Cozy resort at end of Lamai. Lovely welcome and check in. Staff helpful and friendly throughout stay. Food good and drinks. Salt water pool and enough seats for everyone. Free pool table. Yes, they close the bar at 8pm and no food in evening, but it’s a couple min walk to some local restaurants. You also have some nice stalls and restaurants right next door at Grandfather/grandmother rocks. Couple of small local bars around too. And a 5 min walk to main road and small convenience store. Easy to grab a passing red truck/ songthaew into Lamai proper for 100baht. Rocky beach directly in front of resort but you can still swim there. Just a hop over the rocks to main beach and bars/restaurants
Nothing! Would stay again.

A lovely quiet location, tucked away at the end of Lamai beach, next to the Grandfather/Grandmother rocks. There are rocks directly in front of the hotel on the beach, which means it’s a great place to snorkel, there are loads of lovely fish to see right there. To the left of the rocks is the start of the long Lamai sandy beach so best of both worlds. You can walk along the beach up to central Lamai, and there are bars and restaurants along the way, and places for a massage or water sports too. Breakfast was great. Plates of fresh fruit and ham and cheese are brought to the table, then you can help yourself to cereals, pastries, bread etc, and have a choice of a cooked breakfast too. (Bacon, sausage, omelette etc, or Thai rice/noodles etc) Vegan milks can be provided on request (ask before you arrive so they can be there for your first day) The staff are fantastic, always smiling and anticipating your next need, and Olivier the owner was also around to help with anything. There is a lovely pool surrounded by a variety of sun beds and seats, and the terrace leads right up to the beach. The hotel is only small, and there were always sun beds available to use, and plenty of shady spots. The restaurant has a good selection of tasty food, but closes around 5pm. There is also a restaurant next door at Aura, and you can also use their pool etc if you eat there, very welcoming. We ate a lot at the Pink Orchid, just up the road from the hotel entrance, basic looking, but lovely food (including vegan options) and staff, or walked up the beach to one of restaurants or into Lamai centre itself. The walk to the centre is around 20minutes, but feels longer in the heat, and walking on sand! You can also walk up the main road to get there, which is easier, but not so pleasant, or hop in a taxi. (300 baht) My room was very spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable , air con which worked perfectly, and a great bathroom.
Nothing. Ideal for anyone wanting to stay somewhere quiet away from the main busy areas, but with some restaurants and bars nearby. If you want somewhere busy and loud, it’s probably not for you.

Nice and quiet location, comfortable rooms.Swiimmigpool allows you to spend a good time,if the sea is rough all time,as in my case. Outstanding breakfast and nice cocktails at the bar. But the most interesting and enjoying time in this hotel,it's to be taking care from all Myanmar's staff by breakfast time, housekeeping and at the bar.A big hug to all of them, which they deserve on their own almost the room price, not really cheap.
To improve the payment policy. On the booking.com the hotel said: possible to pay cashless. But the reality it's different. The owner doesn't like when you pay by credit or debit card. He would like to charge you 3% fee, what according RBI laws it's not allowed.Who run the establishment take over the credit card fee, not the customer. He could be from his bank blacklisted, if they will know about this behavior.

The Staff was amazing. So friendly and excellent service. Room was clean, cosy and had nice acsess to everyting. The pool area was clean and realy cool lounge-place to hang out. The fact that they have only 14 rooms did that it was warm and friendly, easy to get new friends. The food in restaurant was fresh, nice and they never was out of enything. This place is the absolutley one of the best places we have been to, and we have been traveling a lot. Its close to the beach, and just a 10 min walk to the busy-places. I will recomand this place to all of you, i promise you will have a good holiday 😍

Absolutely everything! The staff, the manager and every single person around Beluga are so welcoming. The views are stunning and this is truly a slice of paradise. We booked for one night but ended up staying a whole week because we couldn’t leave the place. The food is excellent - Thai and French with the yummiest breakfast and a few star dishes like the tuna tartare and seafood salad. Olivier always shared tasters of local sweets, delish cold cuts and some recommendations of food around the island!
I loved everything!

The sun lounges towards an romantic rocky beach. Excellent swimming and snorkelling. The breakfast is very nice. If you stay more than 5 days it gets a little boring. We stayed 3 weeks and we got 2 new plates for two days. The staff is out of this world. They do anything for their guests.
The island has suffered a lot with COVID19. Specially Lamai Beach. Every second Hotel or Guest House disappeared.. Given back to the nature. Stripped back of everything somebody can use on their own house. With this situation their own people and young travellers have taken over this buildings for parties, loud music and drugs. Chaweng Beach is not that bad. New hotels are build. Super expensive shops open up everywhere. BELUGA BOUTIQUE HOTEL IS NOT AFFECTED A LOT in this situations. There are many French people living in Koh Samui. Beluga Boutique Hotel is not spared from them. There can be many coming to party, wheeling and dealing. They probably helped many hotels to stay alive in the past 2-3 years. We loved all the people who work there and do their best.

Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection. Swimming pool was pleasant and it is nice to use it at any time (with the sensible disclaimer not to make a lot of noise if it is late at night!) Location was very quiet, with a lovely rocky area nearby for great views. The bar and cleaning staff worked really hard to keep the place clean and go out of their way to make your stay nice. Some great restaurants nearby, for a variety of tastes and budgets.
Overall, we just felt this hotel was a bit overpriced, even given that it was on Samui. We stayed at many other hotels over the last month, including another on Samui, and this one, while nice, didn’t feel like great value for money. The breakfast needs a bit more variety for people staying for a longer period. The swimming pool was a little too chlorinated on one occasion. Note that the road out from this hotel is poorly lit and can get flooded. It would be helpful to suggest some activities. We found it a bit strange that there wasn’t any information in the room - it would be easy to provide this (e.g. distances/costs of taxis to nearby beaches, recommended places to eat, interesting places to visit).

The staff are exceptionally friendly. Great location right on the beach
Restaurant is not open for dinner. This is not an issue as there are plenty of food options near by. Just be aware if checking after 5pm.

The location was away from the noisy resorts and had an exclusive feel. Adult only and super friendly staff made us feel like we were the only guests.
Really didn’t have anything, but would suggest the ceramic shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers, although luxury, were dangerous. We broke 2 which smashed on the floor.

Beluga hotel and its staff completely over exceeded our expectations. They were incredibly welcoming and cheerful. Their food was amazing, fresh fruit at breakfast, and their mid-day lunch meals were spectacular. There was no request that went unanswered and the staff were always more than happy to help. Ordering taxi services, and recommending spots around the island to visit. The drinks were prepared with care and always prepared to a standard. The view from our room and hotel was amazing overlooking the ocean. Beluga is a fantastic spot for a couple looking to get away for a quiet holiday. I will 100% be staying at Beluga again in the near future.
