshly made when you come to the table in the morning. I want to emphasize the nice owner of the hotel. He was very welcoming and tries to help with every issue immediately. He also knows the area really well and was giving us valuable tips for activities we planned to do. Also a late Check-in was fine since we had difficulties on our route.

Really the only thing I could criticize is that there was no warm water in the shower.
