This is a gem, the rooms were comfy and nicely set out. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was outstanding, we also had a breakfast the next morning ( only served Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff could not have done more for us on a very busy Saturday night, so friendly and accommodating. The bar is beautifully decorated and cozy. It was a really lovely stay if, unfortunately, for only one night, I would definitely stay again. What ever you 5 are doing... keep doing it !!! Amazing.

The pub and restaurant were very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Wide choice of drinks and food. The food was excellent. Staff were all lovely and very attentive. It is a lovely pub and we wish you well with your venture. We will certainly return next time we are in Bicester.
Unfortunately the bed in room 2 was very soft and uncomfortable. We appreciate the owners are relatively new so I am sure it is on their to do list. The bathroom was exceptionally small but probably not a lot that can be done about that! There was a constant light in the room I guess from a smoke alarm and that did wake us in the night. Perhaps that can be moved closer to the window?

Comfortable bed, plenty of storage. The fridge was very welcome as our stay was during very warm weather. Small but adequate bathroom. Staff always pleasant & helpful. Good parking available. The restaurant is very good. Our evening meal was excellent. The building is old & characterful consequently the stairs are narrow & winding. Also the window in our room was small & the wooden wall paneling meant the room was dark. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the town centre & 15 minute walk to the retail village.
Inadequate sockets. When we booked we were not aware that breakfast boxes are supplied Monday to Thursday, whilst full breakfast is served Friday to Sunday. The cooked to order breakfast available on the second day of our stay was very good.

The hospitality was excellent, I asked in advance about parking and early entrance to room, the lady on phone was polite and obliging. The atmosphere in the pub was lively and friendly. The room was small and the bathroom was particularly small but so am I so that was all good. The pub is an old building, quirky but very homely and all facilities were clean and perfectly adequate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to rebook. Oh, and the breakfast was excellent too!

perfect cute continental brekki all wrapped in perfect presentation gift box. quality brekki items also. when we arrived , we were very early, we had arrived for a local wedding, staff allowed us to use the facilities in the pub to get ready and ensured our room was ready ASAP, all whilst keeping us refreshed with drinks and comfortable with chat and friendliness. Also provided local knowledge with taxis etc. pub is gorgeous rooms were comfy and it's nice staying in an old pub with character. pub quiet overnight too. easy access out of hours. we loved our stay, I was very happy.
we enjoyed it all

Friendly pub with great accommodation. Very welcoming atmosphere and the room was perfect, décor really suited the building, creaky floorboards and all. There was thought put into every detail; tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room, biscuits too. Hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, even moisturiser. There was a fan as well as an extra heater. Open mic night on Thursday and busy Friday but we couldn’t hear a thing from our room. Restaurant menu was varied enough without being huge like most pub chains, definitely quality over quantity. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area, Millie’s recommendation saved us a fortune in parking fees on our day out in Oxford. Would definitely recommend.
Having to leave.

I thought the location was great parking a bonus room very comfortable especially after the first night being cold but that was sorted continental breakfast served to the room because of early start apart the last night where it wasn't delivered?? I had meal on the last night which was superb will stay again
Only one thing that let the bar down. Was a member of staff drinking quite a lot for someone on duty also not washing her hands after having a cigarette but everything grand

If you are visiting Bicester and want the 'family' feel & welcome, then The Plough will meet all your expectations. Property is owned by a group of friends, who make you feed valved, listen to your feedback and make you feed like they appreciate you visiting them! Close to the Village Outlet & both Bicester train stations. Restaurant food is first class, highly recommend, nothing is too much trouble.
No complaints/issues at all, really enjoyed our time time in Bicester

The plough We used this pub as an overnight stay over traveling back from Norfolk to Devon It turned out to be a good choice with very friendly and helpful staff Top tip - they don’t do food on a Monday or Tuesday evening at the moment ( it was very quiet!!) We were directed to the town centre but one look at google highlighted a number of good places to walk or drive to. On this occasion not wanting to drive we walked into Town to the Torino Lounge which is a good standard chain and a very relaxing vibe where we eat well and shared a bottle of wine Back to the Plough though it’s got a great vibe inside it’s well maintained and has a smart and comfortable retro vibe with some sofa space to relax in creating a great atmosphere. It’s got some great outside space and feels like a proper local and a safe space. The pub is dog friendly but let them know when booking as there is a surcharge. Our room was on the top floor and was again clean comfortable and well appointed including some comfy chairs. It had a great shower and plenty of space for us and Mutley our dog The bed was very comfy and the room had a fridge, kettle tea and coffee. In the bathroom there some toiletries were on offer alongside a massive supply of towels!! Breakfast was excellent and the full English included a proper herby sausage, black pudding and a well cooked mushroom alongside bacon eggs hash brown toast and a tomato - all lovely 😋 A nice touch was fresh orange juice - oh and a good variety of breakfast on offer with pancakes and options on toast Mutley also enjoyed his stay and liked his breakfast sausage given to him in a bowl 👍😁 Throughout our short stay all the staff we met where friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome👍 A great pub to visit if you are in the area and to stay if you need an overnighted or longer

The rooms are above a cosy & quaint pub. Rooms are rustic and suit the location. The bar/room staff were very down to earth and friendly. Hot drink facilities were good. Mini fridge in the room. Good water pressure in the shower. We were in a room in the top floor upstairs and couldn’t hear the people in the pub at all.
They didn’t have an iron on site, so I couldn’t wear the outfit I had bought with me. I had to rewear part of the previous days outfit which wasn’t ideal. The Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room, so I had to sign in with my personal hotspot to use the Netflix account.
