Rummana suite was the best! So spacious, clean, and interiors were beautiful! It’s also just a few steps away from the pool and beach, so that we had a picturesque view all the time. Although quite far from the reception but that’s what you get if you want the pool and beachfront room. Staff were also friendly and easy to communicate with - very responsive to our queries even before the start of the trip. Most responsive in all of the hotels we’ve stayed in. Overall, a memorable trip and definitely a fave!

Fantastic stay. We really enjoyed our 6 nights here. Even for the price which i thought was a little high. However the place was superb. Check in was super efficient, with welcome drinks. Only slight niggle was payment is requested before you see the room. However we were not disappointed. Reception space is nice and big, open plan and with a pond flowing through with huge fish. The pond-ways continue down a jungle style path to the rooms which are all individual chalets/huts. From reception to the beach its probably about 100mtrs but its a lovely calming walk. You would have no idea that you are not too far from a main road. I think the location was great. Our room was well appointed and a great size with a single sofa bed as well as a large double. AC Mini fridge and kettle with tea/coffee. Wifi was not so good. Wifi was better at the beachside restaurant and also in reception. Bathroom was massive with a huge walk in shower with a good shower with decent pressure and hot water. Room was serviced daily and we had fresh towels each day. There's also a small hotel guide with some info in it. Reception also has a tour desk for excursions and bike hire. We hired a scooter down the road for cheaper than 250 THB per day hotel price. Nice touch with complimentary bottled water each day. There's also a phone in the rooms too, if you need reception. There's also a safe in the room, but maybe not bolted down! My favourite was the really well maintained gardens. So peaceful and calming, lovely to walk through and shaded. The restaurant was beach front, we only used it for breakfast which was buffet style with an egg station. There's plenty of fresh fruit breads and pastries. The beach was narrow but nice. Each day the hotel staff cleaned the beach, sweeping rubbish which was great.

Only slight niggle was payment is requested before you see the room. The kettle was not an auto switch off which was annoying. There should have been slippers supplied to go with the bath robes. Safe was not bolted down in the wardrobe. Some of the breakfast items were low quality - bacon and sausages. Tea and coffee was grim.

Absolutely loved our stay @ Rummana. Such a beautiful beachside resort within walking distance to the centre of Lamai, but far enough away to enjoy some tranquility and peace. The resort is set in gorgeous, well designed tropical gardens with fish filled ponds along pathways traversing around private villas. From the moment you walk in, you’re filled with a sense of calm. It’s the wonderful Rummana staff that make this resort truly special. Could not fault the service. Warm welcomes, exceptional hospitality and just genuinely friendly people that make you feel like you’re a part of the family. The individual villas are private, well maintained, clean and super comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. A small, but good selection catering to all tastes. Dinner was delicious for the Thai dishes. We didn’t try the western dishes so cannot comment on these. Cocktails and cold beer are at a competitive price (especially given it’s a resort). An easy beach walk into Lamai if you want to try different restaurants or bars (including some cool bars along the beach). Also found some good Thai restaurants in the local area (within a 5 minute walk of the resort). Tops and 7-11 very close by. Location (for us) was perfect and the resort was a great base to explore Samui. Car and motorbike hire available directly through the resort. Would definitely recommend Rummana to anyone looking for a relaxed ‘home away from home’, right on the beach and close enough to the centre of Lamai without being in the hustle. We loved it!

Great resort with very private "houses", good pool, good size rooms (houses), quality services. You can find some good food shops in near area. Massage shop on the beach, next door resort.

Location: is in far side of Lamai, maybe 20 min walk to the main area of Lamai beach. Water in front of resort have rocks. Breakfast not vary too much in 7 days. Internet not always reliable. No complimentary sport facilities (only some snorkeling kit, not kayaking or SUP)

The rooms are very spacious and clean. Every day they leave you water bottles. We did the laundry service and it was very efficient and good. The staff were always so nice and helpful. The pool is also in good condition and we spent most days out there. We also got a massage and the hotel which was so incredible. Walking distance to some great restaurants and a 7/11 nearby. Staying in a private bungalow was nice for privacy and I would stay again.

Only downside is the beach is not super clean but you find that in most of all ko samui and isn’t the fault of the hotel. Water is nice on a good weather day.

Beautiful hotel complex with a big tropical garden. Very friendly staff who always helpfully gave us information on open questions. We did laundry nearby (off-site) and were given hangers to hang clothes on. The bartender made us the pina colada cocktail with fresh pineapple and served it right inside. Large, nicely furnished rooms. Fresh towels and water every day. Beach towels additionally available free of charge. Good wifi in the whole area. Uncomplicated and cheap motorcycle rental. We enjoyed the stay at the Rummana Resort a lot and would recommend it anytime.

The rooms were cleaned daily, but not thoroughly. Especially in the bathroom and the floor, a better cleaning is desirable. But overall, everything was great.

The hotel was right on the beach. Plenty of sun chairs at the pool. The pool was cleaned daily, as were the beautiful walkways that curved down to the beach. Gardens along this path were beautiful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Furniture and bathroom could be updated. Bathroom was nicely sized. Breakfast was plentiful and the local dishes varied each day. Plus, you could order your eggs as you like them. It's about a 10 minute walk to the busy party of Lamai. With that said, right up the street are great restaurants. All staff working the grounds and the restaurant were friendly and helpful.

When asking for information, the front desk was sales oriented and not very attentive. As we left, the manager offered no farewell or thanks for choosing to stay here.

Delightful, very cared for and relaxing environment. Nice quiet part of Lamai beach walk straight out and see lots of fish swimming around the rock which used to have coral.

We booked a Garden Villa at the Rummana Boutique Resort for 7 days because it offered a SHA certificate. But finally we decided to stay for 3 weeks, because we liked it so much! The room was nicely decorated and well equipped: fridge, hair dryer, kettle to make coffee or tea, safe, beach bag, TV, spacious shower. I would have loved a magnifier mirror in the bathroom and a few hooks, but of course I could manage very well without. We also would have loved to have a second key card, just in case one of us would make a walk on the beach and the other was going to a massage f.e. But we understand that there are guests who might use their second card to keep the AC going even while they're absent, which would be a sin regarding saving energy and taking care of the environment. Air-conditioning worked quickly and flawlessly, WiFi was quite stable. My husband who watched netflix during our stay mentioned some dropouts though. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, special rewards to the breakfast team and the lovely reception lady: We had an issue concerning our flights and she managed to solve our problem (which wasn't her duty whatsoever)!!! About breakfast: Well, we were seeing the efforts in times of Covid restrictions. There were only a few guests present and it is hard to offer vast varieties of food for only a handful of people. Keeping that in mind there is no need to complain about the selection: different styles of bread, cereals, jams, ham, bacon, cheese, salad, freshly cut fruits, juices, croissants, sometimes pain chocolat or french toast, varying dishes like beans, roast potatos or Pad Thai and above all eggs you could order freshly made to meet your personal taste: fried, scrambled, boiled, omlette with cheese and veggies... if somebody tells you he got bored after a week then I wonder what breakfast at home looks like. The restaurant has a nice choice of dishes, Western as well as Thai.

The staff were so attentive and friendly. The traditional style accommodation set in lush well maintained tropical gardens which had little stream/ponds throughout filled with different types of fish which was very calming. Good value for accommodation and on site food & drink ...... we had lunch most days and were never disappointed with the quality and flavours. The location was exactly what we like ....... peaceful with some small local restaurants/bars within easy walking distance but also easy to get to central Lamai and other destinations on the island, just grab a Songathew (tuk tuk van) and enjoy the fun trip.
