Exterior and interior design of hotel was just amazing! Something we didn't expect from the overall area (Hongdae). Staff at reception were very helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was delicious! One day, there was no breakfast because they were filming a kdrama but we were offered an alternative breakfast package delivered to our room which was delicious and a lot! Rooms were very clean and big enough for the two of us. Bathroom had a bath which was nice to relax after a full day out. Location was excellent as it's close to bus stops, underground station as well as the Hongdae shopping street and university buildings.

For its price, it offers EXCELLENT value for money because the room is spacious, the bathroom is spacious, the toilet has a modern bidet, there is rainshower, the hotel is located in a GREAT location a block away from the pedestrianized street where there is shopping, food, and most importantly… STREET PERFORMERS! I highly recommend this hotel.

One slight improvement opportunity is for there to be a glass door in the bath area so that the water won’t get everywhere when taking a shower. But i was able to avoid that from happening by being very careful with the placement of the handheld shower before turning on the knob. Other than this (which is manageable), it was an absolutely excellent stay!

We stayed at 9Brick Hotel in Hongdae for 6 nights in August 2022. The hotel is fantastic, clean and welcoming. Staff is friendly and polite. We had a room on the 14th floor, which felt more like a small apartment due to the size. The view from the window was lovely, overlooking Hongdae. The room had a little "half floor" with bathroom and in floor bathtub, which was quite fancy, separated by a copper effect wall with the bed, desk and seating downstairs (Giving the room a very nice ceiling height. The bed was very comfortable, and the placement of the AC in the upper part of the room made the room cool without it blowing in your face at night. The neighbourhood of Hongdae is amazing with a ton of bars, cafés, shops and restaurants. Hongik Uni metro station is a stone's throw from the hotel, and has acces to Metro Line 2 which circles around Seoul and the Airport train line, making it a very convenient place to stay. If you're staying in Hongdae, 9Brick hotel is definitely a great option and excellent value for money.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The room was cozy and warm during the winter, thanks to the floor warmer, which made it incredibly comfortable. The toilet was spotless and odor-free, equipped with a bidet system that added a touch of luxury to the experience. Highly recommend for a comfortable and pleasant stay! The location is good which we had no problem to bring our large luggage to the subway with elevator access to the platform.

Great location within minutes walk from the station, airport bus stop, and shopping street. We could come back and rest mid-day whenever we were tired.

The “do not disturb” button doesn’t work. We usually only request for housekeeping on alternate days so this was a little inconvenient as we had to tell the housekeeper in the morning not to come in the room. The light panel was only at the inner bedside which is hard to reach as we had to walk around the whole bed to turn on/off certain lights. Dual switch would be better.

The room was well laid out, comfortable, looked and smelled nice, had good airconitioning, in short it was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, I asked if there was an iron I could use and the sent one up to my room, I had to sit down to use it because I'm tall but it was high quality equipment.

I have only two very small gripes: - the only tea in the room was chamomile (I would have like some black tea e.g. english breakfast) - the lighting at the vanity is pretty poor for shaving or doing make-up

This was our second stay at 9Brick Hotel in Hongdae, funnily enough we were given the exact same room as the first time. The hotel is still lovely and comfortable. We did have a little water leak below the sink which was dealt with the same day. The hotel is very well placed in Hongdae, a lively neighbourhood with restaurants and bars. The rooms are very quiet and the beds provide a decent night's sleep. Staff are friendly and helpful, they kept our luggage during a short intercity trip and helped us booking a taxi on our departure day.

Our stay was extremely pleasant thanks to a very helpful and friendly hotel staff named Han. She always greeted us with warm welcome and gave us some local suggestions/ guidance which was very helpful. Our room was also well-cleaned daily with the amenities refilled. We love how convenient this location is as well, all bus stops and train station are within walking distance, with lots of shopping and food district around our area.

Probably need to fix the dim lighting or at least provide one bright light in a room, for getting ready/ applying make up.

Great hotel with a very good location - close to numerous transportation options (bus, subway). The room size was very good, providing a lot of space. The amenities were as per expectation.

We requested for an extra douvet and were surprised that we had to pay for it (rent for the period of usage). The cost was not big; however, it was the first time during our travels where we were asked to pay extra for this.
