I recently had the pleasure of staying at Staybridge Suites Newcastle, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the sleek, modern design of the property. Staying in one of their apartments was an absolute treat, offering a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and luxury. The apartment itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully furnished. The open-plan living area was perfect for both relaxation and work, with a large flat-screen TV, comfortable seating, and plenty of natural light pouring in through the windows. The kitchenette was a real highlight, equipped with everything needed for cooking a full meal—stove, microwave, fridge, and even a dishwasher. It felt like a home away from home. The bedroom was equally impressive, featuring a super-comfortable bed with high-quality linens, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The bathroom was sleek and modern, stocked with premium toiletries, and included a spacious walk-in shower. One of the standout features of Staybridge Suites is the range of thoughtful amenities. The complimentary breakfast each morning was a real treat, with a selection of hot and cold options, ensuring you start your day off right. Additionally, the hotel’s “Social Hour” is a fantastic touch—a chance to unwind with light snacks and drinks in a relaxed, communal space. The location couldn’t be better. Staybridge Suites is centrally located, within walking distance of Newcastle’s main attractions, including the Quayside, the Sage Gateshead, and the iconic Tyne Bridge. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the location is ideal for exploring all that this vibrant city has to offer. What truly sets Staybridge Suites apart, though, is the exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible.

Very dog friendly place. Greeted with dog bowls and treats. The room was lovely and breakfast had a good variety with changes to hot breakfast each time. The property had a cute pantry to purchase wine, beer and treats which is needed as it’s a bit far from anything too local. Room was very roomy and bathroom was great.

Our dogs are reactive to noises and our room was at an entry point so every time someone came and went the door swung and our dogs barked no matter the time. So if I would go again I’d seek a room at the end of the corridor away from entry points. The bed was comfortable but we are used to a larger bed so found it a bit on the small side for us.

Friendly helpful staff who were very welcoming. Suite was lovely and looked over towards river. Nice firm bed which is what we like. It's good to have a kitchen facility too although we only used hob once. We last stayed here 10 years ago and should we return to Newcastle we would stay here again especially as it has secure parking which is what we look for when travelling. Breakfast was good and despite me being lactose intolerant the staff took this into consideration so I had plenty of choice. Hotel is a good 20-30 minute walk from city centre and as someone else said you need to go under the road through an underpass; wouldn't like to do this late at night. We walked the 1st day we were there but because we both suffer from arthritis we took taxis the next 2 days costing around £6 or £7. Quayside is only a 10 min walk away.

Instructions on how to work the microwave would be beneficial. Also instructions about the lighting system as we couldn't phantom out how to switch off 1 or 2 lights without switching them all off!

The room was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed fot our break way. The room had modern decor and everything was well maintained. The breakfast was fabulous and the quality was very good. The location was good. If mobility is not an issue, then it's a 20 minute walk to the city centre. However, a taxi ride was not too expensive from the hotel to the city. Very close for the Quayside, with access to good restaurants and bars.

I am a bit particular about my morning coffee, and this was okay once I added an extra shot. My husband was not impressed with the decaf offering, and there was no decaf tea on offer.

The rooms were well laid out, clean and spacious. Very comfortable bed and good shower

I expected the parking to be free for guests or at least just a nominal charge. Also, the hotel should review their management of the EV charging spaces. When we arrived, there were petrol/diesel cars parked. Luckily there was one available for us to use but this could be a problem in the future. There were plenty of regular spaces available that could have been used. When we left, all EV charging spaces were occupied by ICE vehicles. Consider better signage and marking of the charging spaces. Maybe some kind of reservation scheme could work.

Upon our arrival we were greeted and checked in very quickly . The suite was very spacious and clean we had everything we needed in the suite a kitchen with all equipment this place even has dish washer in the room and a separate laundry place to wash your clothes . The beds were comfy and the kids loved the fact that there were toys puzzles and books for them to play with they have a food pantry where you can buy stuff to cook in your room . In the morning we went for breakfast the choices were awesome I had a waffle made by my own fair hands I had fruit yogurt and a full English breakfast set me up for the day . Yenny was wonderful to us she made time to do dancing the maceraina with my children and she was so very kind and caring om giving her a big wow . And there was 2 wonderful ladys on reception that helped us find santa clause and gave us lots of Information for carers next year we will be coming back for Jacobs birthday in may but will book through the hotel themselves . Not being able to open a window in the room for fresh air . My son has autism and is still in nappy he did a pooh and it stunk out the whole room we had no way of getting rid of the smell quick . I suggest an air freshener is left in the rooms without windows so guests can eliminate any kind of nasty smell I used my perfume .

Everything, but the main thing is they have lovely lounge area with tea & coffee on tap, 24/7. Also a 12pm check out as standard. The room has a small kitchen fabulous for storing you drinks and snacks, or cooking something before going out? Bathroom is excellent with nice big shower and all the extras you need - proper home from home. Breakfast was excellent, with everything you’d ever need. They even have a waffle maker… Staff were very friendly, especially Yenny on reception, really made me feel welcome.

Location, is a bit far from the main town area,, but only a short 5 min; £6-£7 taxi ride away. However it’s only 5 mins to the lovely Quayside, so this makes up for it .

Staff are truly excellent and friendly, even offered some free drinks to my friends (not paying guests) who were waiting for me in the foyer to check in. Rooms are clean and comfortable, particularly liked the small sofa rather than the usual spartan chair, the photos on Booking are accurate to real life. The beds are comfortable, but are definitely on the firmer side. Excellent Wifi throughout the building. Breakfast buffet is well cooked and has quite a few options available. The in-room kitchenette also includes a fridgefreezer and dishwasher and you can easily appreciate how this would make the room feel more 'homely' during longer stays, a much better option than an over-priced minibar.

Very little to truly dislike here, mostly minor gripes. The rooms seem to have a lot of light switches in odd places, some of which don't seem connected to anything? The air-con does work, but it doesn't feel particularly strong, I suspect this might struggle in very hot summer days. Kitchenette comes fairly well equipped, but is missing odd bits (Has a block of knives for example, but no scissors. Microwave-oven is included, but no manual/settings to explain how to work it.)

Really comfortable and spacious room. Kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. Really appreciated that there was a dishwasher and that the room was regularly cleaned. Staff were so friendly and helpful and we really liked that coffee and tea were available all day for free. Breakfast was brilliant - Really substantial.

We had a few issues with our keys, but the front desk were great and fixed them every time.

Lovely the room, location to water front and the town. Hotel was like home from home. Extra touches of help yourself 24/7 to coffee and even mini muffins was really lovely. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A shout out to Jason who was very warm and welcoming to us. He made a point of catching up with us to find out about our day which made us feel very special 😀.

Some mornings breakfast was cleared away very quickly even though people were still eating. Somethings like the fruit weren"t replenished even though there was still half hour of breakfast left. Watched people having to ask for things that had already been cleared away. This was disappointing as everything else in the hotel was spot on.
