I was in Vero for an outdoor art show. The general manager Greg and his assistant Jeff were amazing, very friendly and helpful with anything I needed! It was so hot that I needed a fan for my show the next day, but I was too exhausted to drive and get one. Jeff took it upon himself to go buy me one...who does that? Unbelievable!! My room was immaculate and very comfortable! The layout of the Islander Inn was so nice. I actually met some of my neighbors and visited with them sitting out on the chairs in front of each room. A fabulous place to stay with an incredible team...would definitely stay here again!!

Nothing.

I loved the proximity to the beach and the amazing restaurants and shops that were in walking distance. Staff members Jeff and Gary were very accommodating to my needs. The coffee and muffins served each morning was a delight!

For me personally, the location of my room made a huge difference in regard to my overall experience. At first, I was placed in a 1st level room with no view of the ocean and staff/occupants walking past my window throughout the day. Thankfully Jeff moved me to a 2nd floor room with a balcony overlooking the pool and a view of the ocean that really changed the level of privacy and overall quality of my stay.

The two employees we interacted with were very friendly and efficient. Great Guys. The breakfast muffins were a very good way to start the day. There was also coffee and tea available. The room was spacious and the shower pressure was fantastic.

Close by in the next block was a night club called the Grind and Grape which was very loud. We could hear their music beats thumping past midnight. This is more a situation where the zoning board dropped the ball to allow this type of business to be so close to the motel area. The Grind and Grape needs to completely enclose and soundproof their walls.

Everything was lovely about this place. Our host was phenomenal. He helped us with everything and kept the place absolutely spotless. The rooms were spacious and had absolutely everything we could've asked for. The beach was right across the street and parking at the Inn was reserved for us. We all wished we had been able to stay longer to use more of the amenities and to see the area better. When we come back, we will definitely stay again.

Everything was great.

The staff and location were both top notch. Staff was incredibly friendly (both front desk and housekeeping), and motel was in walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants without feeling like you were right in the middle of everything. We thought the location was perfect. The motel itself was obviously older, but well kept up and had lots of charm and character - very cute. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Value was good for the area, I think.

Just a warning if you have allergies to scented products: there was a scented wall plug-in that (while a pleasant scent) was overwhelming and was irritating to those of us with allergies. We unplugged ours immediately upon check-in, and could still smell it faintly a couple of days later. My allergies are fairly mild and it affected me; if you have major allergies it could be a larger issue. Also, note that the motel is not very soundproof. (We did not love our noisy neighbors or the music from another propert nearby, but we did love the sound of the rain on the roof - trade-off!) None of these were deal-breakers for us; we'd definitely stay here again. Just some things to consider.

From the moment you drive onto the circular drive to check in, you transcend time to mid Century America to an upscale boutique motel. Jeff at the front desk has the best “my pleasure’ attitude ensuring your stay will exceed expectations. Gary, the GM, with his decades of hospitality experience (I swear) predicts what every guest needs. Our room was comfortably appointed with comfy comforters, beach towels, chairs to relax on inside and outside of our room, refrigerator and microwave. Do not miss the Ryder’s Market to pick up pre-made fresh salads, sandwiches and a bottle of wine. You can envision families from the 50s playing croquet or shuffle board in the courtyard. The pool is a perfect boutique size to cool off and chat with other guests. The breakfast cart in the mornings and champagne happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays is an extra special touch. Islander Inn is a gem on Vero Beach and we are looking forward to another Sister’s Weekend!

Location location location - The ability to walk to the shops, restaurants, nightlife, and beach in Vero Beach. The rooms are very nicely decorated - not like a standard hotel chain. There was coffee and muffins offered in the morning and free bicycles to roam around with. It is a meticulously well-maintained original circa 1950s (?) style hotel that reflects "old Flordia", which seems to be so lost these days. The staff are courteous, and friendly, and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The manager is delightful and projects real Southern charm and hospitality, which is refreshing and again lost these days with the big chain hotels. Real Americana.

One thing that I'm not sure is within the control of the hotel is the fact that in some rooms in the evenings, you can hear the loud music from a nearby nightclub.

Easy check in and parking, comfortable bed, clean, large room, great shower (takes a few minutes for hot water to kick in, but it does), pool area was nice, mostly quiet in room at night. Extras...bikes available and decent, chairs and towels for beach. Beach access is < 5 min walk. Staff excellent, both Gary and Jeff were quick to respond to any needs. Muffins and coffee supplied in the morning were excellent.

Chairs in room not too comfortable, pool not heated so did not swim, first night a little noisy from live music at a local pub but ended 11ish, there is a bit of street noise early with street cleaning etc, but no big deal.

Everything was perfect. We were initially planning to spend one night but ended up staying there for four nights (the rest of our holiday). Gary and Jeff were incredibly helpful and kind, they made our stay unforgettable! The rooms have a pleasant beach house feel, everything is clean and well maintained. There is a nice pool, coffee and muffins are provided every morning and there is even complimentary champagne on Friday and Saturday evenings, which is a nice touch. The location is great, 3 minutes walk to the beach (which has fine, clean sand and clear water). There are quite a few bars and restaurants around if you don't feel like taking the car.

Loved the beach bungalow style of the rooms. Very relaxing aesthetic of the whole property. They have robes, beach towels, bikes, beach chairs. The property was very clean even though it was a tile floor I felt no sand on my feet( I have sensory issues). The beds are comfy and big windows allow for a lot of natural light or u can close blackout shades if you like to sleep in. It’s the perfect location if you want to walk to the shop and only a 2 minute walk through the beach. There is a playground across the street as well in Humiston park if u bring little ones. This cozy inn and the kindest GM made me wish I was staying longer.

The pool was smaller than it appeared in pictures but it was the perfect size if you just want to take a quick dip. Most people don’t really use them at the beach.
