This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and is beginning to feel like home to me. The fact I keep returning speaks volumes for the place. And, from its location, one can easily walk to anywhere in the centre of this lovely architectural city.

The coir door mat to the entrance lobby needs sorting. It is torn and tripped on it. Luckily I came to no harm. Please replace before my next return.

The people working in this hotel are the nicest people ever! From reception to house keeping to the breakfast staff, they’re the nicest people ever! My room was spacious and the bathroom had the bidet which initially why I booked this hotel. The room had blackout curtains and double glass on the balcony which I haven’t seen in 5 star hotels! It’s very close to everything which is wonderful. Their knives in the morning eating cutlery were actually sharp and cuts perfectly not like those blunt knives that doesn’t do anything. When I first checked in and went to my room I couldn’t find the remote for the AC, I called reception and he came up to help me find it. The remote was in the room but I’m the one who couldn’t see it, I also requested extra hotels and he got them to me in less than 10 minutes. Also, it is worth noting that, I always put the “do not disturb” sign outside the door because I keep the room clean already. On my third night I found a huge bag with towels, toiletries, toilet paper rolls …etc! I have never seen this not even in 5 stars hotel. That level of care is unprecedented!

Absolutely nothing

This is honestly the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Barcelona for a couple of reasons: - Excellent location, but surprisingly quiet! No street noise or sound from other guests except for occasional door opening and closing. - The breakfast (which was included) was of great value, with bread, pastries, ham, eggs, fruits etc. - The last one might be a personal preference but I really like how firm the mattress is compared to many other hotels, which was friendly to people with bad backs.

The hotel could definitely use some renovation, the carpet looked worn out, and the elevator didn’t work on the first floor during my stay which was a minor inconvenience.

Excellent location: Placa Catalunya, La Rambla and Passeig de Gracia are just in few minutes of walk, nearby lots of shops, stores and cafes. Metro and bus stations are close enough and you can get anywhere you want. Room was clean enough, especially the bed was very clean. The bathroom had comb, a small pack of napkins, shower cap and required toiletiers. Breakfast was good enough for a 3 star hotel: several types of juices, fresh fruits, hams, beacons, eggs, sweets, coffee, tea, etc. Great value for money.

The most noticeable thing was that the room had no source of direct sunlight and fresh air. It had a window looking into the corridor of the hotel, that's why the room was humid and not refreshed with oxygen. The other thing was that everything was so old, the toilet especially, it wasn't fixed well on the floor. We didn't change the room because we were stayed just for 2 nights, otherwise, I would request a little better option.

We had a room with a window to an enclosed “patio”. Because of this, there is almost no fresh air as previously mentioned here. But, thanks to this, the room was quiet. The street on which the hotel is located is quite noisy, and I think the rooms with windows to the street were noisy. Breakfast is simple, but everything is enough to start the day. The hotel is very conveniently located, you can walk to many interesting places, there is a stop for hop on hop off buses. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. For a couple of nights the hotel is excellent.

The hotel is very well located- close to everything. We were thrilled with the location close to everything but not in the noisy tourist area (just a few blocks away, though). It is basic, clean and has everything you need. The bathroom is good: water pressure very nice. The staff is SUPER friendly, and very helpful with everything. Thank you for the warm welcome and kind service! Even the breakfast staff was cheery!

Suggestions for improvement: My room (individual) was fine: the pillows are terrible, though. Flat and lifeless, almost like not having any at all. My neck was sore every morning. The mattress was acceptable. I suppose I could have asked for more pillows but it didn't occur to me until later... The breakfast was ok. During the two mornings I was there I missed having fresh fruit... there were oranges and apples, but in the morning it would be nice to have bananas, kiwis, cut-up fruit... Overall it was fine, and the food in general was fresh and good.

Good location, closed to hop on bus stop , just 10 minutes walk to Plaza de Catalunya and plenty of shops and restaurants near by. Room is spacious with comfortable bed. Friendly cleaning staff. The buffet breakfast offered good quality Spanish ham, bacon and plenty of fresh fruits, juice etc. Good machine coffee and tea , several choices of sweet savoury bread and toast. The pre online check in is brilliant, just required report at the reception desk upon arrival with payment, then pick up the keys to the room. .

Nothing I can think of

The breakfast was included, and so much better than I thought it would be. The room was a good size, and the location was perfect. Our flight out was in the late afternoon, and we used the luggage storage room at the hotel during the day after we had checked out.

The lighting in the room wasnt as good as it could have been, 2 bedside lamps and another lamp near the desk. It would have been better with a light on the roof that lit the whole room a bit more.

Good location within walking distance to attractions and near to a metro station. Very friendly and helpful staff who speak excellent English. Eduard was especially helpful with directions and suggestions on how to get around the area. Breakfast was excellent!

It was a little bit smelly outside the hotel as there were some homeless residents but only at night. Lighting in the room was a little dim for me.
