This is one of the best accommodation experiences we have stayed ever, even though we have many to choose from. The renovated historic hotel feels also like a swiss home nestled in the mountains. An old fashioned appeal but with all the necessary modern amenities and facilities. Everything was perfect: the view of the mountains (what a wonderful view towards Les Diablerets from the balconies!), the breakfast was amazing, the quite heavenly location  above the village in short distance surrounded by mountains is perfect, the room was clean and spacious. But the best experience was the owner, Mr. Francis, together with his wife: welcoming, friendly and helpful. Thank you for everything, we can’t wait to come back as soon as possible

This hotel is a real gem of Diablerets! Many thanks to Francis for his unrivaled hospitality, thanks to which we felt at home. We were given a tour of the whole hotel, shown around and even given the choice of a room (wow!), it was really great! Very clean and comfortable room with a stunning view from the balcony (see the photos attached, 0 filters! :) ). The hotel has a kitchen where we could make ourselves tea or heat up food at any time. Amazing breakfasts, plenty of choice, everything is great! Francis, once again a big thank you!

Everything worked sufficiently as planned and expected. Though named a "hotel" it was more like guests hosted in a holiday home. The Swiss charm envelopes the property, very comfortable for what it is. Thank you to the property owners, much appreciate your efforts in keeping it up in its current form, considering its long history.

The only aspect is the creaking floor boards - more from the perspective it could annoy fellow guests, in rooms below than impacting us ourselves.

We enjoyed staying at a hotel that doesn’t fit the cookie-cutter mould of hotel chains and that is run by people from the area. We enjoyed our cozy room including the beautiful views from the balcony. The hotel is beautifully maintained and has a down-to-earth charm. The breakfast includes a wide selection of cereal, breads, yoghurt, homemade jam, eggs boiled exactly to your satisfaction, and delicious cheese. We did not have dinner at the restaurant but the menu looked yummy!

This is a unique historic hotel with character and charm in design and atmosphere, a lovely collection of artwork and photographs throughout, a warm welcome and reception room with a fireplace and armchairs and comfortable spacious rooms with plenty of light. I have not stayed in any other place quite like it that achieves old fashioned appeal without feeling either stuffy or worn down. The hotel is perched above the town with a beautiful view; We had the good luck to wake up after a fresh snowfall and the whole valley was sparkling. The owner is kind and also interesting. Overall a memorable stay.

The Hotel du Pillon is the perfect get away! It’s a historic hotel located in a quiet area not far from the town, with an amazing staff. It was such a delight to stay here. It’s dog friendly, cozy, and simply lovely. Great restaurant and the owner personally looks after the guests. Quite a treasure!

I loved everything about the property - and be sure to spend extra time on their extraordinary terrace!

We had an unforgettable vacation! This historic hotel impressed with its wonderful and cozy interior and the warm welcome and sincere care of the hosts. It is radically different from the usual hotels that you forget after a week. I think we will not forget Du Pillon and his exceptional spirit for the rest of our lives!

This is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Francis, the owner and manager personally attended to everyone of our needs. Even though it's a hotel, it feels like your home in the mountains with all the amenities of a modern hotel. If staying in this area, would highly recommend for the personalized care, gorgeous mountain views and serene local setting

It is easy to find by google maps, parking just in front of the hotel. Francis and his wife are great hosts, very welcoming, trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Rooms are simple, but you have everything you need + nice declaration. Amazing view from the balcony and the terrace. No doubt, we will be back again.

Our stay was only for 2 night.

The owners Francis and Michelle went out of their way in making our stay a comfortable and seamless one. We had arrived early before 12 noon, and everything was perfect thereafter till the point of us taking the train to Chamonix. Early check in? Not a problem! Need to go to the nearest bus stop and back? We'll give you a ride. Nothing was a hassle to Francis and his lovely wife who so readily offered us a jar of her delicious homemade tomato verte jam to take home to Singapore - never have I tasted such an amazing jam! It was hospitality at its best (where everything is taken care of from check in) - we felt so welcomed and so comfortable at the hotel that we wished we could have stayed longer. The decor, the furnishings of the hotel were all thoughtfully and tastefully planned and implemented - you have to stay here to experience the coziness and the beauty of it all. While rules were set out in the bedrooms etc, we actually appreciated them as it gave us an idea of the boundaries to be kept. All being said, our family had a great stay and even our teenage girls were impressed and thankful for the hospitality shown in offering us a ride and all. Thank you Francis and Michelle for a memorable stay.

Nothing - it was a perfect stay.
