Perfect location right in the centre where it's all happening. Nice room with small balcony looking out to the street and main square.

Very noisy, even with windows shut and as with all hotels, could hear adjacent room noises. Finding room not so easy as the accommodation spreads over 3 sections of the same block. I.e there were 3 entrances from the street but only 2 could be accessed by ringing the bell so it was a long walk (up to the 5th floor, then down to 3rd floor by walking through a few corridors ) However, there was a lift.

This accomodation is located right next to Puerta del Sol, in the heart of Madrid's city center. The location is ideal. If you are driving, you will need to park at a parking garage about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. During off-hours, like evenings and weekends, the key to the garage may be obtained from Hostal Victoria III (there are three chains of this hotel, they are all connected). You'll need to provide a deposit of 20€ to get the key to the garage. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. This sounds cliche, but I really mean it. For example, I went down to ask one attendant about where to find a good ATM to withdraw cash. She was rather busy in the moment, but turned to her computer to research. I told her not to worry about it and left, but she called back to the room a few minutes later with a list of three banks that have low ATM fees and high exchange rates. Wow. We ended up having to extend our stay due to one of our group having a medical issue. They were able to get us rooms for the remainder of our stay. Diana, Ivana and Tiho were all very helpful and kind. We truly enjoyed our stay because of them. Next time we come to Madrid, we will definitely choose this hotel again, as long as it's available.

Excellent location, view from 4th floor on illuminated Sol. Room 402 with easy access by lift. Wide 130cm bed for this single room. Sun in room at daytime. Colder in evening and nights but airco heats up when needed. Good bed and hot shower (in bath). Small refrigerator for self bought food and drinks. Metro Sol at 50 mtr, Plza Mayor at 200 m. Such a good room and location for the money.

With normal neighbors guests the stay is excellent. With neighbors who set the tv loud or who come home loud talking and laughing, the rumors can be annoying. I had luckely easy going guests next to me.

The location was excellent right in front of Plaza del Sol and right on a main strip and the middle of Madrid shopping zone. The staff was very helpful. The place was very very clean. Their wifi was fast and the air conditioner and fridge helped to keep our water cool. They had a small little table and safe in the unit. The security made you feel safe and was monitored 24hrs a day via cameras at the front door and all floors. They had a solid bathroom door that helped with privacy.

Minor thing for us as a couple was that we could not sleep in the same bed since they were 2 single beds set apart. The view from the 1 window was to the interior of the building. Not a huge deal.

LIke a lot of guests remarked, the room and bathroom were small, but they had everything one needed. The location was incredibly convenient for the sight-seeing we did those two days, and the price extremely attractive.

We booked the room because they claimed they had an AC - but it turned out to be 'under maintenance'. I feel that could and should have been clearly announced in the Booking.com reservation page. Luckily the extreme cold in Madrid had just ended a few days earlier, and the extreme summer heat hadn't started yet.

Room looks lovely, it gives you that old European feel, with a small balcony in city centre, you really feel like being there. It was clean and comfy. WiFi was fluctuating, mostly ok but sometimes was slow.

Forget this place if you are not strong healthy person as the access is not the easiest. I got back problems and my wife is not strong enough to carry both our luggage and this place is... complicated - it has partial lift access but you need to use stairs at some point. Sound proof is not the greatest, if you're a light sleeper it will be a problem for you as this part of the city never sleeps and you'll hear the noise outside. I was OK with that but someone might need this info.

My issue is regarding that no sign board it displayed outside on the building that the hotel is located here. It took me a long time to find the hotel. The booking said checking will be at Victoria 1, but in fact all the check in is on the 2nd floor of Victoria 2. this is very important point particularly the reception is behind the closed door and needs to be opened

At first I didn’t like the location of my room but when I get used to it, it gets easier. I didn’t get much cooler from air condition it’s only blowing fan, but when I slightly open the window it helps.

Less than a minute walk away from Sol. It’s right smack in the shopping area and is close to places like Chueca. The room is cleaned everyday. The single room is amazing for solo travellers - tiny, but cosy. Shampoo and soap provided (no toothpaste and toothbrush). The hostel is right beside a pizza shop that opens till late and McDonald’s is right around the corner about 2 mins walk away. The receptionist was very helpful, too.

There’s no door sign to indicate that you don’t want the room to be cleaned, so it might be invasive and annoying when you come back to your room to find that some of your things have been moved. No kettle to make your own coffee/tea. You can hear noises from the surrounding apartments because the hostel shares the same space as a residential area. Also, some cockroaches come out at night. Mostly tiny ones, but it’s weird since the room is cleaned daily. The stairs are old and creaky, and some steps look like they’re going to fall apart anytime soon.

It was very clean and they cleaned your room every day. The location was so convenient, a few steps away from the train or metro station. A few steps away was also a convenience store, open 24hrs.

Room can be a bit small.
