This hotel is a gem. Such a beautiful location with it's rooftop views and pool.

Sadly, this year the quality of the rooftop bar was nowhere near the level of last year. Very little staff and the warm dishes were disappointing.

Great location!! Right on the water and right in the middle of all the action. Most of the shops and restaurants that aren't right outside the door are just a short walk away. Roof-top bar is spectacular!

Roof-top bar was not open for sunset. I was glad I had an ocean -view room. Nightly entertainment was quite loud and directly below my balcony. It was nice to listen to but no one is going to bed early.

The breakfast was exceptional—so varied and complete that I highly recommend opting for it, as it’s truly worth it. The rooms were fully equipped with all amenities, and although the view was from the side of the building rather than directly facing the beach, the terrace was cozy and perfect for enjoying the morning breeze. The rooftop pool was heated, offering incredible views. The staff was very friendly, especially the housekeepers, who ensured the room was immaculate every day. If we go back to Puerto de la Cruz we will repeat in the same hotel with no doubts :)

Fantastic location, right on the main promenade (this was a plus, considering we had a newborn and needed to go in and out the hotel for baby meals and other needs). Staff very nice and welcoming - special mention to Martin at the reception. Great view from the room and fantastic swimming pool and sun desk on the roof top.

The bed was so uncomfortable - I could feel every spring of the mattress in my back.. sleeping was awful.. The bathroom door was very hard to close/open and very noisy. Having a newborn in the baby, everytime I needed to go to the bathroom I risked to wake her up. Also, the vent in the bathroom was the noisiest ever.. Coffee at the rooftop bar was really bad (unbelievable how Nescafe can taste good or bad based on how it is prepared - I drink it at home and it is fine..) We didn't like breakfast - it is fine for German/British standards, but I wouldn't recommend it to Italians..

We've been coming to Puerto de La Cruz for nearly two decades now and this time we wanted to bring an elderly relative whose mobility isn't great. We usually self cater away from the centre but the Vallemar was perfect for her. I'd highly recommend it for anyone worried about bringing an elderly person.

I was disappointed with the buffet. We had used full board in Puerto de la Cruz before and the range was usually a lot better, whereas the Vallemar had a very pork orientated offering. The pancakes were good though but missed more fresh veg.

The hotel is beautiful, our room had lateral views of the sea. The room was spacious and airy, nicely decorated, small balcony on the side. Breakfast is absolutelly excellent, good selection and service. The rooftop swimming pool is worth visiting. Nice staff.

In the room, the beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The hotel is right on the promenade, lots of bars with very loud music. The hotel also has a nice large side terrace with sun lounges and beds-which is always empty, as the very loud music from the nearby bar makes it impossible to relax.

Location great, pool wonderful, breakfast ample. The staff were friendly and advised us on some local festivities we wouldn't have known about otherwise. It's located right in front of the large pool complex, and a block away from the train to the Loro Parque. The parking was extra and very tight, but better than trying to find parking on the street.

Very nice and clean. Very clean. Some of the rooms are probably a little noisy. I stayed in a room with ocean view and beside the shows that ends at 11 pm, we can heard some noises from others rooms.

You can reach at hotel very easily by walking, but with the car is a little complicated. You have a street near by to bring the car, unload the luggage and the go in other place to find parking.

It was absolutely wonderful . Staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff was friendly, courteous, helpful and a joy to be around. Food was exceptional with a wide variety. Roof top pool was just the best . We loved it so much that we are already booked for next August and cannot wait

The position of the hotel, the breakfast, the view and the pool view was amazing,

No Cava in the room was a disappointment. We we a party of 5 with two rooms and were given a voucher for free drinks for 3 people ( a bit tight I thought) charged for using the safe for one night! And the pool closing at 6pm was far too early when the sun doesn't set till 7 30pm. The attendant was so enthusiastic to get people out for 6pm everyone was trying to dry as they were being herded like sheep out of the pool area to drip water all over the lifts and hotel. Plus no signs to say it closed at 6pm so was a shock to everyone swimming.
