Phenomenal boutique hotel, with cosy rooms, awesome bar and pool on the roof and the best staff ever! I highly recommend booking the deluxe suite with sea view and terrace - the apartment has everything you need, kitchenette included. The breakfast is delicious, with a plethora of option - be aware, it is served in a nearby hotel, 2 minutes walk away. The hotel is located in the best possible place - on the edge of Bari Gotic, 10 mins to La Rambla and 10 mins to Barceloneta. Great little restaurants and bars all around, great public transport is also available. It was one of my best stays anywhere. Special thanks to really helpful, really nice and really accomodating reception team!

The room had a port view which we requested.Size of room was good and a plus was the kitchenette. Bathroom was also neat clean and modern.The staff was always welcoming and friendly . The roof top bar has amazing views of the port. My overall experience of this hotel was great and I would go back as it’s close to the Big Bus route and walking distance to some of the sites and beach.

There is very little bad about the hotel, a bit of construction in the reception area and road frontage, but these did impact our stay. These is city noise that filters through to the room as we are on a Main Street; but again , this did not impact us. I think my only issue is with staying in the gothic quarter, as there is limited rest rooms in the city and bar and restaurant goers use the streets as their rest room which is not great a smell when you are leaving and getting back to the hotel.

This hotel's prime location serves as a perfect base for exploring Barcelona on foot. You're just steps away from Barceloneta beach and within short walking distance to major attractions like the Cathedral, La Rambla, and the Gothic Quarter. The area is also surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars. The rooms offered spectacular views of the city, surpassed only by the even more impressive vistas of the sunrise from the rooftop. Our stay was enhanced by thoughtful amenities, including a convenient in-room microwave. The staff's outstanding hospitality was demonstrated when they surprised us with a complimentary bottle of wine after our first night. Look online for cheaper parking on the Parclick app rather than doing a drive in which costs significantly more. (Blue land Princesa- €31 euro for 2 nights within a 5 minute walk)

While our stay was overwhelmingly positive, there were two small suggestions for improvement: - The rooms would benefit from the addition of a full-length mirror - The Wi-Fi connection process could be simplified for easier guest access However, these minor points did not significantly impact our overall experience.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The hotel is centrally located in the port district with easy access to shops, restaurants and pubs. Neighborhood felt safe although one might want to be cautious on side streets after the shops have closed. Suite was clean and comfortable although tight for space. Dishes, cookware and utensils were provided. Reception staff were friendly and helpful with information and suggestions. Breakfast is provided at a sister hotel just 2 minute's walk away. Dining room staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast provided lots of options. Particularly enjoyed the champagne and orange juice option. Would certainly stay here again if in Barcelona.

Size of the unit itself.

Very good, was surprised it was in another building down the road for breakfast. Very good choice of breakfast food and nicely set out. Staff mainly very friendly and helpful.

The room shutters wouldn’t fasten properly. The room would benefit from some kind of extra sound proofing from the road as it was exceptionally noisy at night from people shouting in the street below, cars, sirens, boat/ship horns etc which was very sleep disrupting. The room appeared very clean but on entry each time had a strong odour from the bathroom like urine.

Great little apartment room. They provided a baby cot with an added excellent mattress and a high chair. Good location. coffee machine, microwave, kettle, pots and Pans etc all provided

There was a very bad smell coming from the kitchenette sink. They offered to move us on our last day but with a baby it would have been a faf. They explained it’s an old area with band pipes… I also hate when they get 2 single beds, push them together and throw a thick sheet over it and call it an extra large double. the Mattresses could do with replacing.

The Duquesa is located near the marina. The area offers a number of good restaurants. Our suite at the Duquesa was on the top floor. The suite was two levels, with a dressing room/closet and bathroom on the lower level and the bedroom upstairs. A door from the bedroom led to a private outdoor area with lounge chairs, an outdoor shower, and a table and chairs that overlooked the marina and the sea beyond. It was a beautiful view. The staff was professional and helpful. A very good breakfast buffet was at Duquesa's companion hotel a couple of blocks away.

The stairs between the levels were quite steep and had no handrail. It made middle-of-the-night trips to the bathroom a bit of a challenge.

The front desk staff was very kind, supportive, and helpful - giving us a much needed late check out and helping arrange a car to the airport. We had a family room (for 4 people, 2 parents and 2 teens) and it was utterly awesome - very clean, great layout, spectacular views (we had a corner, harbor facing room), and really a great vibe. The location was super convenient. We did a mix of harbor activities, touring (e.g., Sagrada which was about a 15 minute taxi) but great food, shopping, and walking right out the door! We loved the Duquesa and would stay there again without a doubt! The rooftop was spectacular.

That we didn't stay longer.

I loved how quiet the whole property was. Plenty of other guests but never heard anyone in the rooms. The two front desk attendants were so friendly and spectacular I wish I could have spent more time with them. Anna and Daniel always greeted and made sure everything was functional in the room and our trip. They shared so much excitement about our travel that it felt as if they were along for the adventure. Both had made sure our itinerary was correct and that we also had the right tickets along with the means for transportation to the places.

If I were to be picky, the floor on the shower might be a slipping hazard. Just flat and smooth but I never had a problem except for wishing I could have that size of bathroom back home.

Spacious room with high ceilings, waterfront balcony and well-equipped kitchenette with large moka pot, microwave, spacious undercounter fridge, kitchen sink, 2 burner electric cooktop, toaster, electric kettle and pots, pans, dinnerware. Room divides into two via sliding door to create a dressing room or extra cot/room for a child. Brilliant and enthusiastic staff. Meticulous housekeeping. We enjoyed the free welcome cava on the sister hotel's rooftop a few doors down. And oh, Cervantes lived NEXT DOOR on No. 2 - see exhibit on ground lobby of sister hotel (Hotel Duquesa de Cardona)!

Shower fixtures are fiddly modern type and very stiff to turn - had to grab it with towel to turn as modern knob has no traction at all. Shower floor tiles are slippery when wet. Privacy sheer curtains have been removed leaving only blackout drapes so we could not let in sunlight from balcony. As of Feb 2024, construction zones surround the hotel due to some municipal sewer or gaspipe project. This is a very lively and noisy tourist zone.
