The assistant manager Vee met us on arrival she was extremely efficient, very friendly and showed us to our room. After settling in we came down to the bar and had a welcoming drink in the very pleasant garden. Our room was at the back so it was quiet, the breakfast was freshly cooked and great. The inn has a large car park just up the road and off-street parking opposite.

When we first drew up we had reservations about the exterior appearance and we even wondered if it was still open. Once inside all was well. The owner explained they would be improving the outside when funds permitted.

Welcoming staff. Comfy bed and clean room. Enjoyed an evening meal at the bar and very good breakfast the next day. Plenty of parking. The cost of bed and breakfast was good value.

It's looking a bit tired but in these challenging times I can imagine the budget for updating just isn't there. With business's going under every week I think The Inn on the Green is a local gem and wish the team well.

The room overlooked the road and the green opposite giving the room a bright feel. Breakfast of scrambled egg was lovely as was the welcome and service in the pub itself.

The room, although comfortable for a one night stay after a day spent walking, is probably in need of some TLC.

Staff were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food was lovely and Julie couldn't do enough for us - as vegans, we don't always find a lot of variety but that wasn't the case. We had choice and all of it (breakfast and dinners) delicious. Friendly, comfy and very relaxed, all that was needed. Thank you. We'll definitely recommend and we'll be back.

Julie (mine hostess) extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfasts first class. Easy access for guests arriving back late at night. Good bathroom and good hot water. Everything, bedding, etc. very clean. Lovely garden.

Creaky floors. Not really something that can be remedied, but felt guilty moving around in case disturbing other guests.

The lovely old building, full of character, the great food and catering. The traditional pub with proper cask beer and ale. The wonderful staff especially Julie and Ali

Nice location across from the village green. Very traditional inside with nice cosy seating in the older part of the building and light & airy in the modern conservatory. Also a nice beer garden. The bar served a good selection of beers etc and the food was brilliant, all fresh and home cooked with quality ingredients. Our room overlooking the garden was comfortable, clean and spacious with a nice ensuite. After a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast we left happy

Nice pleasant place to stay. The lady who looked after the hotel was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good. Overall, considering we stayed for one night, I would definitely recommend it.

I wouldn't exactly say dislike, but it's a little dated.

We liked the creaky floorboards, noisy plumbing and other quirks that come with staying in a sixteenth century building. We enjoyed the excellent food and beer that you would expect from a freehouse inn. The views were great and it's but a shortish walk to Leith Hill. The prices were more than reasonable; great value all round. But we especially appreciated the atmosphere of friendliness that defines the whole establishment.

The bathrooms, although spotlessly clean and totally functional, could do with updating.

It was a twin room, clean , lovely and warm when we arrived ,the beds were very comfortable , It was quiet at night our room was at the back of the building ,The location was very convenient for us . Staff welcoming and very helpful .Breakfast was good ,boxes of cereal, orange juice and a cooked breakfast . A packed sandwich was provided for us from the chef as we had to leave before breakfast on our final day . Lovely garden with outdoor seating .
