We had a short stay of 3 nights. We had one bed apartment, big enough for a couple, AC in working order, extra clean set of towels delivered the next morning. Positives: Location, very close to Petrona towers, 5 mins walk. Gives you a chance to walk at late eve or early morning to view take some pics and avoid the crowd. Also walking distance to shopping area Pavillion and local food street market, about 20-30 mins. At peak hours traffic is really bad so worth taking a walk. The swimming pools and bars are a big plus. One on the rooftop on 69 floor and 6 floor. Worth nothing we went during Ramadan month so it was fairly quiet, we got to enjoy the pool every night, open 7-10pm daily, not crowded.

Remember this is not a hotel but apartments tower, so make sure you WhatsApp well in advance the local contact to confirm your booking and total fee to pay, you will have to pay in cash. Same applies before you check out. We did this and local contact was at reception at agreed times to check in/out. Worth mentioning there are two apartment towers, so confirm with your local contact on which tower you are staying 1 or 2, so you can tell your taxi or transport which tower to drop you off, as there are two separate receptions.

Location and Food, support form Shafiqul was amazing, he helped with early check in and guide us in every step. With his support our stay was smooth and enjoyable. We will go back again and recommend others.

Everything was awesome. No complaints.

The property manager was constantly in touch and helped me to answer all my questions. He explained all rules and how to access the facilities. I especially enjoyed the view of the Petronas Towers. I had a room in tower 1, but I guess tower 2 room has a better view so I suggest choosing tower 2 if there is a chance.

Everything was good, but I think it was not clear that Tower 1 and Tower 2 apartments exist. I think Tower 2 has a better view and I missed the chance to make my choice there.

Location, facilities and good value for money overall.

Check out process was ridiculous, the property manager did not wake up to check us out and kept the cash deposit, refusing to make an international bank transfer to send us the money back. Thankfully we had to go back to KL a week later and managed to get the money back, but the entire process and behaviour of the property manager was unacceptably unprofessional.

Great location, only a few minutes walk from the Petronas Twin Towers. Lovely pools and rooftop bar. 24/7 security. Great amenities. We dealt with Shafiqul who was very helpful in arranging our check in, touching base to make sure we were getting on okay, and also storing our bags after check in.

We were only given one pass to use access our room and amenities, which at times was a challenge. Cash only so need to make sure you have the correct amount in MYR before visit. You have to contact the property manager via WhatsApp in order to check in, which might be challenging if you have delays / land late in the evening and do not immediately have a wifi signal.

Views from the hotel were stunning. Only 5 mins to KLCC. Facilities such as the gym, pool were well maintained. Apartment was spacious and well furnished. Complimentary Parking is available on request. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The water pressure was a little weak especially in the master bedroom en suite shower.

The room which we were allotted was very spacious. It had all the basic amenities like plates, cutlery, washer cum dryer, oven, hob etc. However, the view from our apartment was fabulous! We were awestruck to see the Twin Towers, KL Tower and Merdeka 118 from a single window!

I am not even sure what to say with regards to it, almost everything was very good about Star Residences. However, they had two towers and hence two lobbies due to which if we ended up in the wrong lobby, there is no direct connection to the other lobby. However, this is not much of an inconvenience and can be neglected. It would have been better if we had an in house complimentary breakfast.

The view and facilities available are unmatched, the location is perfect for anyone seeking the city buzz. Having access to the rooftop was the highlight of the stay here, being able to use the pool, bar and restaurant are all amazing and very top quality.

The check in experience could be helped with better sign posting to the correct tower lobby as locating the correct building for the residence was a challenge. There should also have a pre warning that paying in person means in cash, the whole experience of paying such a large amount in cash was very inconvenient, first of all not having enough and having to use an ATM a little walk away was annoying and then getting charged around £30 extra in conversion or transaction fees leaves a slight bitter feel about the stay.

Close to a lot of places to eat and visit.

Just a few minor items to fix: 1. Bathroom door needs adjustment. Keeps banging on the glass wall. 2. Toilet is loose. Rocks back and forth. 3. Shower walls needs better scrubbing 4. Remove cobwebs in the front room 5. Missing piloow covers on throw pillows in living room. 6. Provide pool towels and small face towels. 7. Kitchen hanging lights don’t work. 8. Bedroom hanging light don’t work. 9. Provide coffee, creamer and sugar would be a nice welcome gesture. I rate 1-39-09 4 out of 5 stars.

The host was very responsive. Provided the assistance required. It is better to highlight the specific residency tower as there are many. Our booking was at the Star Residencies Tower Two and we dropped off at Star Residencies but in a different lobby. We contacted the host and he arranged a person and he came in person to assist to get to the correct tower. Excellent location! only 5-10 minutes walk to get to KLCC/Petronas Towers. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Overall experience is really good.

By clearly highlighting and specifying the respective tower would help to identify the exact drop off point. Better to get it sorted with the host before you get there.
