Location good, near to Old Town and Night Market. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. Nice Swimming Pool which was very refreshing! Room was spacious and very clean and had balcony overlooking the Pool as we requested. Hotel also provided free taxi to Airport on the day we left which was a nice touch.

Not a lot we didn’t like but hotel but we could have done with Fan on the Balcony to make it more pleasant to sit and have coffee etc.. Also maybe a small rack on balcony to hang wet to dry might have handy.

Beautiful!! Amazing how thay have managed to create a small paradise in the center of a town like Chiang Mai, the design and the landscape made me feel like I’m on an island, all of it just a turn away from the main road. The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful beyong my expectations. very nice breakfast Offered free shuttle from and to the airport, and when the car had an accident, they immediately sent another shuttle to pick us up, although we were 200 meters from the terminal. This hotel deserves more than 10 in the overall score, I will definately return.

As expected all staff were so helpful, kind and polite. Made to feel very welcome. We extended our stay so had to move rooms but this couldn’t have been dealt with more efficiently with immediate access to our new room. Complimentary snacks and mini bar soft drinks in all rooms. Lovely selection on offer for breakfast - including vegan options (but I’m quite low maintenance). The best smashed avocado I’ve ever had! The security guy, Doi is adorable and so helpful. Thank you. I’d also like to comment that during our stay extensive works were being done on landscaping the main entrance area. It seems to have been transformed during our stay without us noticing any noise, dust or inconvenience. So well done to those guys too 🤩

Not really a big issue, but we weren’t made aware that we could have requested a takeaway breakfast or that limited breakfast options were actually available from 06:45 instead of the usual 07:00. There was still loads on offer. Most of the day tours have early pick-ups so we took advantage of the early breakfast on days two and three of our stay.

The location of the hotel is right at the entry of the Old City of Chiang Mai. Their family room was spacious and amazing. Extremely clean and the entire staff of the hotel from the front reception, security, room service and dining staff were gracious and always ready to help. The hotel offers free pick-up and drop-off to/from airport during specific hours. The breakfast has got excellent variety of food, incl the yummy mango with sticky rice. The hotel also has a shuttle taxi that can take you the night market in the evening. They have wristband making sessions at 10am in the morning, right next to the pool and is a good way to stay engaged during your stay. A perfect place to relax in the midst if greenery in Chiang Mai

We loved the staff, the pool and our room. The bed was very big and comfortable. The staff is incresibly kind and helpful.

There is no alcohol in the hotel, which is a super important information which was not available to us before booking. Only virgin cocktails and smoothies. Also, the restaurant is closed early in the evening and they are not serving certain foods which were available at the breakfast (e.g.mango sticky rice). They are not serving those smothiees in the evening, too. The internet was super slow, the TV had no international programs and had no smartTV options like allowing us to connect to Netflix.

Still a bit noisy from te street at night, the room was however not close to the street (no double glass in thailand, and it is a very busy street). We booked an extra night in an other room, this was a better and more expensive ‘superior’ room, however the room was at the backside, with a small terrace looking on a parking lot. And the light from the balcony was coming through the bathroom without any curtains to stop it. So the last room was definitely not worth the price

A beautiful resort and a beautiful oasis of calm in the fringes of the busy and vibrant Chiang Mai old town. Loved the staff, the room and the cleanliness of the space. Rooms were fantastic. Had everything we needed. Wonderful touch of the hotel to give us some waterproof phone cases during the wet and wild week of Songkran. Excellent touch.

Nothing really, and I suppose this is probably because many hotels in this tourist friendly area may get a lot of rowdy tourists, but there were seemingly a LOT of rules and regulations. Room service only until 8pm. No alcohol by the pool (or perhaps at all for that matter?) Signs in the room telling guests to ‘be quiet’. Most of which I agree with, but I think the way rules are presented in a hospitality setting needs to be more carefully and tastefully handled. So if I were to give just one recommendation about that, it’d be the tone of voice of the signage and the comms and to maybe lax up on the alcohol policy until at least a certain hour of the evening.

My only concern was the water in the swimming pool - all my three kids got patches of red rash after leaving the swimming pool which didn’t fade until the next day and was bothering them a lot. It looked quite intense. Maybe too much chlorine?

The amazing staff really stood out for us. Whether it was in the lobby, at breakfast, or around the grounds all Smile Lanna personnel were on top of their game and did all they could to delight their guests. Quite possibly the most honest and earnest hotel staff I have ever encountered. The breakfast was delicious and offered many local offerings plus some western offerings (I did not have any western food). The coffee was great. With the hotel being just outside the walls of the old city, we found ourselves walking to many great spots. Taxis, song-taews, tuk-tuks were all readily available from the main road or via Grab.

Sometimes there were large crowds at breakfast because tour groups were invited to dine there, crowding out hotel guests.

pool was amazing, the temperature was perfect and very refreshing as it was mineral water! staff were lovely, especially the man who welcomes everyone in the car park! location was decent. bike hire was easy. shower was lovely!

mosquitoes can and will enter the rooms if they want. we kept all Windows’s and doors closed and still had to deal with them. had to buy our own mosquito killer. It needs way more sun loungers. Pool probably not suitable for young children. The floor in the room was dirty, looked clean but our feet kept getting dirty before bed. gym wasn’t really a gym.
