Parawa house is located in a close proximity to all major streets in the fort zone. The house was renevated and offers a comfortable staying. The personnel was the best, all work very well. The breakfast was more of Sri Lankan offers with hoppers, eggs, fruits and fuit juice. Our room was on the first level, not so spacious but the bed was big, king size.

I think as many mentioned there is a smell of humidity in the room. Since I have asthma, they made sure that the room gets enough air but with this much rain and humiditiy, and location inside the fort walls it might be a little tricky to fix it.

Looks exactly like the photos! Excellent Sri Lankan breakfast - delicious, especially the pancakes and fruit juice - served at a large volume to last a while, which is perfect if you plan on sightseeing for the rest of the day. Aesthetic interior designing, furniture and colour scheme. Friendly and professional staff, always attentive and welcoming. Room is spacious, with plenty of rack and wardrobe space. Large and comfortable four-poster beds. Walking distance to all locations within the Galle Fort, and a 25 minute walk to the train and bus station.

The Wi-Fi was slow at times.

Just a step away from the Main Street and the fort ramparts, the location can not be beaten. It is a beautiful old villa that has been made very comfortable with also a very warm welcome from Sunitha and her team.Breakfast is as you order it and it was delicious. Some of the best fruit I had in Sri Lanka. The bed was really comfy and the AC worked well. Water pressure gave long hot showers. Everything you could want from a boutique stay was delivered here in spades. I would definitely visit again!

The wifi signal is a little weak. But then maybe the point is to disconnect from your phone and enjoy being in a truly lovely place.

Samitha the manager was very helpful and very informative about the fort and it's surrounds . Staff ,very attentive and hard working. Room was lovely and clean. In the heart of galle fort ,but very peaceful. Breakfast was amazing, especially the string hoppers,also fresh jucies, fruits,pancakes, eggs, tea,and coffee.Something different everyday. Set you up for the day. Beds comfy. Decor pretty.

This adorable and beautifully coloured location is the perfect location to stay if you want to spend time in Galle Fort. The quality for price value is great and it is beautifully decorated. The inner courtyard reminded us of a Dutch “herenhuis” in Amsterdam. The location in a side street makes it calm from the hustle and bustle yet close to everything. The staff is friendly and attentive and helpful with recommendations. Note: a lot of reviews mention bad WiFi. This is now fixed and was one of the strongest and most stable connections we had on the island.

The cons come with old locations in monumental areas. To experience an historic atmosphere you trade in well insulated rooms a hotel may have so if your neighbours come home later than you you hear them. In addition, an occasional cockroach and gecko came to visit. But after being in Sri Lanka for a while we learned how to tie the mosquito net so they didn’t bother us when we slept. The hotel is extremely clean and they do their best to keep it bug free. This problem cannot be avoided in old buildings in a tropical place. You will find them everywhere in Galle Fort so I still highly recommend this place.

We loved staying at the property. Although our booked room wasn’t available because of renovations, they kindly gave us a lovely better room with a great view over the sea. Breakfast was delicious and samitha did everything in her power to help us. Suggesting good places to eat, arranging the laundry as well as booking a tuktuk to get us to the station at an early time. We loved staying here and we cannot wait to come back.

Amazing small hotel in a quiet side street but within easy walking distance to all the places of interest in Galle Fort. Recently renovated with large comfortable rooms and modern bathrooms. The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank you to Samitha, Savindi and the team for making us feel so welcome. A must stay place in Galle.

Absolutely nothing.

The location of the property was exceptional, everything was clean and sooo comfortable, that if I’d get w chance I would definitely be back. The staff was also wonderful

Even if delicious, I think breakfast was a bit of a let down- maybe you’d consider giving a breakfast selection to people to choose from the night before, especially those with food intolerances would feel like they are not imposing as much

Overall a lovely stay! Amazing location, very central in the main area of the town but perfectly situated down a quiet side street. Amazingly friendly staff and a really lovely breakfast!

The room cleanliness could be improved (thick dust on the mosquito net and marks on white towels). Terribly squeaky bed that woke us every time we turned and wifi that did not work.

Fantastic location on a quiet lane within the fort. Walking distance to everything. My two children loved the upstairs beds. The staff were accommodating and breakfast was good. We especially liked/ preferred the Sri Lankan special breakfast we had!

For the cost per night, we felt the property could have a refresh and elevate itself. Mould in the bathroom and broken fixtures, lightbulbs not working, old towels and a sad looking fish pond in the courtyard. Overall fine, but the finer details lacking. The wifi was very weak in our room too.
