Very good location in Central Business District, restaurants and bars nearby. Short walk to V and A Waterfront. Excellent security in hotel including parking. Friendly staff.

This is not a reflection of the Urban Elephant itself, but an important point about the area. Although the hotel is based on a main street, appearing safe, we were scammed on the 3rd morning of our stay by three men on Bree Street dressed as friendly security guards. They said we needed special passes to visit the area due to demonstrations, and In the process, they stole our credit cards, be warned!

The apartment was great, fully equipped kitchen and a wonderful view They have a small gym that even if not well equipped was enough for a good training session The building is very safe, but we didn't feel completely safe walking to the waterfront from there. We were always bothered by someone during the walk.

The check in was pretty traumatic. I was informed that somebody would assist us for the parking, but when we arrived nobody was there. I parked quickly on the side of the road while my girlfriend went inside to get information about the parking but the guys inside didn't care at all and wanted to have all our information before letting us park. Meanwhile a very rude woman outside was pressing me and writing down my cars plate because I couldn't park there. So, a very stressful start They provide some water but I wouldn't suggest drinking it because it didn't taste or smell particularly good

- complete facility in apartment unit (full kitchen equipment, washing machine) - the property is in good condition, relatively new, clean and well maintained - balcony with table mountain view from my apartment unit (2207) - strategic location in the safe area, walking distance to v&a waterfront (15 mins) - easy to find uber and uber seemed easy to find the building - there's a roof top seating area with very nice view of cape town - jacquie the housekeeping manager was so helpful during my stay - securities in the front desk were quite polite and helpful, the access to the lift used face recognition

- sofa in lobby can be added so guests can wait for check-in or wait for pick-up (uber) conveniently - swimming pool was small and can be crowded in the summertime - outdoor gym was small and very limited equipments

Fantastic views, a terrace with a pool and pool bar. This had the best views of Table Mountain and the city. Security was impressive, even leaving the bags before and check in was profesional and easy with security. Flat was clean, well equipped and I highly recommended this place.

The building is very noise and the curtains are not protecting you from the lights, unfortunately we were awake at sunrise every morning

Urban Elephant staff great, Adrian even bringing a care package when my luggage never arrived. Security also great and were very helpful in following up where the missing luggage was. Great location, easy walk to hop on hop off buses, 25 min walk to waterfront and easy enough to uber from. Kitchen and washing facilities available also

Shower door doesn't close properly so water can get on the floor but have let management know to fix. Need to be aware of surroundings when walking in neighbourhood, walked past a user injecting himself in the morning, and streets around the area rife for pickpocketing. Be vigilant and don't walk alone at night and shouldn't have any problems.

The security that it came with! Very top notch and made us feel safe!

The pool was not heated so because we went in it in May, it was freezing cold water! My suggestion to the complex manager would be to add a heating feature so it can be enjoyed all year round!

This was, by-far, the best place I have stayed at in Cape Town. Self-catering apartment with a few essentials for cleaning, etc. This was the perfect place for a solo or a couple to stay. Views were immaculate from the balcony, spacious for just myself and maybe a friend. I was welcomed so nicely with all the friendly gentlemen at the lobby and had decent respect overall. Close to Seattle Coffee and other lovely Cafés and resturants and quick Uber trips around the city. Highly recommend as it was great value for what was given 👏.

The only problem was that I wasn't able to stay longer 😕. Will definitely be coming back.

I accidentally left my hat in the apartment upon checkout, and Kudra immediately took action. He communicated with me promptly and arranged for the hat to be left at reception so I could organize an Uber to collect it and bring it to the airport in time for my departure. This level of care and attention to detail made a lasting impression and highlighted the exceptional hospitality at Urban Elephant. Kudra’s professionalism and willingness to assist in every way made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Urban Elephant 16 Bree Street to anyone visiting Cape Town.
