The location is about 10 minutes by car from the center / main streets, but really not an issue, as there are plenty of parking garages. And if you feel like walking, you can get there in about 45 minutes (depending on how fast you walk.) The hotel has private parking (which is nice) and it is 5 or 6 floors so not TOO big. Rooms were a nice size and clean. Bathrooms were also clean and there were ample amount of towels. The hotel also offers a breakfast, which has a little bit of everything.

The only thing I wish they had onsite was a coffee maker to make espresso or cappuchino or just more coffee options.

Ane is exceptional… she gave a really warm welcome, was really informative and helpful with logistics. In my decades of travel, she is one of the best hospitality professionals ever. I’m very grateful for her great directions and advice on using the bus, negotiating areas closed to traffic, etc. A superstar. The hotel is very clean and located in an authentic neighborhood near many good cider houses, if you want to go deeper than the usual tourist route. I have health issues and needed taxis in a city without Uber and the staff were all very quick to call taxis for us. I’m very grateful for this hotel being pet-friendly. I want to return to the Basque area and will consider this local chain.

The price is high for a location a bus ride away from tourism areas. The gentleman who checked me out was very aggressive about me paying for my breakfast. I understood they had taken a deposit out of my credit card for charges… were the breakfasts these charges? I repeatedly tried to ask this question but was unsuccessful because he kept interrupting me to repeat “You pay for the breakfasts.” Maybe he was having an off day? It was hard to be patient when they cut off my card access an hour before checkout, complicating packing my car. Lastly, the garage is insane - you have to WALK out of your car to CALL reception to open this enormous gate … if you don’t RUN back to your car the gate will swing and HIT your car.

Although they had some large pillows on the bed, there was a thinner one in the closet for those of us who prefer that type. The size of the room and the bathroom were large, with a good desk for those of us traveling for work. Moreover, the staff was very friendly and helpfull all the time.

they didn´t have a bar service for dinner, so you have to go out if you want to have some food, even a simple sandwich. Regarding the breakfast, it was fine but a bit more variety would have been appreciated. I would have liked to have some muesli with natural yogurt or some baked beans fro instance.

Breakfast was excellent - a very good selection - my only criticism would be that the scrambled eggs and the bacon could have been warmer. The location was excellent and the underground parking felt safe and secure - the lift went all the way from the rooms, reception, bar area, down to the car park. All the staff with whom I came into contact were friendly and professional. The price was comparable and possibly even lower than some of the big chain 2 star hotels. Excellent value for money.

Some of the furniture was a little chipped and worn, some of the carpets were fraying - if nothing is done in a couple of years this hotel will be described as shabby chic - not there yet but these things need regular attention!

The staff were fantastic. We would arrive a little late as we were driving from Madrid. They were very calm and nice when helping us how to get into the garage. The level of their professionalism and attention to client wellbeing, exceeds expectations, specially at almost midnight!! Very friendly, and very helpful. Good way to start our long driving trip accross europe. Pillows, were very cumfy. The only negative, not a double bed but two beds together, not the most romantic, but, honestly.. this is a minute thing as the rest was good.

The breakfast selection was not ... Great but it was ok. Great coffee though!!

Clean, comfortable and good value for money

Our door wasn’t working properly, and so when we would leave the room or even when we’re inside the door can be opened easily from outside which poses a security risk. When we informed the staff she just inserted the key multiple times and banged the door and said there you go. The solution didnt last long when we woke up in the morning the door was once again easily opened from outside, definitely didn’t feel safe and the room should’ve been changed but we only stayed for one night

Hotel was lovely, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Most of the staff were delightful.

There are not tea or coffee facilities in the room, but there is a machine in the bar. Despite the implication on Booking.com that drinks are complimentary, they tried to charge us €2 for every cup of tea we had from the bar. Some of the staff aren't very knowledgeable and are a little arrogant, others are lovely. The hotel is quite far from the city, but the No.5 bus stops outside the hotel and is regular and cheap.

The room with a balcony was extremely roomy and comfortable. The bed was comfortable also. The onsite parking was great. We used buses ,the number 5 & 25 to get to the beach and old town areas. The stop is just outside the hotel. It was so easy. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location for easy access to either the beach or town. I certainly highly recommend Hotel Antik.

Just a small thing really, the bar/ restaurant didn't stay open for very long in the evening. Not a major problem.
