Central location, easy to get anywhere on foot. Excellent room service, even drinks brought up to our room. Pet friendly hotel, close by to a park for morning/evening relief. Friendly staff (especially Aristotelis, who is the nicest person we have ever met). Room cleaning twice a day, we certainly did not expect that. Valet parking, they took care of our bags and car needs. Actually nice food, hotels aren't this good usually.

The main entrance rotating door is a bit too small, and our dog was afraid of it. No allowed to dine on the terrace with our dog (even in a corner not to disturb anyone). The junior suite would benefit from having two toilets, one individual and one in the main bathroom.

The view from this hotel is beyond amazing! My stay was exceptional - the room was ready for me early, very clean and tidy. The binoculars in the room were a lovely touch. The staff were all friendly and efficient - they helped me organise a last minute private tour of the city within two hours of my arrival. Loved the lobby and had a perfectly mixed Bloody Mary at the bar there. The hotel is within easy walking distance of both the city centre and the train station. All in all a great hotel, worth every penny.

The room and the view from the balcony of the room is stunning. It is right in the heart of the city so the perfect location. The food was very good and the cocktails delicious. I liked the modern renovation while keeping the historic charm of the room. Good room size for single traveler. Definitely recommend the breakfast in the terrace outside the breakfast menu is very good and the view on the swiss alps just amazing.

I was told by the concierge the lounge is closed and will not be opened. If I was not getting curious why people were entering in this direction I would not have found out that it was actually "open" and was officially opened also a bit later. So it seems not everyone is treated equally and while some men are allowed to have cigar and drinks me as a woman I was told it was closed... Not a nice experience - it was the 10 minutes I thought I should have chosen an other hotel..

Great location, fantastic staff and beautiful building. We had a room with a fantastic view of the river passing through old Bern.

Breakfast buffet was minimal but still priced over 40+ euros per person (we passed). Room configuration was odd with shower and bidet and big sinks/counter in a completely separate room from toilet and small sink. Very expensive (roughly 750 euros a night). During our stay Bern was celebrating 175 years of their constitution and nearby office buildings plus of course this hotel was open to the public. This meant crowded lobby and lines to even get into our own hotel.

According to the room descriptions all room have bidet and we have 2 room which didn’t have . The first rooms view was looking at the wall , however they upgraded us to a Mountain View Room . We requested in the booking for a high floor and landed in the first floor, they even didn’t respond to our request

This was our last 3 days of an eight week trip and so I decided to 'splash out' and stay at a nice hotel. The hotel itself is quite grand and is very conveniently located. The concierge and doormen were very helpful with all of our bags and sorting out parking for our car. As we arrived a little early we could not directly check in to our room so we had some tea while we waited for our room to be ready. The room itself was a standard double room with a nice view over part of Bern. In fact we kept the window open during most of our stay preferring the fresh air. When we checked out the valet helping us with our bags and our car was extremely accommodating and very helpful in helping us load the car.

Not much except that during our stay a politician from Brussels was visiting and this seem to distract the staff at reception somewhat.

The location is fabulous. Very impressive from inside the lobby and outside the hotel. The staff of the reception in the room service were great.

The decoration of the room was very old and not in a good way. It was clean but staffing. When I first enter the room had smell of dust. Like the room wasn't ventilated for a long time.

Reception / housekeeping staff super helpful. I wanted to surprise my husband with a cake & flowers and they did an excellent job of making it happen. We ate at the Hotel Bellevue restaurant once, then went to different restaurants of the same standard the other nights, and can honestly say that all the meals we had were outstanding. We didn’t have breakfast at the Hotel.

There was a bit of confusion over the standard of room that we’d booked / been charged for. We had asked for an upgrade, via Booking.com, a few days before arrival, unfortunately the request didn’t filter through to the Hotel, but one of the staff on the desk had noticed that we’d been charged for a superior room to the one we stayed in, and amended it accordingly before we checked out. So all was in order, just a bit confusing, at one point. Regardless, were very happy with our room 🤩

EVERYTHING! The staff was absolutely kind, professional, generous with their recommendations - and ALL their restaurant recommendations were GREAT! We booked two rooms and BOTH rooms were great with fantastic views! My husband and I have the same birthday and I just love how nice they were! I posted about this hotel on my FB and IG feed. I am also going to miss this place and the hotel. It was only during our 3rd night that I realized that this 150 year old belle epoque architecture hotel is the Swiss government official guesthouse that hosted Winston Churchill, Mikhail Gorbachov, Sofia Loren, etc! YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE! I am going back hopefully next year and I hope they give me the same room! THANK YOU SO MUCH for a wonderful stay!

Excellent location to reach all by foot. Very beautiful view from terrace and room (when faced to the river). Tasty JEEPER rose Champaign and food in restaurant.

Some times long waiting in terrace restaurant, good we had a spare time.
