Very beautiful hotel and a nice pool

Second time we stayed here on way to airport. Receptionist was much more approachable and helpful this time. Arranged our transport and a good breakfast for an early departure. Rooms were clean with good facilities.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience! The rooftop restaurant is perfectly located, offering great views and a relaxing ambiance. The coffee was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A special mention to Geeth at reception—he was so kind and always smiling. He went above and beyond to help me find some great places to visit in Sri Lanka. Every time I visited the reception area, I was warmly welcomed, making me feel truly at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with exceptional hospitality!

The staff could have converse in English. No restaurant, no breakfast & no room service.

I have stayed here numerous times over the years and I've always liked the location mostly and also the wonderful service of the staff members. The rooms are really spacious and nice and cool with excellent air. Particularly with all the power cuts going on up to 6 hours a day this was an oasis for me. There is a fridge in the room, an interesting view of the growing city buildings, a desk and chair to use. There is a tray of tea and coffee along with condiments. The bathroom has a bidet and a wonderful shower with hot water that always works. Excellent supply of towels and hand towels. Housekeeping only on request.

•The backing up of water in the bathroom sink is seriously annoying. I had the same in 2020 and in 2022 it hasn't been fixed. I didn't even bother alerting them because they already know and don't want to fix it. •Nothing in the hotel to eat, the restaurant on the 6th floor has been under construction for years. No breakfast or any other food either. Really a big drawback not to have food. •The owners vehicles are parked in the driveway and makes it very inconvenient for guests when they come to disembark or embark. The vehicles cannot be brought in. •There was a dearth of personal items, shampoo was never refilled despite asking for them 3 times. The soap is a very stingy supply as well. One lotion, shampoo, soap for the entire stay of 5 days never refilled again.

The staff are good, friendly and professional, available at any time. Place is clean and decent.

When the hotel was attacked by protestors and things were broken, hotel staff and managers were not responsible enough to put guests in another safe hotel and we all had to find our way out of the city, while it is moral and business responsibility.

The room was excellent size for 3 persons. The view was amazing with lot of windows and a balcony. The room was clean and spacious, bathroom was clean, good running hot water AC worked very well. Rooftop lounge is excellent with great view of the city with Lotus tower Location is excellent, I walked upto Fort station doing some sight seeing, Gangaramaya temple is closeby and Gall Face too. Happy to come back

I recently stayed at City Hotel Colombo 02, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel at home. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with very comfortable mattresses and beds that ensured a great night’s sleep. A special mention to the front office team – they were exceptionally nice and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Overall, a great stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Colombo!

Almost everything is great! It's a really good place to stay here.

The toilet was not clean when we came. The water from the shower goes off to the whole part of the bathroom if you use it longer then 4-5 minutes.
