Enjoyed my stay here before, so decided to book it again this time for a business trip and got a 'shoe box' room, which was compact as expected, but the high ceilings gave it quite a big feel! Enjoyed the included minibar (though it was not as extensive as my previous stay, but that's perfectly fine. The last time I'd stayed in a different room, the shower was open and I had made comment about how wet the rest of the bathroom got despite efforts to control the water flow, so I was very pleased to see my rooms shower had a glass panel to prevent that from happening again. The amenities were, of course, lovely and smelt great! And the bed was very comfortable. A nice touch was music already playing via Alexa - made it feel homely as soon as I entered after checking in. Even nicer a touch is the extra attention the front of house staff make to make the stay enjoyable from the get go. I appreciate the time they take to have you seated at the front desk to talk to you a bit and get you settled. Even though one needs to wait a little bit before being checked in, there are plenty of chairs to sit on in the foyer, and the staff are so great when dealing with you that it kind of makes the wait worthwhile. The front of house staff were truly exceptionally ans hospitable. I have family that I could stay with in Sydney, but I honestly think I'll just keep staying here on subsequent trips!

Small thing - I stayed two nights, and the bath mat was taken (and not replaced) prior to my second night. Perhaps this was intentional and in order to be green, which I wholeheartedly support. It was fortunate that I at least had a spare bath towel to utilise as a mat in its stead, but if it was not intentional, then I wanted to alert the staff of it.

Gorgeous boutique hotel with attention paid to quirky features such as how room numbers are displayed and the football game in the lift shaft. Rooms were just perfectly decorated - art deco style and blended with old brick walls and original pillars. Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and co all playing in lobby and restaurant - perfect music for the atmosphere of the place. Very close to ICC and Darling Harbour and within a 20m walking distance of main shopping precint. Bed was really comfortable - better than my own.

Restaurant food was okay but menu very avant garde and very little appealed so only ate there one night. What I did have was lovely though. No amenities in hotel such as pool or gym but I did know that before I booked.

I love the Ovovlo brand and have stayed at a few in Brisbane and Sydney. They are a unique Boutique style hotel, with emphasis on conserving historical buildings and using art as a medium throughout. We arrived early and they accomodated us with a room immediately, even though we were happy to store our luggage and wait.

We booked a room with views, we ended up with no view and a room direcly in front of the elevator. We obviously didn't realise this until we made our way up and then couldn't be bothered making changes as it was only for one night. We had pre-booked/paid, so cost did bot change. As mentioned before, we were not given the option to wait.

Excellent location closer than I realised to the light rail and with a supermarket nearby. Compact room but super-quiet and so well designed - absolutely no external noise at all. For one person the small room size was no problem; two people would trip over each other a bit. Still, that probably keeps the price down for such a convenient location. I loved that a robe and hairdryer were provided and that waste reduction measures were in place. Staff were all attentive, friendly and efficient, and the bar/restaurant was great. I will certainly stay here again; it surpassed my expectations.

Helpful and cheerful staff. Very clean, quiet, and tidy premises with a restaurant .Lifts to rooms. Free lolly bar in the foyer. I was very happy to be upgraded to a king room. My room had a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable. A short walk to Darling Harbour, other meal options, theatre, and aquatic centre Free fireworks display every Saturday night at 9 pm in Darling Harbour was good, too.

Very minor, but I suggested to staff at the front desk that the room could do with some written instructions on how to access the television extra functions.

The hotel had a lovely restaurant and lobby. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. I was there for my 40th birthday and they gifted me a handmade card and bottle of wine which was a nice touch. The room had personality and I liked the décor. Decent tram connection to the city and other transit services. Nice and quiet overall.

On our final night the air-conditioning broke. This was a problem because we were on the top floor of a renovated warehouse, in December, and boy was it was hot! However we reached an agreement with the staff and were compensated. Also, location is a bit 50/50. There's a good tram stop nearby but you need two trams to get to most places.

Location was perfect to watch an IMAX movie and explore the surrounds with friends. Upon checking-in late in the evening, the hotel staff offerred us an upgrade in room type which was special. I suppose its because they know I have returned to that hotel time and time again. The room was perfect acknowledging that we don't really care about 'space' or 'in room facilities/amenities', since we tend to go out and just use the room to rest at the end of the day.

Although the bed pillows may look nice and fluffy, they ended up being pretty flat upon lying on them. But that's more my preferrence so it might not be an issue for others.

Staff were all very friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. I had arranged for the hotel to provide a welcome hamper for my wife's birthday, and it was perfect! Location was perfect as it was within walking distance of all the harbour attractions around Pyrmont and Darling Harbour. Vehicle parking(subsidized) was conveniently located across the road from The Woolshed, which was handy The rooms were very quiet and there was very little traffic movement around the hotel.

There was very little not to like-the duvee on the bed was maybe a little to warm for myself but this was not really a major issue as as it is a personal preference-otherwise there were no issues to speak of.

It was a last minute trip to Sydney and Woolshed 1888 certainly didn't disappoint. We were upgraded on check-in (amazing - this never happens to us), free mini bar, free lollies (needed!). The staff were fabulous - everything we needed was catered to (we needed to buy clothes for a function (we didn't pack well!) - the staff pointed us in the right direction, we needed to get to Olympic Park - the staff pointed us in the right direction, and we needed to type up a speech very last minute - the manager relinquished her laptop so we could type up a speech. Nothing was too much trouble. I can't wait to get back there.

I can't think of anything that could be improved.

Easy access to hotel using public transport. Ideal location for access to Darling Harbour and Convention Centre. Despite being within walking distance of Darling Harbour restaurants and tourist attractions, the location was very quiet and restful. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful at all times. Quality of food at Mr Percy restaurant was excellent. The menus at Mr Percy restaurant were a surprise, since they were not the list of usual suspects. Food quality was excellent and the service was superb. The ambience was warm and inviting. The live music was just the right volume and did not detract from the dining experience. The free candy and popcorn bar was a great idea, Overall, a most enjoyable stay.

Couldn't find anything not to like about the Woolstore 1888. I would certainly recommend the property and would not hesitate to stay there again.
