The common areas are great with couches, tables and TVs. You can also get cheap drinks at the hostel. We never once waited to use the showers or toilets and the bathrooms were very clean. The breakfast was really good but it was the same for every day so if you stay for longer you'll probably grow tired of it at some point like we did. - beautiful and spacious building with nice seating areas, everything is really clean - really friendly staff :) - location is great, close to the city center and the beautiful botanical garden António Borges - the breakfast was great for a "hostel breakfast" (it would just be nice to also have some plant based milk) - price was great for what I've got (me as a female who prefers to sleep in female dorms also really appreciated that the female dorm was the same price as the mixed dorm)

The room was nice and clean, considering it's a hostel even the bathrooms were okay. Great opportunity to meet other travellers. Some nights were tough since there is always someone snoring, but that is expected in a room with 12 people. The location is great, very close to the center and to bus stops if you plan to travel around the island by bus. Friendly staff, we could leave our bags in a locked room before the check-in time.

We spent 2 nights there, our first hostel experience. It was much better than expected. Clean rooms, clean toilets, shower cabins too. Breakfast was included, student dorm kind of it, but good value for the money. Kind reception. Great drink/snack prices and a nice garden. You have to buy a locker key (5e) or use yours. The hostel was clean and beds were comfortable. Although it was a bunk bed, they were very stable especially on the second floor. There was included breakfast in the price despite the fact that there was not variety and was same every single morning.

There was problem with the Wifi during whole our stay (I was there for 5 nights). Also, they didn't solve it, so there was not internet connection. Also, they asked for deposit (authorization upon check in). Moreover, the lockers couldn't lock without having padlock but we didn't have any problems about that.

Very clean. 24 hour reception. Snacks and drinks available. The breakfast was simple but very sufficient. Nice common lounge area. About 10 minute walk from the main downtown area, but next to a beautiful botanical garden, open to public. The hostel also has a nice garden where one can sit outside.

No complaints. If you want to lock your valuables, remember to bring a small padlock for the lockers, but I felt pretty safe.

The bathroom was outside of the room which isn't very comfortable. There's not even a mirror or a small sink in the room. It can get very loud because very big groups of youngsters come and go and scream in the common areas, even in the evening. Breakfast is not very good, just very basic so you'll be better off if you just go to a bakery and grab something that you like. No fridge for the guests to put your stuff or to cook your own food. Breakfast area gets locked after breakfast.

I loved the location and the building itself. Also it was comfortable to stay in a 4-beds room, it was quiet enough to have a good sleep.

I didn’t like wet floors in the bathroom. There was no towels on the floor (or anything else) to prevent it from getting wet everywhere. Also the breakfast could have been better — it’s not healthy in my opinion.

Breakfast was included in the price which was great. Our room was a private twin and very comfortable. Hostel wasn’t too noisy but was quite busy. Very close to centre of town We met some lovely people staying at the hostel

Toilets could have been cleaned more regularly. They got dirty quickly due to the amount of people using them
