great location for evening stroll and dinner. Worth the time.

At first the area seemed sketchy but then you realize you've misread the area. Parking might be a problem but we were on a motorcycle and got to park outside the front door.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a nice big shower.. There is a nice pub/restaurant underneath the hotel. There is free parking about 2 minutes walk away as also there is a supermarket nearby.. Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful,,, I also had a fridge in the room which was not expected.. Will definitely return

The location was very good in the old town but there is a huge steep hill into the main town,,,which was about 10 minutes walk away.. For older people,, you definitely need to get a taxi or bus into the main town/beach Unfortunately I did not have either a terrace or balcony to sit outside in the evening to enjoy the sunshine.. Will request a room with a balcony on my return

Very conveniently located to the old town, with all its artisan shops and restaurants. The room was clean, air conditioned and had my room had a balcony. Very tasty breakfast (not included) in the adjacent cafe. About €5 in a taxi from the bus stop(well worth it as the hotel/old town is up a steep hill). 10-15 mins walk down to the beach. This hostal was excellent value for money.

This is not a "hostel", there is no self catering/ shared kitchen. A Spanish hostal is more like a cheaper hotel with basic facilities.

This is a basic hotel ("Pension") in the Old Town of Altea. It has comfortable beds, is clean, the air conditioning works well, and most importantly, it is right on the edge of the Old Town. This means the nicest shops and restaurants on top of the hill are only a short walk away, but the rooms are away from most of the associated crowd noise. The staff member on the desk was highly enthusiastic, very friendly, and keen to point out the panoramic views available from the rooftop, which was a bonus.

No English speaking staff available during our stay, but the enthusiasm and friendliness of the lady behind the desk meant it was easy to communicate via Google Translate.

Well fitted room, modern and clean with good facilities. Small terrace with partial sea view over rooftops. Quite. Lift.

Reception area lets down the standard of the rooms. No one in reception on arrival. Bell on desk didn’t work. Didn’t see sign outside saying press outside bell. Waited 40 minutes before wandering around upper floors to find staff

Comfortable beds, cute balcony, lovely terrace upstairs with a beautiful view. Good price for value.

Not comfortable pillows. A leaking noise came from the toilet, which was a bit annoying at night. On the booking.com page it says, there was breakfast included for 6.5euros. But apparently, the restaurant doesn´t belong to the hotel, it is a separate installation. The breakfast was very nice and we paid approximately 10 euros each.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and attached to a café that provided a good breakfast. The location was very good for enjoying the centre of the town. A bit of a climb coming back from the beach.

Everything was fine, no complaints at all. The plumbing is a bit tired in the bathroom but it is an older building.

The room was spacious, with an extra large double bed with a comfortable mattress, we had a small balcony to sit on, the room was very clean and the bathroom was modern. The panoramic views at the top of the hostal were fantastic and the location was perfect

More electric plug sockets would have been better, and the pillows weren’t very comfortable

Absolutely lovely place. Right in the heart of the old town. Fantastic for parking and all free. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by in fact the restaurant and bar right next to Fornet Altea was wonderful. Had a fantastic time and would highly recommend. Very quite area and the Hostel was super clean. Well done .

Nothing to dislike.

The location is perfect, right at the end of the main walking street in the Altea old town. Despite the proximity to the center, it was very quiet at night – great for sleeping (note: I stayed on a Wednesday). Also, it has a fantastic view from its rooftop terrace. Breakfast at the cafe next door was good as well, super convenient to have it right there.

No complaints come to mind.
