I really appreciated how quiet the room was despite how central the location is. It was really easy to get a good night's sleep. Comfortable bed and decent shower as well. The staff were also really nice and the location of the hostel is very ideal for anyone wanting to stay in and around the city centre.

There was no full partition/door between the bathroom and the room itself, although there is a glass wall behind the shower which kind of acts as such (not the worst thing in the world as it was a single room, but it did feel a bit strange for me)

The location is INCREDIBLE! Right in the heart of Chueca so close to some great bars and restaurants. The place was exceptionally clean. Cannot speak highly enough about the location. Cute little rooms, was happy that we ended up with a bathroom in our room. Water pressure was very good too. Great hot water. Our rooms were made up pretty much every day too. We really enjoyed our stay at hostal la fontana

Location is great! Most of the sights are max 15 minute walk away. The room is as expected and seen in the pictures, clean. It is small, but enough for one person. Toilet is nice and clean too. Hotel is on the 1st floor and the building has an elevator which is very useful when you have a suitcase. Staff is really nice! They recommended me where to eat and recommendation was great! Also, after check out they let me leave the suitcase at reception and they looked out for it. My flight was in the evening so this helped me a lot to use the rest of the day in Madrid.

Even with a ceiling fan it could get warm in the room, but I knew this when I booked the room so it is as expected.

The best location, literally a minute walk from Gran Via and all the shops were really close. Despite the location I didn’t find the room to be noisy. The staff was very friendly and everything from check-in to check-out went really smoothly. The bathroom and room were very clean. Very simple room but definitely worth the price.

The location is excellent. The place is extremely clean. I was impressed by how clean the room was. It was much better than some brand name hotels I have stayed over the years. The staff is very polite and helpful; they are professional, attentive and caring.

The use of keys with room number on them made feel unsafe. The fact that they do not use card acess was a big turn off for me.

Very convenient walking distance to all the major sights, very comfortable room too. Also very short distance to some great brunch spots on the same road

The only issue was how difficult it was using the door key to get into the property upstairs, thankfully there is someone there at all hours

It’s close to the metro, the bars/restaurants. The staff is super friendly, and the rooms were clean.

It’s very noise, I had a very loud snoring neighbour and couldn’t sleep because of this. I informed the reception and the were so friendly to change my room for the next night.

Although the rooms were small, they were designed very useful and comfortable. Bathroom-toilet cleanliness, towel and linen cleanliness were excellent, the employees were very polite, explanatory and helpful. Location was very close to main places, near the Gran Via street

Location was excellent just a block off of Gran Via. Close to the Metro. The hotel was in a very old building and had fun decoration and lots of character. Check in was easy. Staff was very nice.

Taking into account that this is a very old building and hasn't be totally remodelled (which I prefer because I like the look of the old building) the bathroom was very small, but at least there was a private bathroom.

Localization is perfect, in the center of the city, close for almost every place to visit and in front of Gran Via Station, one of the most important station of Madrid. There are a lot of option to eat around the hostel, and the staff was very friendly and proactive in help me.

The walls is very thin, it is important to bring a hearing protection, because you would hear your neighbor snoring. The wifi didn't work well in my room, I bought internet so it wasn't a big problem at all.
