the room was spotless. Especially the bathroom absolutely no trace of mildew. I really liked that there was a reclining chair in the room with back support that is the 1st time i have had that in a hotel room and being a person with spinal cord damage a comfy chair is huge to me. The bed was a little firm for me but i am one to sleep on memory foam and heat pads so the firmness could of just been me. My daughter slept great. She is normally an early risers like 730 am and i woke her up at 930am. The front desk staff was very cheerful, was not super nosey asking 100 questions, she was awesome. We will be returning, we have 3 trips planned for the spring and early summer and this will be our govto hotel!

It was really clean. And the bathroom was in good repair. Service staff were exceptional. Great location as well.

Two things. The first one was my fault. I didn't tell the lady at check-in that stairs were very difficult for me because of my knee. So, going up and down, I had to be careful. However, I didn't volunteer the fact that I had issues with stairs. I didn't want to be a pain. I'm sure she would have put us downstairs if we had asked. The second was as soon as we checked in, I went to check out the bathroom in our room, and there was a piece of used toilet paper on the floor in front of the toilet. I took a photo and went downstairs and showed it to the gentleman at the desk, and he was SO nice about it. So he gave us a smoking good deal on our room for the night. We will definitely stay there again.

The lady that works the front desk has great customer service. I forget her name now. But she was clearly the only one working there apart from house keepers. When I checked in, the sign said, "Be right back" and she was very apologetic but she had to help one of the guests in one of the rooms. My husband and I stayed with our 3 yr old daughter and 2 dogs and she offered us the family suite for no extra charge. There was a separate bedroom and this was amazing for us! We all got a good night sleep. Thank you!

When I made the reservation weeks ago, I forgot to mention that my friend has mobility issues. Upon check-in, I learned we were booked for a second floor room. The lovely woman at reception (Terry? Gerry?) immediately shuffled some other reservations to get us on the ground floor. It made a huge difference to our weekend. Thank you!

Nothing important. Maybe darker curtains in the back bedroom to limit morning sunlight.

I knew I was booking a budget hotel and their pool/hot tub was closed and the restaurant was not open during the days of the week that I stayed there. So none of that was a surprise. But the room I did book was not what I thought I was booking. I realized I had made a mistake. I talked to reception and I was able to switch rooms to the one I originally wanted - the 2 bedroom suite - and it suited our family perfectly. The staff were super accommodating even after we had already tried to get comfortable in our first room. It is hard to take a family of teens and their friends on a trip as accommodations are expensive to fit everyone and this hotel fit the budget. No frills but that is ok. I highly recommend the 2 bedroom suite.

Very nice linens…towels and sheets

Internet did not work but the evening lady came and helped, it was not plugged in. There was no coffee when we arrived. The second day there was no coffee, no face cloth and no hand towel and no bag for the ice bucket… The maids really need to do a better job. The bed was not made well, sheets just kind of pulled up… I had a difficult time plugging in Coffee pot and microwave, there was a power var but the cords on these items were very short, they need a separate extension cord for that…

Good location, easy walk to downtown Courtenay and to two large grocery stores. Very large room with table and two chairs. Bed and bath linens were very white and clean. Mini fridge has a small freezer section. Microwave in room. Efficient and quiet air conditioner. Coin operated washer and dryer on premises. Vinyl plank flooring instead of carpet which is a great idea. Good cable TV selection.

Not a major issue and certainly not unique to this hotel, but at times you are in a room with hard floors and spill water or a drink and get a wad of tissue to wipe it up and the tissue comes up dirty. That happened here. Probably happens even if mopped during cleaning though, for a floor like that it would need to be scrubbed and I get it that the housekeeper isn't going to do that every time. Whether carpet or hard floors, my practice is to wear slides at all times anyway. Also I would advise asking for a top floor room since the floors are hard and you will hear the occupants above walking around or rolling luggage. Not a real big deal unless they stay up late or get up early. Otherwise no complaints and I would stay again.

Everything was amazing. Having a big dog, it is hard to find accommodations let alone an old dog with him having hip dysplasia and this place exceeded any and all expectations. Unreal customer service. The smoking area is a friendly place to meet new people and get a good insight of places people may want to visit as a tourist. 10/10 recommend this motel.

Nothing. I wouldn't change a thing about my stay. It was exceptional.

Location is super central to everything you need in and around Comox! Clean, simple rooms with the essentials, great place for one-night stays.

The room isn’t very soundproof - we could clearly hear our neighbours upstairs when they got home around midnight. Bed is very firm, will bring my own pillow next time.

We really liked the location of our room, off to the side of main complex and that the bedroom window & bathroom window offered a cross breeze. Loved the King size bed, clean crisp sheets, and also the clean towels each day. Appreciated the air conditioner and mini fridge!

Would have loved to have had a kettle!
