The rooms although small were very comfortable and stylishly put together. The bathroom was ABSOLUTELY amazing, with a really large shower and great lighting. There were plenty of useful and great toiletries available and they were all well displayed. The TV had a plethora of channels, including a few family friendly ones which was great. Upon entering there is an acrylic stand holding a series of pamphlets on the desk with very useful information regarding the hotel, and activities in and around the area. Although we only stayed for one night due to us passing through for transit, I do think tourists would really enjoy this feature. The staff was very kind and helpful and the service at the reception and breakfast were top tier. Lastly, the food was really good and a lot better than what I was expecting. We arrived super late in the evening, and because of this, the restaurant was closed, however they do have 24 hour room service. All the food was great, came shortly after order and tasted AMAZING. This isn't much of a complaint, as much as it is a word of advice, but the room service portions were much larger than we were expecting and because of that we had a bit of food wastage but other than that, it was all great!!

The breakfast buffet options weren't as plentiful as most hotels of a similar calibre, although the food tasted very good. Another thing to keep in mind, is that although it was fairly clean, there were some not so clean corners in our spaces, but nothing you can't ignore for one night. If you plan on staying much longer, then this might be something to keep in mind.

Nice and modern hotel in the city centre. Staff was helpful and always smiling. Room had all comforts and facilities you might need. Clean.

Outdoor pool was nice but had lots of broken tiles around it which should be fixed. It was not possible to open windows in our room. I thought breakfast at the hotel was too expensive for Tanzania so ended up having breakfast at a local cafe which was much better value. The beach shown on photos does not exist anywhere near the hotel (not within walking distance).

Amazing location, incredible staff. In particular, I would like to acknowledge Delfine. She is an excellent ambassabor for the Four Points Marriott hotel and was a tremendous aid in assisting me with a sudden change in my travel plans, so far as accompanying me to the travel agency. She should be commended by the Mariott organization for her dedication in providing sevices beyond what was required and upholding the excellent hospitality standards of the Mariott organization.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a upgrade for the room because of maintenance and the room was very nice, comfortable and clean.

The hotel could accommodate customers who regularly order food in the hotel and leave money in the hotel, in a unique situation and be able to heat up food even if it was not food from the hotel 1 time. We had this service in numerous other good hotels, but unfortunately it is not possible here.

Everything was excellent, and I can confidently state that it is one of my favorite hotels. The hotel's enchantment is primarily found in its service level. The personnel is so professional, friendly, and helpful, making the stay memorable and enjoyable. I wanted also to remark on the exquisite local and international food they offer at the restaurants and how beautiful and pleasant the common areas are. A special thanks to Riddhi who assisted me when I needed it and made my stay at the hotel perfect.

All was good

We visited when they were making large renovations of the hotel. It would have been nice if they had offered a discount of the rooms given the construction work. Luckily we got a newly renovated room which was very nice. Nevertheless, the hotel is in a good area for exploring the town, breakfast was fabulous and gym was sufficient to get an ok workout. The staff was amazing!

I would recommend eating dinner somewhere else other than the hotel. The food did not match the price.

The staff was exceptionally friendly. Easily the most helpful hotel staff I have ever had the pleasure to stay with! I was so grateful for the small plate of fresh fruit I got most days. It was a very nice surprise arriving 4:00 am in the morning after an international flight. The Seafood Restaurant on the 2de floor also had lovely helpful staff (especially Charles) and the food was very well prepared. Lovely fish. My room got upgraded after a day (some engineering issue). I must say the sea view is worth the extra funds.

centrally located. food was amazing! wifi was consistent. decent pool. modern rooms. excellent wait staff. all guest areas were polished and made you feel comfortable.

There was a lot of construction going on on the guest rooms floor. The maids could be heard in long conversations in the hallway. The room doors slammed shut automatically so you know when others entered and left their rooms.

The room was nice, clean and refurbished. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. Bed was super comfy, and I love the shower. I like the fruit plate that I received one day (no clue why, but it was a nice gesture).

The common areas, lobby and pool area a bit outdated. Gym well… I didn’t like the breakfast either, although the selection was oke, but just like nothing was fresh enough. I tried the Seafood restaurant on the second floor, that was also forgettable.

Very very well situated in Dar es Salaam close to the ferry and not far from the airport. I stayed in a comparable hotel in Dar a year ago and much more enjoyed my stay at the Four Points especially for the price. My room is very clean and modern and sleek. I had great interactions with all of the staff from the front desk, to security, and housekeeping. My favorite part was breakfast with lots of great options and very attentive staff. Chef Panjak in particular is very warm and welcoming and made great suggestions. I would definitely book with this hotel again!

Just one small request, consider putting in an ATM in the hotel for those who would prefer to not have to go out to the bank.
