This is super comfortable space in a wonderful part of the city. If the Sagrada Familia is going to be the highlight of your Barcelona trip, this place is a short, 5-block walk away. And there are plenty of food and tapas options along the way. For the price, we got a whole 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment with a living room, kitchen, dining area, and balcony, which is an incredible value. The kitchen in particular was great—we were able to keep leftovers in the fridge and cook a few meals to save a little money on food. A perfect place if you're a couple or small family for a longer stay in Barcelona.

The check-in process can be a bit convoluted and impersonal if you prefer in-person interaction like me. You're given a door code for the front door, then when you get to the lobby, you interact with a touch screen and box to provide the necessary passport info before finally getting your key card. When you check out, the red box you're supposed to drop the key in is a little easy to miss. Maybe some pictures included with the instructions can help. It's not hard if you read the instructions carefully and prefer contactless check-in. A minor personal inconvenience for a really great space!

Apartaments Independencia really exceeded our expectations. It was extremely spacious, very clean, great location and like a home away from home. We prepared several meals in the lovely kitchen, however the oven and hotplates were a little tricky to navigate and there was no instructions provided. Location wise, there were lots of little supermarkets and eateries in the area as well as buses and metro stations nearby for easy access to the beach and city centre. Best of all, it was only a 10-15 minute walk from the amazing Segrada Familia. A must see for anyone visiting Barcelona. Overall, we had a wonderful time in this apartment and would highly recommend it to others.

The wifi was woeful! It was extremely slow or, at times non existent, and this became an issue when I was trying to respond to messages or emails. My husband was relying on the wifi for work related communications and he found the poor internet reception extremely frustrating. This was the only negative about staying at this lovely apartment.

The location is great, just a few minutes (less than 10) from the Sagrada Familia and about half an hour of foot from city center. The apartment was roomy, clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for some cooking when you don't want to go out to eat and overall the experience was good. The apartment gets cleaned for free every 5 days and the towels get replaced. Overall great value for a vacation in Barcelona and very convenient for a stay there.

There are minor points but worth mentioning: While it is stated that laundry service is available, that is not true - there are several self-service laundry shops around the apartment (I recommend La Wash), but the complex itself offers no such service. Wi-Fi connectivity was pretty poor, with the signal barely there - had to purchase a signal extender to get it to be stable enough to watch a movie (gaming is off the table as ping was still very high and the connection lagged). The reception could be reached via intercom or via phone, but there was nobody at the front desk.

The property is in nice neighborhood. It’s calm, yet it’s not lonely and completely out of everything. Also, the property is in building you can’t come so easily in, so it makes you feel safe, which is very important for me. It is clean and quite spacious for couple. Hot water always available for showering.

WiFi works well in the property (social media), once you sit at the balcony it stops working. Also, I am not sure how would it be working on such a network. Towels changing every 5 days, which is not often, especially when you stay 4 days with same towel. My personal opinion is that the property is a little empty, I missed flowers or anything like that. 😊

Accommodation is very big and great value for money. Two metro stations near, one goes directly to airport. Neighborhood is very nice with many coffee shops, restaurants, stores etc. Very clean, very comfy beds

No answer from property on message via Booking and two SMS messages sent. Luckily we did not have any problem for check in as it is done via automated check in machine. We used all toilet paper after two days and by previous experience we did not bother to contact property it was easier for us to buy it. Window in bedroom was open when we arrived so it was pretty cold and could not heat fast enough. We arrived near midnight and could not go to sleep right away as it was too cold. Bed in living room was really really soft. WiFi signal is bad in living room.

Staff were very helpful, the apartment is as advertised and the location is superb, public transport is close by, we use public transport from and to the airport. 7 mins to big supermarket and there are lots of small one, one of them just around the corner which open 24 hrs.

Apartment was a bit dirty, couch has a lot of dirt. Cutleries, plates, cups were left in dishwasher and some of them still dirty and wet. Sent emails to establishment but were left unanswered even after we check in. We checked in after hours and was issued swipe cards, however, we were never been told that the cards only valid until 10:00am the next day, so when we went for a walk the next morning and came back after 10:00am the cards 'refused' to work, luckily there was concierge that was on duty and he duly issued us the proper cards.

The place was big and spacious. Good heating too.

Wish there was a washing machine.

Spacious clean flat, excellent facilities. Fully equipped kitchen, good air conditioning, powerful shower. Lots of fluffy towels. Plenty of space to relax. Very large, comfortable bed, good storage. Quiet friendly, residential neighbourhood, convenient location near Clot and Encants metro and bus lines and good cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. Near Sagrada familia but not at all touristy. It has a lift.

Airer would have been useful.

Good location easy to get transportation. Clean and a good amount of room. Big bed ! Though we could hear SOME noise from surrounding flats, it was mostly very quiet and we could sleep well.

The kitchen was understocked for self-catering. There were plenty of plates and mugs and wine glasses. However, the cutlery was very minimal and had no teaspoons or drinking glasses. Needs some kind of kitchen towel(cotton) and oven mitts for when you bake things... I had to resort to a bathroom towel, which isn't ideal. Needs a few more hangers and an iron/ironing board... I had to wet my clothes, blow dry them a little, and leave them to hang dry over a chair for a day before I could wear what I wanted to wear.

The location of the apartment is great. It’s in a nice neighborhood, close to Sagrada Familia. Additionally there are many coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores in the area. Metro and bus stops are also close. The apartment itself was spacious and clean. We really liked the self check in process, it’s really efficient. There is 24h reception as well, which can be called in case help is needed.

The wifi was either very slow or not working at all.
