We chose Post Hardermmannli because of it’s location. It’s in the beautiful section of Interlaken called Unterseen and a 10 min walk from the train station. What we didn’t know was the incredible view from our room. The staff spoke English very well, were extremely friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants, and sight seeing. Don’t miss out on Lauterbrunnen, our hike above it was the highlight of the trip. Our room was super clean and a good size including a balcony with table and chairs to enjoy our view and the hang gliders went right over us from the mountains! The daily breakfast included not only the traditional meats and cheeses but eggs made to order. With the free transportation card provided you can utilize the bus system to see all of Interlaken and the main station is a 10 min walk. There’s also a grocery store close by. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We didn't mind it but I'm not sure if the hotel had an elevator. Those who pack their giant bags might not appreciate that.

The hotel was perfect. Fantastic location about 5 minute walk from Interlaken West. Easy to find too. I had a single room with balcony which had a beautiful view of the mountains. The hotel.was a typical Swiss building, staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The room and hotel extremely clean. The breakfast was lovely. Enough variety for any taste. Rooms very quiet too. During the night it was as though it was soundproofed. I didn't hear any outside noise at all. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and would certainly recommend to friends and family. Very impressed

What a great welcome, unfortunately I didn't manage to get the name of the receptionist but she was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Interlaken West train station and within walking distance of all the great restaurants Interlaken has to offer. You can walk to Interlaken Ost station in c.10 minutes and from there you can take trains up to the mountains. Fantastic views from the rooms at the front of the hotel. Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room. Very nice lady on reception also helped me with the washing machine. You can pay 6 francs to wash your clothes and 6 francs to dry them and there is also an iron and ironing board available. We were given a key to enter the hotel after reception closed.

The ladies in the dining room could take a few lessons from the receptionist, not once were we offered eggs for breakfast even though others were.. Never a smile or good morning, just asked our room number, end of conversation.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience overall, the location is fantastic; everything you need is within easy reach, from restaurants to shops and attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. Breakfast was satisfying, with a good variety of options to start your day off right. Parking is limited on-site, but if those spots are taken, there’s a nearby parking lot about 200 meters away. The best part is that you can park there for free from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m., which is really convenient.

The only downside was that there’s no elevator. For those with heavy luggage or mobility concerns, it might be a bit of a challenge navigating the stairs.

Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Lots of family history and artifacts adorning the premises. Eating area was cozy with fireplace. Staff gladly provided glasses, utensils, and corkscrew for wine and cheese happy hour. Breakfast was great... made to order hot dishes and nice selection of fruits, breads, cheeses, etc. Owner provided personal family info which allowed us to view the traditional decorating and procession of the cows when moving them to lower elevations for the winter...very cool! During a medical emergency, every staff member offered, and owner actually drove me to the hospital ER. Every staff member expressed genuine concern for my well-being during and after the emergency.

No elevator to upper floors, but this was a very minor inconvenience as there are only 3 floors.

The room was super clean and well laid out with places for clothes and bags. The breakfast was exceptional as they made eggs to order in addition to the traditional European breakfast fare. The Unterseen area was a great location - not too far from the Interlaken West bus and train station as well as close to great places to eat. In addition, it was close to the river, and we took advantage of the views it offered by strolling up towards the Harder Kulm funicular/Interlaken Ost train station. Best of all, the staff were friendly and helpful!

I can't think of anything that would have made the stay better.

KIM (a Kiwi) manager is fantastic. She was responsive to my request ahead of time for twin beds and so helpful, charming and chatty on every occasion thereafter. She helped us work out where to go for some walks as the combo of trains, cars, cable cars etc does require a bit of planning. Breakfast was superb and she also let us in early. She also was kind enough to give two girls who were running late a lift to the station!!! Also - location is fantastic - nice and quiet and right next to the beautiful old square and the river is a short walk. The frontage is also wonderful - flowers and traditional Swiss chalet design in wood.

Room was a little small to do yoga in!

The staff was really helpful and nice, simply & easy check-in without any hassle. It is only located about 5 minutes away from the Interlaken West train station. The location is perfect, for those who want to have a quiet time. The Medical Store (Apotheke) and the Grocery Store (Coop) are literally 2-3 minutes away from the Hotel. For those who love to hike, Harder Klum is just around the corner. The Hotel also offers a Special Voucher for travelling in Interlaken which I found nice for those who don't have a Swiss Travel Card (GA). There is also a Laundry room where you can wash your clothes along with the dryer. The night view is absolutely exotic, especially if you go around the back of the Hotel. There is also a very exotic Lebanese Restaurant just near the Coop for those who want to try out something different. The room I was in was on the first floor with a Balcony, the view during the evening was very nice. There is also a Pizzeria on the ground floor. The prices are pretty well & reasonable for the place. All in all I would definitely check this place out again when I visit Interlaken.

Just small gripes here : The curtains should be a bit thicker, they seem to be a bit too thin and a bit see-through. Due to the nature of the building, I could easily hear the voices from the next door & also if someone was walking a floor above.

The property is in a great location in Interlaken West. Only 7 minutes walk to the Interlaken Bus and Rail terminal or a beautiful 24 minute walk along the river from Interlaken OST station. Numerous restaurants cafes nearby and stores. The Mountain views from your own private balcony are worth the stay alone. Nice and quiet location. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming and will try to assist in anyway. The breakfast on offer is a nice way to get the day started but also meet other guests. Washing machine and dryer available on site. Easy access to transportation to the must go locations of Grindelwald, Harder Kulm and Jungfraujoch.

If you are travelling heavy there is no lift on site but always a helping hand from staff or guests.

Inès, the lady on the reception was so helpful and she made us feel like home. She recommended many things to do in the area. The location was very close to the centet. The breakfast was also good. In general the vibes of the hotel are very nice and we would definetely come again.
