Really loved our stay at Sevi Boutique Hotel. Communication pre-arrival was smooth and the team was extremely helpful! Location is great with beautiful beach, and located very close to Mnemba Island (which you can and should visit - and Sevi Boutique Hotel organizes excursions there with their boat). The Bungalows are large and very nicely decorated, outside area with swing was absolutely a plus! Food was incredible, we had a few meals and all very very good, and we were served fantastically by Salum (which we thank). We had a fantastic time and absolutely reccomend staying here.

This place was even better than expected. Firstly, the property is absolutely beautiful. Tucked away in a little cove on a powdery white sand beach, with all the bungalows surrounded by lush greenery, it truly felt like paradise. Our little bungalow was perfect - clean, spacious, and even had our own private plunge pool and hammock. We always looked forward to our meals as the food was always fresh and never disappointed. The staff were also incredible and really made our stay. Haji was fantastic, welcoming us on our first night and guiding us through our first Swahili dinner. Fabian was lovely and very helpful. He was always around chatting to us and the other guests and assisting if we needed anything (and helped organise our excursion to Mnemba Island). Salum was also wonderful (and very funny!) and made our last night a blast. This is just to name a few who stood out, but everyone who works at SeVi is friendly, kind, and clearly cares about making guests feel welcomed and at home. There are so many hotels and resorts on the island, many of which seem to be heavily commercialized and designed with mass tourism in mind. If you're coming to Zanzibar for a holiday, do yourself a favour and avoid those places and stay here instead. SeVi is the perfect blend of local and luxury and offers everything you could want for a relaxing stay. Will definitely be back!

There was nothing we didn't like about this place. The beach did have some seaweed, but we understood that was common across most beaches that time of year (also, it's just part of nature). Even still, staff raked the beach every morning to ensure guests could enjoy as much as possible. The only real thing I didn't like was that we had to leave!

I am a Traveller, i have been to 30 destinations, but the experience I had at Sevi was the best out of all my experiences. The staff were so so warm and friendly, they felt like family. Big thanks to Petro, Salloum, the assistant manager and all the amazing team. The ambiance is very special, you feel you are in jungle/island. Food taste and varieties (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was so excellent , The chef is outstanding. everyday after each meal I was looking forward to the following meal . I fell I love with the bathroom amenities, the shower gel and shampoo were exceptional.

I understand that the pool is surrounded by nature, but i would appreciate if it was cleaned more , it was covered with flies, i stayed in another hotel in Zanzibaf and pool had very very few flies compared to Sevi.

F&B was simply amazing - very well-designed menu, changing everyday. I LOVED breakfasts - extremely tasty and plenty of options, one could not get bored of them. Amazing nature and landscaping, extremely professional and friendly staff, making you feel at home. Great housekeeping making sure the mosquitos are not biting at night (they were preparing the room every evening). I loved the dinners and the wine selection - kudos to the F&B manager. The airport transportation and the trips were well-organized as well. The quality of sleep and the relaxation we got from the stay is simply amazing.

During the amazing snorkeling trip, would be great to get a bit more guidance and ideas from the tour crew (they were not sure where to take us after the 1st stop). However, the entire trip was pleasant regardless. In terms of the hotel, the only thing that was not fully working was the wifi with 3 devices limit, but the issue was solved by the Team and we got some extra wifi codes.

The hotel gardens and pool areas are beautiful and the rooms very spacious. We came for snorkeling and diving by Mnemba island and for that, the location was perfect. The beach is very pretty as well, although not for swimming. The staff were all very friendly.

It would have been nice to have the option of ordering lunch by the pool. The service in the restaurant around lunch time was a little slow, which takes time out of your day.

Everything, it was amazing. The food is incredible and the installation comfy.

This is not against SeVi because they cannot do anything about it but if you are a light sleeper you might have difficulty sleeping due to the call to prayer from the neighbouring village. Zanzibar is Muslim Island and this is constant "issue" everywhere, therefore sleeping can be 'difficult'.

The entire staff did everything to make our vacation perfect with memories for many years We celebrated 20 years of marriage and the team made sure that we celebrated like on our wedding day with a perfect and invested decoration The management of the place is at a very high level, a place that without a doubt should be rated seven stars 🙂

There is nothing not to love about a place like this. Despite a one-day power outage in the area, the staff did everything to make the stay pleasant

Peaceful garden bungalow hotel directly at the beach with nice pool area and an overall relaxing atmosphere. Very good breakfast and friendly staff that tried to cater for different food intolerances. We highly recommend Pedro from the Restaurant who really showed knowledge and care in this regard. We definitely recommend the Spa treatments as well. It is perfect if you want to calm down for a few days and enjoy the entire boutique hotel vibe. We will come back another time.

While we liked the overall bungalow vibe, the facilities might need an update in the next years. As some other ratings mentioned it: We were not bothered by the fact that the bungalows don’t have windows. Only few mosquitoes and nothing to worry about. Not related to the hotel in general but you need to be aware of the tides at the East Coast.

I absolutely loved the peaceful and quiet location, the white sand, the resort garden and the three pools. The staff is friendly and approachable and always there to respond to any requests.Kissa at the reception was wonderful, but everyone else was great. The spa treatments are also enjoyable and add to the experience. The best thing(and surprise) was the food. I appreciated the set menu for the quality and freshness of the food, the chefs are doing an amazing job. The waiters pay a lot of attention to the guests preferences and remember every detail. The managers are always around also if there is any issue. Overall a great choice, I loved my stay.

I can't say I disliked anything, but a few things to be considered: I travelled in the rainy season and there are a lot of mosquitos. The staff sprays the rooms, but don 't forget a good mosquito repellent(shopping in the area is very limited) Would be great also is the rooms would have more fans for the seating/entrance area,can get a bit stuffy in high humidity.

- [ ] Potential Improvements: Some of the linen/towels should get replaced as old/marked. ‘Evening turn down’ maid always arrived while we were showering for dinner. Plunge pool by roof should get cleaned more often.
