The property itself was amazing. The hotel and all its facilities were great. Very clean and my room was lovely.

The female member of staff at reception on the morning shift was shocking. I had come from doing a stretch I’d the Camino a few days earlier. She saw me carrying a backpack and instantly looked at me with utter distain. She twice asked if I was sure I was staying here!!! Yes. I am. Her appalling attitude was repeated the next morning when I checked out. Disgusting attitude

Location and views simply unbelievable. Decor of the hotel is beautiful.

Staff were hard to find which was a shame. Both the desk and the bar. Twice we walked away from the bar after a long wait and no one around. Hotel was quiet I guess but guests still had needs.

The World Class panoramic views from the summit (181m) of Monte Igueldo, just west of San Sebastián, makes you feel like a circling hawk staring down over the vast panorama of the Bahía de la Concha and the surrounding coastline and mountains.

Stunning location, so first impression was fantastic, but things immediately went downhill! We waited 2 hours in reception (3-5pm) to get into our room! No complimentary drinks or anyone communicating with us. Once at hotel you are isolated on top of a magnificent hill top but Hotel Service was perfunctory and drinks & meals expensive for ordinary food fair. Hotel needs to employ more staff to service customers, the few that are there are doing their very best, running around chasing their tails, but they can’t do all the jobs themselves. Senior Management needs to help them! San Sebastián is noted for its fantastic Michelin Star restaurants……..this is not one of them. Suggest you book a taxi and head downhill off into the beautiful Basque city of Donostia.

Location: On Monte Igueldo with the most stunning view from the hotel bar/restaurant and pool areas. The pool area was really lovely. It was easy to get into town: we took the funicular railway down and walked along the front to the beach and old town in the day, and took a taxi for 15 Euros to old town in the evening. Good breakfast.

The check in stated from 15.00 but our room (and others) were not ready and they couldnt give us a time. I eventually got the room at 18.00. I did ask for a complimentary drink and a key to the pool, which they gave us but did not offer. Given that it is a 4* hotel and they cleaned our room before 1pm every day we stayed, they should have done more to get rooms ready for check in.

The pool area on the roof is amazing and was great for relaxing on the day and half we had of no rain. The views from the lounge and bar area are stunning and nice to sit and relax in. Once we found the hotel it was very easy to park and it was free.

If you don't like to walk and have a fairly good level of fitness (this is not the hotel for you) The train/cable car from the hotel to the bottom of the ravine, had limited hours of service, so its a 20 min hike down to the bottom and then another 20 mins walk into the old town of San Seb. We did get the bus back up, but as it was very dark we missed our stop, had to loop back down again and had to walk 1.5km up hill back to the hotel. The bus stop is still a walk, so better off getting a taxi. I think most of the people staying at this hotel were on coach tours so they were being picked up etc

View and family room in 2 rooms next to each other with common dior. Very expensive but delicious breafast.

We arrived at 4pm, check in from 3 pm. We were told that it is "possible" from 3 which does not mean it will be and the rooms are not ready. We were not the only ones to hear that which was a bit of a joke. It ruined iur plan for the afternoon as we had to stick around and wait for the rooms. We have been offered the entrance to the pool- again not funny as with no rooms where were we to change? Not comfortable at all. Plus for parking and views, minus for rooms not ready and 100 euro for breakfast for 2 adults 2 kids - altough nice, not worth the price

Hotel has a wonderful view of San Sebastián. We were fortunate to have a corner room (125) which had probably the best view. Free parking. Large room with comfortable bed.

The funicular railway stops running after 2130. This is really the only way back to your hotel unless you want to get a taxi which is near on impossible. It’s the trade off I guess for the view. As is often the case we had an elephant in stiletto shoes in the room above us arrive at 2350. The noise between the rooms was surprisingly poor. It was very expensive at E295 per room per night without breakfast and we thought a continental breakfast would have made it better value.

Spectacular location overlooking San Sebastián and the sea. Hotel doesn’t look great from the outside but inside it is gorgeous.,Beautifully decorated and stunning pool location truly wow. Our room was on a corner and had wonderful sunset and sunrise views. Funicular connects to the beach and taxis seemed plentiful in town too. San Sebastián beach was lovely although pretty crowded. Pintos bars an experience!

Nothing not to like although there is a fun fair oddly situated around the hotel. Check in was a bit slow and even though rooms were ready at 2pm we were not allowed to check in until 3pm when a queue had formed which seemed avoidable. Pool closed at 8pm, 10pm would have been better!

What a great view and we had the best room with a corner double aspect of the bay and the sea. Comfy bed and pillows. Very clean. No balcony but we really enjoyed the views from our bed! Windows opened wide. Great sunrise Room 225 The sunset from the bar area was equally great! Great rooftop pool with 360 degrees views (seasonal)We were there last week in September. Free parking,no charge at barrier when showing room key or reservation. Funicular running down to San Sebastián in 7min, from 11am-8pm with reduced rate for hotel guests. Easy access to the beach and beach promenade. Very quiet at night, we could hear the waves when window was open.
