Beach, location, food and staff

it couod just be a bit cleaner especially the bathroom. The bins were quite dirty

Staff is friendly, attentive and polite - restaurant staff Saman and Rukmal were exceptional. Amazing selection of breakfast items, which changed everyday - they even make fresh peni appam (honey hoppers) and have kola kanda. Pool area clean, staff present to help with sun loungers and to assist with moving them around to escape the noon sun. Marvellous access to beach, were you can relax and also go on a katamaran ride (run by a local company).

Bit dated. They need to spruce it up back to the old days. Need to check rooms for mosquitoes as we found a few inside and had to get rid of them ourselves. Would recommend to have mosquito repellent (plug-in) and to pop some naturally repelling plants around the establishment.

Breakfast had a lot of variety. Honestly, wasn't expecting such a good breakfast at this property. Also the view of beach and sea were superb from the breakfast area. Had a feeling as if we were dining on the beach. Restaurant food was good. Had some snacks and food in the room from the restaurant. The staff overall was very hospitable. They upgraded our rooms right at the time of check-in without any request. Also offered 15% off on Spa services. Deluxe room with sea view and bathroom were very comfortable.

Corridors were not very clean and were giving an old and neglected vibes. Mosquitoes were there inside the room and in the Corridors.

Loved the location, beach and pool all in one. The food is great, friendly dogs around, a bustling market place just outside the hotel. Lots of things to do! Really a vibe. The room was spacious and air conditioned. The bathroom was big as well. Ironing board in the wardrobe. The views are amazing! All beachfront to my knowledge. We had our toddler with us and there was lots to keep her busy instead of cooped up in the room. There were also shops that sold swimming equipment and floaties within a 2-3 mins walking distance from the hotel (incase you came unprepared, like us)

Some of the staff was a little rigid. The bathroom was very poorly lit, would have loved some brighter lights. And due to the hotel being beach front there was a lot of wear and tear visible on the walls and the room has to be aired out otherwise a smell builds up. There was dust in almost every corner. The staff isn't cleaning thoroughly. Over all these were very small issues and did not cause any major inconvenience but if worked on could really get the room in better shape. Also, all the sockets are 3-pin plug ins. If you ask the reception they will give you an extension plug but best to go prepared.

Loved the location, the rooms and the ambience. Bed was comfortable, the pools were great, the spa on the premise was a great find and the steam room a real treat. Recommend to take a beach stroll at night and to survey the stars!

The TV wasn't smart which would have been great to sync up and play some tunes. Our bathroom door broke when we came in and one of our members stuck for a short duration. I mention this as a positive as the staff worked diligently to get it rectified and was apologetic and acted in the best manner. Kudos to the team!

Beautiful hotel with two swimming pools right on the beach! They gave us a free room upgrade and the balcony overlook the beach, and huge rooms!

At dinner the waiters was a little overbearing. We were in off season and so there weren't that many tourists around, so it felt a little like they were hovering around us while we ate. However there was a confusion over the bill which was sorted with no issue which we were really grateful for! Additionally, the wall the bathroom was a had glass wall, which was pretty cool for the shower/bath ect to see out, but this also included the toilet which was a bit wierd!

Absolutely fabulous location with a restaurant with exceptionally good food right on the beach. Nice to be away from the hubbub of Colombo watching the sunset over the ocean in the west. The spa was also great very much enjoyed my massage. Staff very friendly and helpful and even provided a complimentary birthday cake for one of our group, which was delicious

Because our rooms were at the far end of the wing. Our Wi-Fi was very weak however staff did provide a booster on request which helped. A fan and screens on the balcony would be a great addition, so that you didn’t have to sleep with the air conditioning on.

The price was good, the service was excellent. We left an I-pad in a Tuk Tuk And the front office staff were very concerned and helpful in tracing the driver and arranging another Tuk Tuk driver to take us to the location of ick Up. We found the driver who returned the valuable I-Pad. The breakfast offerings were excellent and varied.

The crab curry we ordered was poor in quality. Webtlivh this to the attention of the manager who rebrtdrdf the charge.

The hotel is a little tired, but the staff are the best! So welcoming, attentive and really try to make your holiday a great experience. Food was delicious. Spa has the best view ever and the staff are truly dedicated to pampering you. Directly on the beach with amazing sunset views.

The rooms are a little tired, it was very quiet but not many sunchairs so would be difficult when hotel is full.

My family and I liked the overall staff presence and demeanor. Friendly and reliable as well as very supportive. The buffet menus were excellent and did exceed our expectations.

Unsure and we did try to find something wrong we would be nitpicking. Welldone on all stands however we did get charged LKR 300 for one coconut which I believe was excessive however I did pay due to the ongoing issues with the financial track of the country. We came here with the idea to support the locals and the economy as well, just saying that somethings can be regulated better in terms of pricing. Only eyebrow raining moment and apart from that the stay was excellent.
