Clean, nice room and good bathroom. Delicious and abundant breakfast. Comfortable and big bed, good bath amenities.

So, if aspiring to be a good hotel, the coffee weirdness needs to stop. A decent hotel has a kettle in the room, some instant coffee and some tea. Or, free quality coffee at reception. Going downstairs to pay 1.5 euros to get bad coffee in a paper cup is like in a student dormitory. Also, one paper cup in a room for 2 persons - weird. How much would an additional paper cup cost so we don't need to drink water from the bottle? Or God forbid glasses?

We had stayed in another Casual Hotel in Valencia and were very happy with the chain so wanted to try one in San Sebastian and the Casual de las Olas did not disappoint in any way. We had a lovely twin room at the front of the hotel but the soundproofing was brilliant so there was no traffic noise at all. The room itself was huge and very well appointed and all the staff we came into contact with were so helpful. The location of the hotel was brilliant. The transport links from the hotel to the Old Town and other parts of the city were so convenient. If we were to pay another visit to San Sebastian we would definitely stay at this hotel.

Nothing.

The room was huge, the bed was huge with a selection of both soft and hard pillows, and it was provided with everything a traveller could possibly need. The Euskotren station is 10 minutes away max on foot and there are bars and cafes and food shops just around the corner from the hotel. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in San Sebastián.

This isn’t really a criticism because we knew it was a 20 minute walk into town before we booked it. It didn’t take us even 20 minutes - and the number 38 bus seems to go past every few minutes - but if you aren’t very mobile, you would probably prefer to be closer in

Awesome design. Impeccably clean. Complete quality breakfast. Helpful staff. Great facilities in the room (toiletries, extra pillows and duvets, water bottles etc.) Location isn't very central but at least it's not that crowded and it's a nice walk along the river to get to the old town. There's also great fast easy bus connection if you don't feel like walking. Underground parking option facilitated by the hotel 20eur/day, absolutely recommended as it's impossible to park anywhere in the city basically. Huge room, so much space.

No free parking options but that's San Sebastian thing. Rooms bathroom design was really weird, when taking the shower, the whole floor was wet making it a huge pond up untill the door and it wouldn't dry for hours, so when you entered to use the toilet or wash hands, you'd walk through the water.

the room was a good size with a large comfy bed. breakfast had range of options. it wasn't too far into old town to walk and the bus was right outside as an alternative when it was really hot. overall, very good value for the price.

our aircon stopped working for 24 hours and made it hard to sleep that night. the extractor was broken, which wasnt a big deal but also wasnt ideal. the bathroom was quite open and the shower with glass doors faced the bedroom door, which meant no one could leave the room when one of us was showering without entirely exposing them!

The hotel was very central and the lobby was manned 24/7 with advice (and refreshments) available in good English. They had a discount deal with a parking Garage nearby, which is adequate for cars and small vans - maximum height of 2.7m on the upper level needs the help from the staff to succeed, and length should not exceed 5.5m. Super practical! And the hotel itself!!! by far the best bed ever, firm and large. Blanket so big that it felt like two separate ones. Spacious shower with plenty of hot water on good pressure. Lots of well thought details to make your stay just a little more comfortable in every way. Super friendly staff made our stay pleasant and happy.

Helpful staff, good breakfast selection, excellent shower and well designed and tastefully decorated room. Bus stops just outside the hotel (5 mins to Maria Christina bridge or 10 mins to Ondarreta), quiet despite being close to big roads (suspect it's much noisier to stay in the Old Town area).

No kettle in room (but we knew that and brought our own), night bus/taxis are hard to find downtown (not hotel's fault and in the summer it's a pleasant stroll back).

Breakfast was really nice, bread and pastries were fresh and you could find nice toppings, jams and cheese. I also ate some yoghurt with nuts and granola. Coffee and juices were nice too. I liked the surf theme decorations in the hotel. We came by car and parked in the underground parking next to the hotel, that was a good choice since it seems quite difficult to find free parking spots.

The hotel was fully booked so I feel like you could see it here and there in small things. I was asking for a surf theme room but it was not possible.

As it was a bit out of the centre it was really nice to have breakfast in the hotel. Food was good and there was lots of choice! Room was very spacious, beds were comfy and clean. About a 15 min walk to the nearest beach and 25 from the old town - which was pleasant. It was a nice touch to be able to hire an umbrella for €10 as it was a bit rainy during our stay. Staff were friendly!

There is no dividing door to separate the shower which might put some people off.

Room size, coffee machine, bed size, bathroom amenities, good tv set, lot of stores, restaurants and bus stops nearby.

The check-in process, room was not ready on time because of too many checkouts (should be expecting a lot of work beforehand), bed/pillow not so comfortable, water kettle and tea would be nice, location can be bit far from the old city/beaches. Too much noise early in the morning by the cleaning staff (this should be a place to rest)
