A friendly, comfortable, old-style hotel in a quiet location. Perfectly located to explore Nerja's town centre (less than 10 minutes by foot), which has a great range of excellent bars, cafes, restaurants and boutique-style shops. Fantastic views of the beach from the balcony of our room and the hotel gardens, which were very well maintained. Access to the beach via a private staircase. Breakfast was fresh with a good range of food available, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Live "sundowner" music on a couple of evenings too from our Swedish hosts was a nice touch and added to the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel was also a good base from which to explore some of the lovely villages just inland in the surrounding hills.

This didn't impact our stay at all, and therefore is more for awareness - there are quite a few stairs and steps to negotiate within the hotel, which comprises a series of linked buildings. Also, while there is on-site parking available at 20 Euros/day, this cannot be reserved (contrary to the information in the booking details). There is alternate safe, free parking down by the beach, which is a 2-minute walk up the private hotel stairs or a 5-minute walk up moderately steep footpath. Details on how to find the off-site parking provided by the Hotel were detailed and totally accurate.

The location is excellent. There are stairs to the beach (quite a steep descent). Absolutely perfect for us (family of four, children 5 and 8 years old). Everything was very very clean including the beds which is the most important. The breakfast is excellent. The pools and the outdoor area are very nice with stunning views of the shoreline! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The day we arrived our accommodation was clean hours before and it was no problem whatsoever to get in already. The big family room/penthouse is gorgeous with the best views we ever had.

Feels a bit outdated here and there and their maintenance does a horrible job improvising all the fixes to the extent that I saw a door fixed with cardboard 🤣.

A small well run hotel in a lovely position with great sea views. Excellent breakfasts. Nice roof terrace above our room. Everything looked very tidy.

Unfortunately my partner who is not that tall and a little unsteady on her feet found the climb up and into (and out of) the jacuzzi type bath too difficult to manage and there was no separate hot shower. The rooms are decorated in a style that wouldn't be up to many people's tastes - very dated. Burriana beach is "ok" but we found the shops / bars / restaurants down there pretty tacky with zero spending by the local Council on any recent improvements - despite the massive tourism income the town benefits from. Not the hotel's fault at all. Nerja main town is far nicer.

The view and access to the beach is amazing. Breakfast is good, but doesn't stand out. The pool is nice for a quick dip.

Since we we're travelling with a dog we left her often for some time in the room. This meant the time the room could be cleaned was limited. But the hotel was also not very helpful in this regard. Over the 5 nights we were there the room was not cleaned once. Even though we would be out of the room till 14:00 with our dog some days, and even asked specifically to do it while we had breakfast, but that was not possible because "they had so many rooms to clean".

The location of this hotel is top notch and amazing. We had the villa and had a beautiful patio with a sofa and chairs. The view was absolutely amazing and the gate to walk down to the beach was right by our patio. The breakfast was excellent and had plenty of options (eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, cheeses, meats etc.). The beach is beautiful and we were able to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for 12 euros. There is a restaurant that has people come out to take food and drink orders when you are sitting in the rented chairs which was really nice to have that service. Towels are available from the front dest for the lounge chairs. The hotel is a very short walk to where all the restaurants and shops start in the town, maybe 5 minutes and then a few more min to the Balcony of Europe. The town is much bigger than i expected with so many shops and restaurants. Also, we parked through the hotel but there is a parking lot that is just a 3 minute walk away. people were very friendly at the front desk.

You have to step up some steps to get into the tub which has a shower. It felt a little unsafe getting out, if you slipped you would get hurt. The hair dryer is very old and not very powerful. Also the villa is a bit dated.

Cliff top position meant fabulous views. Very comfy bed and efficient AirCon. Rooms were sparkling clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was reasonable & filling. A lovely stroll to the old town and Balcon d’Europe of an evening.

The bathroom is very dated - the steps up into the jacuzzi bath tub are slippery & tricky when you’re wet. No shower really, just a hand held hose attachment. The swimming pool was still closed (as reviewed here back in Nov 23) we were disappointed with that - even more so with the builders on site renovating it. Some of the terrace areas by the steps down to the beach were grubby and not being maintained - such a shame.

Fantastic view, generally really quiet. Big clean room, comfortable bed. Great location for beach and walking into Nerja. Jacuzzi bath was lovely. Great cleaning service, friendly staff. View for breakfast was also lovely. Lovely outside loungers.

The stairs in the room were dangerous - my husband cut his head going upstairs as there is a very low ceiling and no warning. There was no shower in the bathroom- just hand held in the bath. The jacuzzi bath was great but really difficult to reach the taps to fill it/switch off taps and difficult to get in and out of. Very wasteful of water. The air conditioning was a bit noisy. The pool and outdoor hot tub is closed till June. Breakfast ok - nice fruit - but cooked breakfast is cold and the yogurt and cereal selection wasnt great.

Wonderful, beautiful place to stay, with great staff and location. The breakfast spread was superb, and sitting outside on the terrace having your breakfast was wonderful. The very nice woman at reception parked our car using the car elevator and that was a bonus for sure. She also had great restaurant recommendations. Our room was huge and the bathtub as well. I wish we could have stayed longer. Unfortunately the pool was under repair.

The pool was under repair unfortunately, hence not giving a ten rating. And for me, with age and arthritis in the hip, I found the bed (twins pushed together) to be quite hard and not comfortable. My husband found the bed to be fine though.

Location is stunning on a clifftop with private access to the public beach. Our room had a garden view which was OK. Breakfast was good but not outstanding as hot food choices were restricted and not replenished very quickly. At least we could sit outside at a table with our pet dog unlike many so-called pet friendly hotels. The swimming pool was drained and was in the process of being re=tiled, we did not know this in advance.

There was a terrible smell from the bathroom drains worse on a morning when windows had been closed. clearly not a new problem. Dogs were not allowed on any local beaches

Location couldn't be better. Right above the beach with steps down and just a few minutes walk into the town center. Breakfast had everything you'd expect, hot and cold. Many options. The lady who ran the breakfast most of the days we were there was so friendly and very attentive. Lovely peaceful place. Only 18 rooms and privacy is pretty much guaranteed. Pet friendly and the dogs were so well behaved at breakfast, friendly and always under control. A neighbor's cat also visited daily and I made great friends with her. We stayed in the villa suite which was spacious and had beautiful Spanish wood furniture and doors. Really could be a grand and impressive suite with a little more focus on the layout, furniture and interior design.

Some of the facilities are in need of repair or TLC. The pool was closed for maintenance, the bubble bath in the room was broken. There are quite a lot of steps in the grounds and many of these and the outdoor tiles were broken or cracked/unstable. As I was with my 82 year old Mum, it was something that caused me concern and I felt the need to hang on tight to her in case of trips. The bathroom below reception needs some safety notices and lighting that properly indicates the unexpected step at the main door. It's a bit of a safety concern. I believe the owners are making changes for maintenance when closed over Christmas so I hope some of these are attended to.
