breakfast - good pool - nice and cosy room - nice and beautifully decoration. the best part is the reception area, with convenient seat and fridge with goodies like fruits, yogurt, biscuit and unlimited coffee supply....

my room has sewer smear..... hopefully they can fix it. room 234... free bicycle is a feature in this hotel, however need to fix the damage bicycle...

The breakfast buffet is extensive and caters for many different tastes. There's also a "cereal" bar that is available all day for a little snack along with some yogurt, cookies, Thai sweets, coffee and teas. I was upgraded to a suite which was very much appreciated and I enjoyed the private, deep bathtub on my terrace. The suite also had a small kitchen and coffee/tea making equipment--they even provided free water and milk! All of the staff were very nice and welcoming. I enjoyed the sunset on the rooftop with the (small) swimming pool and also used the bikes (they even have helmets!!) early one morning to go see the nearby temple at sunrise with the monks taking alms and chanting. I would stay here again!

The rooftop pool area looks a bit forgotten. They could replace the fake grass and clean it up a bit, but the pool itself is very nice and a great spot to enjoy the mountain views and relax. There was a European couple smoking up on the rooftop pool area despite no smoking signs. That was unfortunate, but the hotel can only do so much if people don't respect the rules.

The breakfast was really good, we loved the assortment and it was well-arranged. We had an early flight out, and the staff was so nice to prepare us a simple breakfast bag, nothing fancy, but the gesture was perfect. The room was spacious enough for 2 people, with a table and long cushioned bench—all very nicely done and the layout was thought through. It is at the back of a busy street, so it was located in a quiet surrounding which was perfect for us. so we could really enjoy the calm and quiet

The rooms and hall are not soundproof, you can hear the other hotel guests going up/down the stairs, and doors slamming. We could hear the footsteps in the other rooms, that is a bit unfortunate.

We loved our stay here. The daily breakfast was so nice and they had different options each day. The room was very comfortable - nice sheets, comfy bed, etc. The rooftop pool was just lovely too. We liked that it was in a tucked away location so it was quiet, yet within easy walking distance to attractions. And the staff were all super helpful, and they actually seem to communicate with each other to meet the needs of their guests (e.g. remembering my sunflower allergy, coordinating a small repair in our room, etc). Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Everything was amazing! The room was just as shown in the photos. A very nicely designed, small hotel with everything you need. The staff is very friendly and professional. They have a lovely swimming pool for relaxing. The bathroom products were fantastic, especially the body lotion. The breakfast was very good, and throughout the day, they offer free snacks and quality tea. On our last day, they gave us a little package of snacks after checkout. They also offer free bicycles, which we used on our first day. Absolutely amazing!

The location is not the best. You need to walk at least 20 minutes to reach the city. They do provide bicycles, but it's not very safe to cycle, so you need to be very careful. If you don’t mind walking a bit, which wasn't a problem for us, the Gategaa is definitely the best

A great location, quiet, yet right on the edge of town. Great staff, clean , large room, comfortable beds, large enclosed shower with good water pressure. The room also had its own kitchen if you wished to cook. The dining and lounge area was in a lovely courtyard setting and the breakfast had a great selection of cereals, bread ,cooked items, all top quality. There was even a laundry to do it yourself. The overall ambience, artwork and decoration of the property was first class boutique. On our next visit to Chiang Mai it will be our only choice.

* Room amenities: The room was well-equipped with everything you could need—iron, robe, flip-flops, plenty of lights, and a fully stocked kitchen with all utensils. * Breakfast: Delicious and satisfying with a good variety. * Facilities: There’s a pool (though we didn’t have time to use it), bicycles for exploring, and a shuttle to the airport at a fair price. * Design: Modern and thoughtfully designed, creating a very comfortable atmosphere.

The only downside was the location and the walk to the hotel, especially at night along a dimly lit street. It’s not far, but it could be better lit for safety.

I stayed a few times whilst in CM in different rooms. The studio deluxe is the same as the studio, just without the bath on the balcony. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds (not hard like most places I stayed) nice bathroom and small kitchen with microwave and stovetop. Good WiFi and tv with Netflix. Complimentary bottle of water every day and free snacks/coffee/ fruit in reception which is a nice touch. Location is hidden away down quiet lane, nearest supermarket and 7-11 about 15 min walk. Old town and local market 25-30 mins walk. Plenty of restaurants along river 10-15 min walk. Lots of walking on busy roads or easy to order Grab to anywhere. I definitely would recommend staying here and I stayed in many places during my two months in CM.

Location of room is vital in my experience. I recommend asking for a room on second or third floor and as far as entrance as possible. There are dogs barking and early morning crowing cockerels at the neighbouring property, not heard if further away.

The breakfast is delicious and has a large variety. The staff are really nice and helpful. The rooms are big and cozy. The whole hotel has a nice vibe and ambience to it.

I thought the rooms could be cleaner. I saw some hairs on the floor from the previous guests all around the room. I also wish the pool stayed open a bit later. The hotel is a bit hidden away from everything. But we got used to it after a while.

Village was in quiet part of the city. Rooms were exceptional, especially the bed mattresses - you sink right in. Swimming Pool at the top was calming and relaxing after a long day out. It has a small shower area as well. Breakfast was outstanding, although the options were limited, it was fulfilling. Staff were very helpful when we had extra friend coming on trip with us. They were willing to put another mattress in our 4 bed stay.

- Only thing that comes to mind is that you cannot park on site, there is a small car park area 1 min walk away from accomodation.
