The area is very convenient. It is very close to the Mall of Emirates just 5 minutes walk. There you can take the metro. You can also get a taxi from the hotel, there is always someone waiting outside. The staff is very polite and helpful. The breakfast has many options to choose, they even make you omelets as you want them. They clean the room every day and bring complimentary water. Rooms are large and comfortable. The complimentary shower gels and lotions are the best I have used in a hotel of this category. The bar is nice and serves alcohol. There is also a small convenient store inside the hotel. For the price we paid for our stay it was very very good!!

The bathroom needs some renovation and better cleaning. The ventilation in the bathroom wasn't working and no window could be opened in the room for some fresh air. Also they only put towels (for the body) and nothing for the hands or face. We didn't ask because I always bring my own. The lighting in the room is not bright. As I have read in other reviews, there is loud music and noise until late. Breakfast can be improved like better quality in juices and pastry. Instead of all these we had a nice time and I would consider staying again in this hotel when I return to Dubai.!

Very comfortable, excellent staff and well located for exploring

Our only gripe was the excursion team in the lobby whose sole purpose was to extract as much money from tourists as they could. We bought a skydive off them, agreed and paid for the more expensive one over the palm and they booked us in for a cheaper desert jump and kept the difference. They lied and tricked us all the way through, took our money and messed up the booking so we couldn’t even do that jump. They didnt respond to calls from the jump team and took three hours at the jump site to get them to fill in the form properly to allow us to do. Management of the hotel said they were independent despite the fact they were in their lobby. Bunch of charletons - message is if you want to do any excursions, do it direct online with the company and not with these incompetent crooks

Showers need attention

The service provided by all the hotel staff was impeccable. They were all very attentive. The location is good, 800m from the Emirates Mall and the Metro. The breakfast is good.

The shuttle service to the Emirates Mall and the Public Beach needs to be improved, as only one van with 10 seats cannot accommodate all the hotel guests, meaning that people have to wait at the hotel entrance until the van returns. The van only returns at 1:00 pm, and there could also be a return service in the late afternoon for those who want to spend more time at the beach.

It was a nice stop off near the Mall of the Emirates and much better pricing than the newer part of Dubai where we stopped two weeks prior. Great place to pick up reasonably priced souvenirs without the stressful haggling at some of the markets.

Flying in to Dubai saw us land at a very early time. We were told we had to wait for check in time but when I later went to the desk the room was ready and the other person let us in slightly earlier. I think it would be nice if they took our details and let us know when it was ready as the flights in are difficult to manage. No real complaints though, just a point of something I noticed.

The staff made our stay very comfortable. Mr. Halim from housekeeping and Mr. Akmal from reception met all our needs with a smile on their faces. They made us feel welcomed and we appreciated that greatly. The hotel is surrounded by many good restaurants and the mall of Emirates is within walking distance as well as the metro station. Overall pleasant experience staying there.

Breakfast was very good, but it could have been more diversified, and the sliding wardrobe doors in our room ware stuck together ruining the overall good experience.

This was an unplanned stay (the hotel I originally booked cancelled my reservation, Booking.com did not notify me about a payment issue on time!); surprisingly very spacious room, good air conditioning, kettle with complimentary coffee and tea, complimentary mineral water, friendly staff, good selection of food at breakfast, restaurant, mini-mart in hotel

Location not near any metro station; water flowed from both fixed and mobile shower simultaneously (wasting water); noise (music) from ground floor pubs could be heard up until the 4th floor

Overall, my stay at the Grand Excelsior Hotel has been one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The combination of spacious rooms and outstanding service makes this hotel a top choice. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Al Barsha, and I'm already looking forward to my next stay here.

Keep up the good work; so far, there's nothing significant to improve. I love the Christmas tree and the decorations. I haven't had the chance to visit the Lounge yet, but I'm pretty sure it's as exceptional as the rest of the hotel.

During my stay from, I was thoroughly impressed with the Grand Excelsior Hotel Al Barsha. The aspect that stood out the most was the spaciousness of the room and the bathroom. It was not just large, but also well-equipped with everything one could need. The comfort of the bed deserves a special mention - it was incredibly cozy, ensuring a restful sleep every night. The daily housekeeping service was impeccable, maintaining the room in pristine condition. Additionally, the hotel boasts a Pub on the ground floor, which became my favorite weekend spot. Enjoying a beer during the happy hour before 08:00 p.m. was always a treat. The breakfast buffet was another highlight of my stay. It truly lived up to the hotel's motto of "enjoying Arab hospitality". From the front desk to the bar and restaurant service, the staff consistently made me feel welcomed and valued. Their attention to detail and genuine care enhanced the overall experience.

The one aspect that I found slightly uncomfortable was the height of the desk in the room. It was a bit too high for my preference, making it somewhat challenging to work comfortably. This was a small issue in an otherwise exceptional stay.

It was a good stay, nice, welcoming and helpful staff. On-sight parking and a quiet area there are many restaurants, SPAs, grocery shops, and malls nearby.

Even though I didn't explore all the facilities, I found two of them were closed. Also, the amenities, there was no comb and no toothbrush in the bathroom as well as no hair dryer. Last, I would recommend putting a guidebook in rooms that mentioned all the available facilities, their timings, and the extension number.
