Everything was great. Beautiful location, very welcoming staff. We spent 3 nights in a junior suite, which is on the Black Parrot side of the resort. It’s an adults only side, with a quiet pool and plenty of Sun loungers and seating in a covered area with fans. The room was just beautiful, we were in room 502 which had a beautiful balcony, perfectly situated to watch the sunset in private every evening. The wooden fittings / doors etc are slightly dated, but it didn’t take from the luxury of the place at all.

Nothing really - except we love to snorkel and found out that the best side of the island to snorkel on changes every 6 months - at the moment, this side has rougher seas and sea grass, visibility was effectively zero, we couldn’t even see our hands in front of our faces! but Anse Lazio on the other side of the island was fantastic for snorkelling, and although it was booked out before we got there, the resort does offer a free shuttle bus there 3 times a week.

We visited on our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and we felt like they really went out of their way to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. We also loved the food at the hotel, particularly the breakfasts, and also the complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits offered every afternoon which we thought was a lovely touch. The sunsets from the pontoon are also fantastic! At the time we visited (in early September) this part of the island was very windy and unfortunately it was not possible to use the hotel's beach or swim in the ocean, however I imagine this would be lovely at other times of year. I would also recommend hiring a car if possible, because there is not much within walking distance of the hotel - however many places are just an easy drive away. We unfortunately were only able to stay two nights at Coco de Mer, but still had a great experience. Coco de Mer is very modern and clean. The staff members are a dream, they're super friendly and helpful. On our arrival we were greeted by one of the directors Ash and manager Ahmed, and immediately felt welcomed and comfortable around them. We've mentioned in our booking that we were vegan and requested if they could take that into consideration and of course they catered to that. Right away at the beginning during our check-in Ahmed took notice of that and even called the chef for us. One evening the dinner was a la carte and the chef whipped up a vegan dinner menu for us and the other evening dinner was buffet night and even here he took us for a tour around the buffet and showed us what we could eat - and there were lots of choices! Breakfast is buffet style and also has a lot of choices, if by any chance there isn't the staff would definitely cater to that and cook something separately. On our departure day our ferry back to Mahe left a bit later than check-out and Ahmed tried his best to accommodate to that also and checked availability with the reception. Lucky for us we were able to check out a bit later! During breakfast and dinner the staff are always very attentive and taking their time to have chat with us sharing their stories and give out advices and recommendations on the island. Harry and Babar were super friendly and accomodating. We had a very special connection with Babar, he was so so caring! On a side note to my fellow germans: Ahmed, Harry und Babar können super deutsch! Special thanks to Ahmed and Barbar and the chef, whose name we unfortunately forgot, for making our experience at Coco de Mer so much better than we already would have.

We visited Praslin to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and our stay at Coco de Mer and Black Parrot Suites made it truly unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond to make our celebration special, surprising us with a beautifully crafted cake and a heartfelt, handmade card. It’s these personal touches that made our trip so memorable—thank you to the entire team! What truly sets this hotel apart is its outstanding staff. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ahmed, who greeted us with a refreshing welcome drink and thoroughly explained the many complimentary activities available during our stay. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. I highly recommend opting for the half-board option during your stay. First, the food is absolutely incredible—delicious, varied, and full of local flavors. Second, the hotel is somewhat secluded, and navigating Praslin in the evening can be a bit challenging due to the narrow, unlit roads. Having dinner at the hotel is not only convenient but also a culinary delight. One pleasant surprise was that the drink prices at the hotel were quite reasonable compared to other places in the Seychelles, and the variety of beverages was impressive. Special thanks to Ajay, who took care of us at every meal. His friendly conversations, helpful suggestions about the island, and thoughtful attention to our preferences made each dining experience a pleasure. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the dinner staff, who were equally welcoming, although I regret not remembering all their names. Anura and Nirakar at the Mango Bar also deserve a mention for their attentiveness during our visits. A unique highlight of our stay was feeding an eel in the hotel’s natural stream—a truly amazing experience made possible by Raien, one of the chefs, who kindly guided us through this.

The hotel itself is a bit dated, but it’s clear that they are working hard to maintain the property, and most importantly, everything is kept impeccably clean. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty, but honestly, this wasn’t an issue for us as we came here to relax and disconnect.

Stunning property, beautiful facilities, some really lovely helpful staff! Coco de Mer absolutely lived up to our expectations! Food quality was also very good. Services were well done, fantastic massage. Also really enjoyed the excursions, especially to Anse Lazio and the nature hike! Overall I highly recommend this hotel!

It's tough to get around Praslin without renting a car, something we were wont to avoid, as we don't drive on the right hand side. Taxis are also kind of expensive. Thus it would be nice to offer some more excursion trips, maybe to a few beaches. I also think a pickup at the ferry upon arrival and departure would have been nice to have, as some hotels do offer this service. Checkout time is very early at 10am. Most hotels allow until 12pm.

Great location to relax and explore Praslin. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly, and are adding a personal touch which we really liked. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food quality and selection was very good, be it for breakfast or dinner. One thing to point out: the lunch options around the pool are amazing and very well priced - we often did an activity in the morning, came back to the hotel, and left again after lunch. As written by many others, having a rental car is a good idea (we can e.g. highly recommend Capricorn). Driving on the island is relaxed, although the roads can be steep and narrow.

The rooms are good, but with slightly outdated equipment. We found the bed only okay, because there was a hollow in the middle.

This was our second time at Coco de Mer, and we'll definitely be back next time we come to the Seychelles! Most of the staff were the friendliest people we met in all of Seychelles during our 3,5 week stay. They went above and beyond to help (especially Harry!!), and were always happy and smiling, polite and kind. They were so attentive to our 11 month old baby as well, and he loved all the attention! Our room was great, the premises were great. Unfortunately we had pretty terrible weather, and there were a LOT of seaweeds on the beach and in the ocean, however this is not exactly something the hotel can control - just our bad luck.

The room cleaning could have been a little better. For example, it didn't seem like any surfaces were cleaned or wiped off during our 5-night stay. To be fair, it definitely wasn't terrible - but could be a little better too.

Staff were simply amazing, very friendly, caring and couldn’t do enough for us during our stay, the service was impeccable. Food was amazing, varied and made fresh and catered for many tastes, very reasonable prices for extra’s. Had an amazing couples massage and coconut milk bath

Nothing, every staff member really checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and remembered us every day and were genuinely interested in us and if they could do anything to make our stay in paradise any better

We had half board (breakfast & dinner) and the food was very delicious, diverse and fresh. We had different food options every day. The view and location of the hotel were amazing. Also liked the rooms how they were decorated and how well maintained and cleaned. Staff were very helpful and kind. The beach was very clean and had chance to see many fishes with snorkel & mask.

I think it is a general issue in Seychelles that it is hard to find good cocktails :) Maybe they can improve their cocktail menu but we loved their wine selections
