This is a small, but well run hotel. Before our arrival we received messages / emails from the management asking if we had any special requests that would make our stay more comfortable. I was impressed by their efficiency and this was a good indication of how well this hotel is run. We were met on arrival with a choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and cold face cloths. The room and public areas were all very clean and well kept. We stayed during low season so the menu in the restaurant was limited but they were happy to provide meals not on the menu on request. ( subject to availability obviously) The first cup of tea or coffee of the day is complimentary and the staff will happily bring this to your room at any time you request. Breakfast can be taken at any time convenient to you. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful, it’s almost like staying with friends! Special thanks to Bharatvir for arranging all our day trips and for the river safari recommendation- it was wonderful!

Unfortunately we mistakenly believed from the description on Booking.Com that the hotel was on the beach and near the centre of Galle. It was neither - it faces the sea but there is no beach and only a very small sunbathing area alongside the pool. There was no-where in the vicinity to walk to in the evening but it was only a 10 minute tuk-tuk ride into Galle Forte area where there are good restaurants and shops. Approximate cost of this was 2000 Sri Lankan rupees ( approx 5 USD).

The property itself is really beautiful with nice decor and many places to sit. The pool was nice but in the shade so quite cool. The room was very large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. We were the only people at the whole property so it felt a bit empty and it is a bit out of town - ten minute trip to Galle but we had already stayed in Galle and just stayed here for one night to enjoy the hotel. There are nice views to the ocean etc but one cannot really walk to it from the property easily. The food menu was a bit limited but understandable considering it is a small hotel, and unfortunately when we were there the cook was ill so they got a local person to cook and the food was fine, just limited choices. The prices of alcohol were reasonable for this type of hotel. Overall it's a very nice hotel in terms of decor and the building, but there is so much competition in the area of other hotels that score highly on food, location and decor.

There are a lot of mosquitos at night in the outside area even when wearing full length clothing and using mosquito coils, but it was fine in the room.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We had excellent time in hotel and all our family felt warm and welcomed in the hotel. The extra services(Spa and driver) were also excellent. We enjoyed the driver service This service is worry free and worth for the money. Driver guided us to sights and we experienced more of Sri Lanka with his help.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The hotel was stunning, every corner was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. The staff were brilliant and could not do enough to help us. Our room was beautiful as well, with all of the smaller details considered. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. We would have loved another day or two, we felt so relaxed and the children loved the pool which felt so tropical with all the trees and flowers surrounding it. Breakfast was fantastic, a great choice and the tastiest pancakes! We would not hesitate to stay again, or try out another Postcard hotel. It really was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in, we especially loved the fact that it was small and we get like it was our own villa. Thank for a brilliant time.

The beautiful property was beautifully finished and extremely clean, with high ceilings and spacious rooms. The pool was also very lovely to cool off in. But what made it was the incredible staff. Bharatvir and his team were very attentive and made us feel so comfortable during our stay. He even ensured we had breakfast sandwiches to take on our early morning train when we left! It was such a wonderful experience to stay here

power outlet in bathroom missing, no mirror in room, so getting your hair done a bit difficult 😅

The people working in the hotel were the most welcoming and engaging I have ever encountered. There was a genuine care and interest. Super good service and nice talks with all the staff. The hotel was super nice and the food menu amazing.

There is no beach at the hotel. The garden is so amazing but it hides the magnificent sunset.

Staff were brilliant. Very friendly and accommodating. Food was incredible - thanks to the chefs. The whole ambience of the hotel was just excellent and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Once you enter the property all the noise vanishes, the heat dissipates under the cover of the lush vegetation and an almost dream like scenery of calm consideration takes over and you in.

You‘re not advised to swim in the lagoon and the beach is quite far away. The pool was lovely though.

Could provide list of surrounding activities ; also pool was very nice, water was just OK at the time we were there (could be more clear). Watch out with spicy food ! Could tune up the piano ! Watch out for mosquitos !
