Very nice location, great area for walking around, very private and picturesque

A guy was cutting the grass for the hotel during breakfast. It was very loud and we couldn't enjoy the food and rushed to get it over with. During checkout I complained about it, but the lady who checked us out had zero interest in this. Also we were buying honey from their shop during checkout, so this was a perfect opportunity to make it up to us, by not charging for it. But they did, so instead of being cared for we felt ignored.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Breakfast was really tasty and served on a terrace with a lake view.

Getting to the hotel without a car is a challenge, google maps doesn’t show the shortcut so we had to call the hotel to explain the way to us. I would suggest the hotel to add some details how to walk to the hotel from the lake. The walk up is very steep and takes ca 25 mins to a person with a good fitness level. However this option should be still explained to guests if they prefer to travel without a car.

The situation of the hotel away from the hussel and bussel of the world, made the stay at the hotel special. The rooms were decorated with a good mix of old world and modern. The garden area was also a good area to relax. The hotel also has a lounge area, which means that you are not resrichted to your room.

The bathroom in our room was very tight.

Our stay was simply marvellous! Morcote is truly beautiful and the Relais is an exquisite little hotel. The design and interior is really well done and it’s even more beautiful than in the pictures. Everybody from the staff was really nice and attentive, especially Alex :) We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Design and ambience is a definite 10. Staff is very welcoming and accommodating, especially like the large living room and other areas outside of our room which we used to relax play games and hang out.

There was construction right outside our window that we were not informed of until we arrived very noisy every afternoon

We cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. The decor and detail are next to none, the staff kind and knowledgeable, and the breakfast was very high quality. We visited Como and would only stay on lake Lugano from here on out. Morcote has a ton of charm and great restaurants, and getting around with public transportation was easy. Highly recommend!!

Loved everything about this magical, small hotel: staff (Andrea and Maria) food, room and public spaces decor, the quiet, the stunning views from our room, and their hotel and farm restaurants. Perfect place.

We loved our stay here, it's such a personal experience and very cozy. The staff are so helpful and welcoming, the rooms and hotel all beautiful.

The Morcote ferry to get to Lugano is actually quite far away by foot.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Pleasant serving staff. Lots of choices.

Directions to the hotel were vague and it was a bit difficult to find. Booking.com could do a better job of how to find the hotel. Signage in the village was a little vague as well. Parking was a down a hill and a 5 minute walk, which is unavoidable, but makes check in and check out a bit energetic!

When we arrived we got a free upgrade to the loft suite! The breakfast was really nice! Weather permitting you can eat outside. Good to know; -The relais is on a hill, so you have beautiful views of the lake. It also means that if you want to go down to the lake; you either have to walk about 20minutes (up/down a steep path) or take the car. -The restaurant that is in the same building as the hotel; is not the hotel restaurant. The hotel restaurant is further up the hill, by car 5-10minutes. -The parking (autosilo) is close by; walking distance, about 150m (also some steps). The hotel can give you vouchers so you can drive in and out whenever you like. You pay the daily rate at the end of your stay at the hotel.
