Breakfast and dinner was ok. I loved Security in the resort that enabled me to jog around without fear of being mugged. I loved that they have a laundromat that guests can use at no extra cost. Loved the shop that sells all the necessities. Friendly staff. The pool is nice and big.

The carpets gave a terrible smell in the rooms. The closet was tiny for a couple staying 6 nights, had to keep our clothes in the suitcases. The kitchen curtain is see through at night. As much as the resort itself is beautiful it is located far from the places of attraction which required a lot of travelling.

The views of the mountains was spectacular It was like I'm in a new world 😍

Arrived Saturday afternoon 17h45, restaurant inside the facility was expensive, for me traveling with family it was unaffordable 😓 Tried the Cafe inside the lodge, they had pies only 😓 My last option was the garage at the entrance , drove there guess what?! It was closed 😢, closes at 6pm. It was Saturday night no where to go , we slept on an empty stomachs 😓😓

Excellent location to see the Blyde River canyon-upper view point. Lovely hikes-the reception desk could be a bit more knowledgeable (possibility even have done the hikes for personal feedback) lovely pool, well stocked shop. bottle store. Great for families with kids

outdated chalets they need a refurb but they are well equipped for self catering. Clean. Slightly over priced for the chalet rate, but the facilities and amazing location are reasons for this pricing. Baboons a problem but people are warned and need to keep chalet locked at all times.

Perfect accommodation to experience canyon views and the surrounding area. Great customer service, on request we were given an appartment with spectacular views. It was a bit isolated on the edge, but overall we felt very safe at the resort. Nice staff in the restaurant and everywhere on the premises. There was also a shop (moderately well stocked) and a petrol station with liquor store. It's all very spread out and on the mountain, so you have to be good on foot or always drive.

Kitchen equipment a bit oldish but it was not a problem.

We stayed two nights. The location is great, the hiking trail from the property (we did Leopard A1, Guinea Fowl B2 and Loerie B2 in that order..about 3.5 hours) was magical. The houses were a little cool and old fashioned..bit everything works. Staff very helpful.

The restaurant has a buffet offering and supposedly also A-La-Carte Menu. We didn't want the buffet because it was simply too much (and also much more expensive). Repeatedly they insisted we could only have buffet and we had to fight back every time until they agreed to also offer what was on the menu.

The location of the resort was great, it was in close proximity to other site seeing destinations e.g the Kruger park, God's window and Burke's potholes. The Staff at the resort were friendly and very helpful.

The restaurant was not great, the food offered is sub-standard. Not what you expect for a resort where a lot of clientele are foreign tourists An indoor heated pool would make a huge difference to a holiday resort that is far away from other amenities Taking into consideration that the resort is a distance away from descent supermarkets, it would have been nice to find quality foods in the resort shop. The chalet shower was not great, the drain outside was blocked and overflowed The chalets have a awkward smell that takes time to get used to.

The location of the resort is perfect if you want to see the sites.The resort itself is great with a lovely pool that we enjoyed.It's a wonderful place and the kids enjoyed themselves.The rooms are spacious and comfortable.The kitchen had all the amenities necessary.The little shop in the resort is well stocked and reasonably priced.We loved the place and will be back.

The place is well maintained, but could do with a revamp.The bedrooms could do with new carpets or wooden floors.It would be great if they could put a couch or some kind of ottoman to sit on while relaxing or watching TV(there is space).It rained for a couple of days while we were there,and we really could not relax in the chalet while we were stuck there.

The location is amazing: there is an upper look-out point with beautiful views of the 3 rondawels and the canyon lake. There are also several walks, of diverse lengths and fitness levels. The restaurant offers a very nice buffet and the staff is friendly. As the chalet we had booked was not ready, we got upgraded to a 6-person one, which was very spacious and bright, with a wonderful sitting room.

There were a couple of maintenance issues in our friends' Standard King Room, which had a tiny kitchen. We had to buy meat for a braai at the shop, but found the choice pretty limited and the quality disappointing.

The location of the resort makes it a part of Blyde River Canyon nature reserve, which makes it a perfect destination for everyone who wants to enjoy nature and amazing views. By booking your stay here you're gaining not only accommodation but also access to two viewing points (with the upper one being my favourite sunset location), few walking trails (leopard trail is a good stroll and it'll take you to another fantastic "secret" viewing point), a good restaurant, swimming pool and few more activities that can fill up all the gaps in your itinerary. You'll also find laundry facilities if you need them. Food in the restaurant is very tasty, service is excellent and prices are very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Our small house was comfortable and we had everything we needed to make the best of our stay. Monkey and baboon visitors made us feel even closer to nature (remember do not feed or pet them they are wild animals). Overall we had an amazing holiday experience and our time in A Forever Resort is part of fantastic memories we have from South Africa.
