My room was great for the most part. The bed was very comfortable, the TV worked well, and the minibar kept things nice and cold. The reception staff was very helpful and always super friendly. I had a teeny tiny window, providing precious little light into the room, but there was nonetheless a nice view of part of the cathedral that was nicely lit up at night, and the room was quiet so I was able to sleep without being disturbed. Breakfast was great, with lots of foods and beverages to choose from.

The shower had virtually no water pressure, making showering quite the challenge. The safety deposit box was very awkward to access, since it was located on the floor, inside, and at the back of, the closet, and it was also bolted to the floor!

Beautiful hotel, a converted palacio, very centrally placed in the historic heart of Salamanca. The staff were excellent with every member of the team looking to help with anything needed. We had a junior suite which was in a small modern development in the rear courtyard. It was a two-storey unit with a sitting room downstairs and bedroom and very large bathroom upstairs. Everything was clean and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was great with a very good choice, and again very helpful staff.

There was nothing we could fault. I suppose the only thing that could have been different would have been if the restaurant was open in the evening, but there are lots of places around so that wasn't an issue.

The real strength of this hotel was its stunning central location with views over the San Esteban Monastery. There was a nice terrace outside with beautiful evening views. The staff were exceptional, from the reception where we received a warm welcome to the woman who cleaned the room. The room (junior suite) was spacious and comfortable. Would stay again.

It was difficult to get service in the bar and we frequently had to look round for someone and call through to the room behind the bar. The public areas (although grand) were a little soulless. Breakfast was functional and in a fairly small room below the bar. There was a wedding on the Saturday which dominated the public areas.

We reserved the room just 1 hour before arriving. It is a BEAUTIFUL hotel within walking distance of many of the old city's attractions. We felt very safe walking in the neighbourhood at night. The front desk staff was so welcoming! The greatest surprise was to open our room's window for some fresh evening air. To our amazement, a breathtaking view of the cathedral was before our eyes. See photo below! That was room 317 by the way.

There was no ramp for our luggage in the front of the hotel; however, that was not a problem because the front desk staff carried our luggage for us. There was accessibility in the rear of the building.

The hotel was exceptional. It was clean,staff wonderful, secure parking and dog friendly.Breakfast was also very good. Location was very good in order to explore Salamanca. We had a very upsetting time when one of our dogs escaped and was away for 2 nights. The staff at the hotel were wonderful and understanding. They contacted the police and other agencies. Our dog was rescued by the police and firemen. All the staff were elated at the outcome. Only mentioning it to show the care taken at the hotel. If you are visiting Salamanca stay here. Many thanks.

We love this hotel! We were quite ill shortly after arriving and needed to extend our stay an additional day and the hotel staff graciously made it happen even though they were full. The valet also put bottled water in our car! The hotel is beautiful, the staff is charming and multi-lingual and the junior suite is very comfortable and a bargain for the price. I also loved the selection of pillows and the unscented bedding and towels. We look forward to returning another time.

We selected a room with a view and well it was exactly as promoted, right in front of the street with a nice view to the cathedral, the hotel is perfectly located close to main streets but far enough to avoid non desired noise. The breakfast is nice and it has valet parking, super convenient for road trip travelers like us.

It's a colonial hotel and it has enhancements however to be right in the front of the street represents a bit of traffic noise but nothing to blame them about.

Wonderful hotel in perhaps the best location in Salamanca. Across the street from the Convent of San Esteban and an easy stroll to the historic city centre. Comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Appreciated the car valet parking.

The only problem was the toilet in our junior suite which was set in an alcove so tight that anyone of average height or taller has to sit on it sideways! It is extraordinary how they got this so wrong in such a great hotel.

We recently spent two nights at the NH Collection Salamanca Palacio de Castellanos and were very happy with our stay. This is a charming hotel that makes use of a 15th century palace with service and room quality that live up to the NH Collection standards. Reservation was made through booking.com. Confirmation was received through email instantly. We were very well received upon arrival by friendly check-in staff. There is valet parking along the street just in front of the hotel, underground parking available (€20 per night) as well as luggage storage for early arrivals and those with late departures. You'll find is a large lobby and common area as well as an outside terrace area just outside the property. There is a hotel restaurant available. The property is located in the heart of the Historic Centre of Salamanca with World Heritage attractions and other historic places for sightseeing in all directions. There are parks, shopping as well as plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and bars nearby as well. You can pretty much walk everywhere from this location. We had a suite during this stay at NH Collection which included a downstairs seating room with nice sofa, fridge, espresso machine, kettle, TV and work desk as well as an upstairs bedroom and bathroom, both of which were spacious. Importantly, the bed was super comfortable, affording great sleep. Bathroom toiletries and hair dryer were available, shower water pressure just fine. Lastly, house cleaning during our stay was just fine.

Parking space was a bit challenging for medium sized SUV, departing early we had to exit the underground car park on our own as no valet available at 6am. It was a bit challenging but doable. Just something to think about for those driving and planning very early departure.

Location near Catedral, building, staff efficiency and helpfulness, large modern bathroom with what I needed., ability for late check out made possible. Menu a bit small with few local foods, but main meal was good (chicken, rice, salad). Taxi arrived to hotel quickly, not easy in Salamanca. Answers to my emails were quick before and when using printing service, and after. Lobby lovely with water available, renovated building. Room air was comfortable and quiet as I shut off conditioner at night to sleep, opened window, with no street noise at back...a big plus as at many hotels sleepimg w noisy or stale air or street noise is an isse.

Bed was harder than I like, room was compact so hard to open my suitcase =) but it had a closet and large bathroom, adequate bed for 1 small person, so 1 or 2 days is fine. Price for breakfast was a little high for what was offered, similar to Plaza Major and the rising costs of food in any case. It seemed internet signal was a bit weak if I compare to next hotel (using Whatsapp). Restaurant was closed but small cafe menu to eat on nice terrasa or in bar and main dish, generous. Not really with local foods I wanted to eat...that I can recall. I had to work so needed to stay in room, amd eat there but all restaurants are nearby for tourists who have time =).
