This was our second visit to Plunge. The hotel if very nice...Clean, comfortable, friendly, convenient. Backflip has the best cheeseburger in town. I spent many vacations in LBTS with my family when I was a kid and I thinks it's a great family friendly location for my kids.

There was no indication that there would be extra charges this year. We had to pay for parking and extra beach chairs. Only two chairs per room and there were four of us. There is a daily "resort fee" but these charges were on top of that. I would rather see one inclusive fee than being surprised at every turn for amenities.

The property is directly on the beach! The bar is great, pools are nice and the chairs and umbrellas were there for us daily.

The property has several locations next to each other with one being across the street. I had no idea when I booked resort view. I assumed it was still on the beach, but it was the location across the street. the staff quickly made it right for us with a bungalow!! Make sure to book ocean front if you want to be on the beach.

Great location, close to restaurants and shopping, even a small strip mall across A1A (easy to walk) where you can buy just about everything you need or forgot at home. Located on or across from the beach, easy access, complimentary chairs and umbrellas. (We were in the building across the road and only a few steps from the beach. Tiki bar close to the beach is a plus! Staff was very friendly and helpful and always available night and day. Everyone we encountered at the front desk, bar, restaurant, maid service, tiki pool/beach bar, and the pool staff were very nice.

Need to put a coffee maker in the room. There is coffee available during the day for certain hours, but it would be nice to have the option to have a coffee early without having to leave the room right away. Also there is a welcome hour 3-4 where you get 2 free drinks at the bar which is a nice idea. However, there should be better signs saying the free drinks only include the special drink of the day. We saw a sign in the elevator, and that's how we knew. We did notice people ordering 2 alcoholic drinks, and then being told they were not included in the complimentary drink offer. I should mention the drink of the day was excellent, and we had no problem drinking two each!

I loved the staff and the vibe of the Plunge. The access to the flipback bar between the pool and beach is perfect with great lunch, dinner and drink options. Our room was a 10 out of 10 for cleanliness. Also, the bed was so comfy! I keep coming back to the Plunge year after year and it never disappoints. Lauderdale by the Sea is my happy place.

I would prefer a coffee maker in the rooms. I hate having to get dressed early every morning in order to get my coffee. I'm not a Starbucks fan, so I had to cross the street to Duncan every morning. Also, there needs to be at least 10 more chairs by the pool. There was room for more chairs. The last few times I have been there, more chairs were by the pool.

We absolutely love our room (in Beach Tower) and had it now for past two years. We like the patio right outside our room. We appreciated being able to get it again this year. We love the pool and beach being right there. The BackFlip Bar, staff and food/drinks are great. The restaurant in main lobby area and staff are great as well! We do like the convenience of being so close to Publix and Sea Ranch Lakes Shopping Center. We did really enjoy our stay. Not sure we are coming back next year.

King suite furniture not comfortable. Besides uncomfortable couch, thin padded chairs with metal legs not easy to sit on. We had to remind our cleaning person (they did vary) almost every day that we needed 3 sets of towels. Tried to catch them or be on same floor to go get the additional set. Isn’t it on record, there are 3 adults to the room? Personally, don’t like pets being there, but hope they are assigned “pet rooms”. I think someone with dog allergies would be in trouble coming into space where dog has been as well as not happy thinking dog hair etc.

Very close to the beach, great staff-always helpful and friendly, lots of eating choices in walking distance. My room was really big and provided space to chill, eat and relax! The atmosphere was relaxing, eh view was really good and they keep it very clean even with all the beach goers.

The first day they skipped my housekeeping but had it covered the remaining nights. I didn't remember that there is a $15 a day fee for parking but, it is to be expected that close to the beach.

I like that we can get beach chairs, towels and an umbrella. I also like the BackFlip Bar & Grill.

I was disappointed that there was no coffee maker in the room and the coffee shop in the lobby didn't open until 6:30am on Saturday and even later on Sunday. I wake up early and I want to have a cup of coffee with me while I watch the sunrise on the beach. I also think $500.00/night for a "resort view" room is too much. I stayed at Tides Inn on Thursday April 6th for $336.00 per night, two queen beds on the ocean, with a coffee maker in the room. I may decide Tides Inn is my new beach front hotel.

The property itself could use a bit of TLC in the rooms, the plugs and power points are all surface mounted and the were no cupboards. However, with that said, the place has a fantastic location. Your on the beach and the pool areas are superb. The help from the bar staff and the guys that take deck chairs to the beach was fantastic. The reception staff were very polite. The rooms very kept very clean. I will stay at this hotel again. The location for restaurants, supermarkets, etc is perfect.

Just the lack of cupboards and the surface electrical points

I have stayed on the property twice since February. There was a bit of a construction / noise issue on my first stay so they graciously gave me discounts for my next stay in March. Shot out to Patrick at the front desk. He went out of his way to make sure all was good! The rest of the staff was friendly an accommodating. I loved I didn't have to leave the premises. Beach/ pool/ food and cocktails! I am definitely booking again. I love the place and location.

They need floor length mirrors in the rooms. Having that floor length mirror near a plug would be a bonus as well.

Clean, beautiful location, a few steps from beach; offered lunch and breakfast for a price; have a Starbucks in house; the staff was very helpful and polite. Walking distance to restaurants. Beautiful area. I would come back to this hotel any time.

The umbrellas on the beach weren’t enough. One day we couldn’t seat on the beach until 4 pm we lost a whole day; because they were not enough umbrellas. And they rent the umbrellas to outside people. I understand renting in a slow season but if you have a full house you should not be renting but giving them to the people that actually stay at the hotel. And be prepare to accommodate your guests.
