Helpful staff, fantastic breakfast and great location.

I got stuck in the elevator, twice! I got help and only spent 20-30 min each time.

This is at the moment my favorite hotel in Sweden. The price is reasonable (Sweden is very expensive), the building historical and beautiful, the room reasonably-sized with a great view, and decorated in a simple and very nice way. Good bed with wonderful linen, good table and chairs, small bathroom that has everything you need. And it is very clean! something very hard to find in Sweden where the hygiene standards are very low. The breakfast is also very nice with a couple of cool details (like the machine for pressing your orange juice). The wifi works too. We will come back, what a nice place.

The fact that the hotel has a 24 hr reception was very helpful given our flight into Sweden only arrived in at midnight. We were so hugely grateful for the understanding and patience shown by the reception staff when our credit card payment gave issues as we were checking in in the very early hours of the morning! Our beautiful restored room was a delightful reminder of what staying in the Grand Hotell Hörnan would have been like over the last century that the hotel has been in existence, and the lounge and dining room have also both been exquisitely renovated, showcasing the elegance of a bygone era. All this, plus very easy access to centrum made for a perfect introduction to our stay in Uppsala.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cosy and charming Grad Hotel Hörnan. Our room was very cute, comfortable, very clean, well equipped and we had the nicest view on the river and the cathedral. The room was on the smaller side but charming and we didn't mind at all. We enjoyed the historical vibe of the building and also liked that it was warm and cosy as it was cold outside. Breakfast was great, the staff very friendly and helpful, our bed very comfortable. We highly recommend.

Nothing negative! It is worth mentioning that parking at the private parking space of the hotel costs extra and depends on avalability. You can reserve a spot beforehand. We found the rate to be fair and got a spot which was great. There is regular paid parking on the street, too, so this is also an option.

It's real old style and it's a HOTEL. Unlike the big brand accommodation, which no longer resemble hotels. It's Clean, Comfortable, and Conveniently located. (So it meets my 3C approach to accommodation). Breakfast was nice and the breakfast room was beautiful. I'd recommend Grand Hornan to anyone and I'd stay there again.

Bathroom is a bit small, clean and they supply all toiletries.

Very central place in the city, near to many restaurants and parks, our windows were facing the river, which was nice and quiet. The personal was very friendly at all times and helped us to pick up breakfast take away, as we needed to leave early. We liked that we could park the car at the facility too. Overall, a nice place to stay.

A bit small bathroom and weird narrow placement of the toilette. It was very hot in the room, as there is no AC, and we did not want to open windows. The room TV was randomly turning on during the night, so we had to go up and physically unplug it.

Stunning balcony view and lovely setting. The staff team were helpful, engaging and ensured everything was just right. The cocktails were imaginative and delicious. I enjoy entertaining some friends at the delightful outside tables. The breakfast spread was fresh, delicious and diverse.

Honestly, I have no complaints. It was a really good stay and I would come back again in a heartbeat.

This Hotel in the middle of Uppsala ticked most of my boxes for what i look in for a hotel. The combination of a late 1800´s arcitecture (witch i love) and a central location i was pleased whit all i got. Nice comfy room that were modern but pulled off that "old feel" was perfect, staf was nice and helpfull and i realy enjoyed my stay

i hapend to have a courtyard facing room and the only down side to this was the steal loading ramp for hotel deliveries at ground level that 6 am in the morning had something roled on them, but hey i guess free wakeupcall?

I got a room which had a specific odour which I associate with cigarette smoke. It is strange because all rooms are non-smoking, but the smell would not disappear even if the windows were left open. The hotel was full so I was not offered another room. Fortunately, I could swap with my companions. Otherwise, I would be very disappointed at this place.

We loved the atmosphere and location. While the rooms were very comfortable and clean - we loved the pillows and choice of bedding material, which was very smooth - especially the character of the hotel, the designs in the lobby, lounge and bedrooms was very pleasing. we also loved the break fast buffet, nice choices, especially the healthy smoothies and healthy ginger and lemon shots. Its those extra things that stand out. the staff was also extremely friendly in a natural way, it made us feel very special and welcome.
