Hotel concierge and lounge is stylish. Room is modern, clean and well maintained. View from balcony is the majestic Matterhorn. Arm chairs provided in the room and balcony as well, so you can admire the gorgeous view either side. Love it very much Service from concierge is perfect. Hotel is about 10-15 mins walk from Zermatt station. They provide free shuttle to the hotel from the station so it’s hassle free especially with the luggages . Just need to inform hotel when you are coming from Tasch and their response are fast. Anyway there’s no problem walking from the village to the hotel, there are plenty of shops and restaurant to visit along the way Very grateful that hotel staff deco the room for our wed anniversary. As mentioned in my other review, not all hotel made the effort to set the room for their guest. Very much appreciated

Excellent service, excellent staff and very very welcoming people. They upgraded us without even requesting. The rooms were spacious and equipped with the best. The Hot water pool/jacuzzu and spa is amazing and very well maintained. Small play area around the main lobby kept the kids busy and happy all the time. Stayed there for 3 nights and the breakfast was amazing each day. We were vegetarians and they ensured we get the best. One of the finest hotels with nicest people I visited in Europe. Will definitely be back here whenever I travel back to Zermatt.

The view from the Matterhorn view was exceptional once the clouds cleared away, and the room was clean and very spacious. We really enjoyed spending time relaxing on the balcony and the wellness center was enjoyable to have after a long day of hiking and exploring. Breakfast selections were excellent and we enjoyed the special four course dinner provided on Tuesdays. Loved the complimentary shuttle from and to the train station which saved us a lot of walking and hauling our luggage back and forth. Wifi was good quality and didn't lag, staff was exceptionally nice, and we were in a good location near main shopping streets, gondolas, and restaurants.

Wellness pool/spa was a bit on the small side, but we had an evening where we were the only ones there, so it was nice. The second time there was a family with small children and it was too small to accommodate everyone comfortably, so we didn't go. Also a ceiling fan would have been nice in the room since the windows were closed to keep the noise from the birds from keeping us awake. We understand air conditioning is not necessarily needed in Zermatt, but it got stuffy when trying to sleep.

We have just returned to the UK from Zermatt and the experience of the town and the hotel was absolutely outstanding. We found Swiss people incredibly friendly, and of course the mountain scenery is out of this world. All team at the hotel, and Chris in particular, took excellent care of us throughout our stay. They were all super helpful attending to all of our needs. We booked a room with Matterhorn view which was spectacular! The hotel is located only 5 minutes walk from the main shopping and restaurants street, which was very convenient.

Although breakfast was excellent, I would pack some coffee if you are a coffee drinker. Rooms have a kettle, but sadly no tea or coffee is provided. There is a tea station few floors down which we found quite inconvenient, having had to walk few floors down just to make some tea, and then carry it back few floors up. The tea station has no coffee, how strange! Also, the TVs are quite oldschool with no way to link your Netflix account. The live TV signal kept hanging every couple of minutes which we found quite frustrating. Nevertheless it was a great experience and we would deffinitely return to Europe hotel. Although this time we would pack a laptop and some coffee :)

The staff were incredibly hospitable - and I mean everyone! From the shuttle to the front desk, the lobby bar, and the fine dining restaurant, everyone was warm, friendly, and eager to make you feel at home. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and especially well-suited for a family with two young boys. Most other properties will either suggest two separate rooms or a suite, which doesn't work as well. The highlight of our stay, however, was dinner in the fine dining restaurant - Ovis. The tuna teriyaki, in particular, was worthy of all 16 Gault Millau points for the exceptional restraint with which it was prepared. Our compliments to the chef.

My only feedback is that the hotel could do with better signage on the main street. We walked up to the address on Google Maps, but it took us a good five minutes to find the entrance. I think the wooden signboard on the main street said Schwarznasebar?

Great hotel. Not far from the city centre (a 5-7 minutes walk), so not noisy at night. The staff is super friendly, from the reception, to the transfer service (from and to the train station) to the restaurant: everyone is nice and ready to help you during your stay. The restaurant was good, but we only ate there twice so that we could try other restaurants as well. The breakfast buffet was to die for, everything was excellent and the staff, once again, very friendly. There was always a lot of choice and fresh products; we specially loved the passion fruit - so delicious!!! 5* breakfast! Our room was spacious enough and clean, and the balcony just great (gorgeous view of the Matterhorn and sunbathing was also possible when the weather was nice). Only thing, though: we both found the pillows very uncomfortable (too soft, both the little and the big one) and the mattress was so-so. The spa area is a bit small, namely the pool (is not really for swimming, it's just to relax), but it was fine for our needs. Highly recommended!

The hotel is away from the Main Street & was quiet. Our room was extremely clean & we had a perfect view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. Really enjoyed the spa, it was amazing & relaxing. Breakfast was out of this world! By far the best we’ve ever experienced! They had a huge variety to choose from. I was sad to leave & I never say that about any hotel! Can’t wait to visit again in the future!!!

There’s nothing to not like about this property!

A lovely hotel. Amicable staff and fluent in different languages. They pick us up from the train station, and on our last day, they drop us off at the train station. The rooms and bathrooms were big, clean, and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We loved the sheep-shaped soap. We got a corner unit with a view of the Matterhorn. Very nice. We sat on the balcony just, admiring the view. The balcony had privacy. The rooms have big windows. Breakfast was delicious and with a lot of variety to choose from. The common areas were decorated with great details. They offer tea in the afternoons—a great variety of teas. The room is equipped with a mini fridge and a water heater for tea. We used the spa and the different saunas, and they were clean. The restaurant was good. The location is a 7-minute walk from the station, but since they offer pick up and drop off, that wasn’t a problem for us. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and stores but not on a busy street. We will stay there again!

Sometimes we could hear water flowing when the upper room was using the shower. But it wasn't bad.

The room got hot at night and we needed to open the balcony door to cool off. There was no clothes iron in the room. The towel heating rack did not work

We liked that it was the atmosphere was very chilled and family friendly. It is not a family hotel,but very much open for families - some toys and books for childer in the lobby. We got also two baby cots in the room which was highly appreciated.

We liked everything,but what we would like to suggest as an improvement is to provide with a tea bags in the hotel room (the kettle was already there). Moreover, it would be nice for kids to have a stool to wash their hands on their own. But it is rather an extra/ exceptional in hotels, so it does not impact my rating.
